I had arthritis pain for 30 years. 5 years ago, I eliminated added sugars from my diet and the pain greatly diminished. 2 years ago, I eliminated grains from my diet and my pain disappeared. I am 73 and am on no medications.

@@Sparkling-Cyanide I intermittent fast (7 hour eating window) with nothing in 3 hours before sleep). My nutrient dense diet includes probiotics/prebiotics like plain whole milk kefir or yogurt (mixed with frozen blueberries or frozen mixed berries and pumpkin spice mix), bone broth (often as soup base with COSTCO mixed dried mushrooms, onion, garlic, turmeric with fresh ground black pepper, raw apple cider vinegar), VITAL PROTEINS collagen peptides (1 scoop in café au lait (organic coffee:grass fed whole milk 2:1), kombucha:seltzer 1:1. Raw walnuts or pecans, 1 or 2 oz of chocolate 85% cocoa, banana & avocado (for magnesium), grass fed ground beef, uncured/unsugared bacon, salmon, sardines, anchovies (not the salty ones that come on pizza, get the canned ones on Amazon), mixed cruciferous veggies (with Italian spice mix, olive oil, apple cider vinegar), seaweed snacks (Nori sheets available at Costco) for minerals, surprisingly tasty cod liver (available on Amazon), pasture raised eggs, raw cheese, grass fed butter. I often cook the ground beef or salmon in bacon grease with onions & garlic. My supplements include vitamin D3/K2 gel cap (available on Amazon), krill oil, CoQ10 as ubiquinol, unfortified nutritional yeast (B vitamins), and TRUNATURE lutein & zeaxanthin (Costco). [Some people with acid reflux have problems with cruciferous veggies]. The salty seaweed snacks go well with the sweet kombucha. Good luck.

In the US it was learned about 15+ yrs ago that glyphosate is an excellent desiccant (removes moisture) and thus farmers began spraying wheat and oats with it as a pre harvest practice. As a result and the consumption of glyphosate destroys gut bacteria and the lining in the intestines thus causing all of these autoimmune diseases.

I am 66 and use no pharmaceutical products - prescribed or over the counter for any reason whatsoever. I used to be morbidly obese according to two medical doctors. I used to have a fatty liver condition. I used to have pre-diabetic symptoms. I used to have edema - swelling in the feet and lower legs from excess fluids. That edema sometimes caused serious infections called cellulitis that would require hospital stays and intravenous antibiotics. I used to have COPD symptoms from decades of smoking. I used to have occasional high blood pressure and other chronic health problems for decades. All of these are gone. And they are gone because of intermittent fasting and eating high quality locally produced real foods.
For just over two years, i have been eating just one good meal every day that i prepare myself. I avoid sugars, all highly processed junk 'foods' and excessive carbs - no breads, cereals, pastas, etc. I am healthier and stronger than i was 10 years ago. It is almost like aging in reverse! Barring any serious injuries, there is no need to see any medical doctors. I have no plans to see any in the foreseeable future.

As already noted from a comment, I too eliminated gluten, sugars, processed foods, and dairy. I did this due to digestive issues, acid reflux and a celiac antibody showed up in my bloodwork. (weak positive) Before I could get a biopsy for celiac (the gold standard of diagnosis) I went gluten free etc. I dropped 20 lbs, eliminated brain fog, slept better, no acid reflux, had more energy and am convinced American foods/additives/diet = not healthy. Waiting on results for biopsy but none the less, will continue to eat fresh foods, mostly vegan, walk 150 minutes a week. No gluten has been my key to better health. I too am not on any medications at age 74. (I do have high cholesterol but will not take statins) My diet improved those cholesterol numbers dramatically though.

Norman Borlaug the grandfather of Green Revolution invented High-yield crops. He then together with US government, and Monsanto enforced upon Mexican government to use it in Mexican fields. This drove all the farmers out of their family farms into the city. High-yield crops can’t survive without Monsanto products , but this product then dried out the soil. When Borlaug went back to Mexico, in 80s, he saw the dead soil, empty villages, hungry Mexicans. Did it stop the US government and Monsanto? No! Today USA is dealing with the illegal immigrants, they are the children and grandchildren of those farmers driven out of their villages by the action enforced upon them by the Nobel Prize winner N.Borlaug. His invention is a grain that is a poison we eat today. His work continues today and same as Mexico it is happening in India. In protest, Over 300 thousand Indian farmers took poison as they go bankrupt with this Green revolution, High-yield crops policy enforced upon them by US government during Obama, Monsanto, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. The problems started with her skin, then pain in shoulders when laying in bed, fatigue, bad sleep, pain in leg joints, cataract, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, terrible digestion, and finally sclerodermia which finished her off. NONE of the doctors asked a word about her diet. I tried to put her on a gluten free diet, but it was already too late and I didn't know that it may take up to three months to see results, especially in very complicated cases and elderly. So I gave up after just a few weeks seeing no results.

I got 3 of his books about 10 years ago. The first one was Wheat Belly, I felt so much better following his advice to stop all grains. These grains today are manipulated. To this day I make my muffins from his recipes, almonds ground to flour is a great substitute for white flour. The flax seed makes a great bread. Your ice cream is delicious, some in fridge right now.
Cheese cake with almond flour crust is delicious. My friends ask do I have any blueberry muffins baked when they visit.
This flour does cost a lot more than other flours but it’s worth it. I buy the whole almonds and grind them myself that makes them less costly. Almond flour baked goods keep you full also. I use stevia and put about a quarter teaspoon of regular sugar in the batter that makes a dozen muffins. That little bit takes the after taste of stevia away. You really helped me with my many health problems, I speak of you often. Just got a copy of 30 minute Cookbook for a friend who likes to eat healthy. I changed to a plant based diet not long and along with your advice I feel even better. Doctors are not trying to get rid of our health problems, it’s a matter of making money, it’s sick care not health care.

The rise of celiac and other intestinal diseases is prominent after farmers started spraying wheat with glyphosate. Especially when they started spraying wheat to dry it out for harvesting which is a relatively new practice within the last 20 years.

Where/in which countries has celiac disease risen? Please be as specific and as accurate as you can bc I am interested in getting to the bottom of celiac disease: It’s causes and treatments. I have heard sime European countries diagnose celiac disease in infancy but in other countries such as the USA and Australia, people can be well past middle age before they’re diagnosed, if they are at all. Perhaps the rise of celiac disease you’re referring to is the increase in the numbers of people actually being diagnosed rather than an increase in the prevalence of it? That’s why details and specifics are critical when making decisions based on “the numbers.” I don’t want to make lifestyle and lifelong decisions based on faulty assumptions due to misinformation.

As so many of us are sick, because of how our food choices are grown, we are looking for ways to recover. Nutrition is astronomically complex. Not sure any one way for everyone works. Whatever food makes us healthy needs a healthy soil. Imo non organic farming should be outlawed as a criminal offence against our Earth💚🙏🏽

Why, is it that Europe has a lot less issues with gluten? Here is a few reasons, a) stricter standards of there regulations regarding what comes into there country, b) No roundup, No GMO seeds, No highbred wheat, it alters the original wheat. Gluten isn't the problem, the problem is our foods have been purposely contaminated the wheat, & soil! Not just bread, but most of our foods, just read the ingredients? Some of those ingredients can't even pronouns. Very little regulations on our foods, like pesticides, there should be no pesticides allow to be used in any of our foods. So folks be aware of all the foods we are eating. My brother was in Vietnam back in the day, fast forward to now, this country allowed Agent Orange "chemical herbicide and defoliant defoliant, one of the tactical use Rainbow Herbicides" It was used by the USA Military as part of its herbicidal warfare program". From 1961 to 1971" look it up, so back to my brother is was in Vietnam about that time !966, 67. Just a year he got cancer, so make a long story short, there a class action lawsuit by a group of Vietnam veterans, & the courts ruled in there favor
so my brother was compensated for this violation. I'm sure he would rather have his health, then the money that was award to him. Look up Agent Orange side-effects a long list. So what is my point? This are the same companies that created Roundup (glyphosate) Monsanto's. So folks this Herbicide, no different than Agent Orange, it's in our water, like fluoride, other contaminates! I can to my local Hardware store & its available to purchase! We the USA has Absolutely No standers, these poisons should never be allowed to be used on our foods. One last thing glyphosate cause cancer of the lymph nodes, already proven look it up! So nothing is wrong with the original uncontaminated wheat that was created by God. It got us through many a difficult time way back in the day, this country & all over the world, when I grew-up back in the 1950's, 60's 70's there was no problem with Gluten none at all. This is what these doctors should asking what happen the Wheat? Italy has no problem with sourdough bread, or France? What.

the wrong bacteria can crawl up your guts only if the pass through speed is slower. So first thing is to increase speed until you reach a frequency of 1x per day. Education = conditioning the gut is everything.
There are many natural ways to speed things up, but use each of them with slow integration. Next some anti biotics: Add garlic, but only 1x every other week, but in high dose. Cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, mint.(edit: for a few days 50mg zinc 1x daily before eating.) Third part: recultivation with proper food. Part 4: persistence

Lo and behold a few montgs later his blood test and ultrasound scan showed he no longer had NAFLD.

@@CarnivoreDMD I am lactose intolerant so can never have dairy without acute diarrhea. What would you eat if you were lactose intolerant? I don’t think I could live without eating produce. Sometimes I have to force myself to eat animal flesh bc it’s so dry/doesn’t contain sufficient water in it to motivate me to keep chewing it. Eggs I could do. Stewed meats, for example, would work OK.

All these foods have antinutrients that either destroy or remove iron. I eat carnivore and offal like liver 98% of the time but really struggle with eating out or with friends because everyone eats a grain or ultra processed based diet. If I go along with 'not wanting to cause a fuss' and eat what I'm given I suffer for the next few days with bloating, gas and stomach pains so I know that those foods are not meant for humans. The whole microbiome discussion is really valuable. The next step probably. But I would wish for a more nuanced discussion. Instead of declaring all grains bad, I think we need to realize that the goal should be to bring the digestive tract back to a state, where we can work with grains.
Many world class athletes would laugh in someones face, if they said that e.g. oatmeal is bad for them. And many more would just not do that, because they are too respectful.
Now, the follower of nutrition research might believe they would all be performing better without.
That though just speaks of a lack of knowledge of competitive sports nutrition, because what athletes eat, is not determined by brainwashing through mainstream dietists, but by trial and error and the repeated victory of the food that works, via athletes who eat them.
So, leave grains out to avoid problems with a compromised gut? Yes!
Is leaving them out the end-all be-all of human nutrition? Nope.

    • @winniecash1654

All you need is to experience my gut on grains to know grains aren't good for me. Whether it's gluten or glyphosate, they tear me up inside. I'm only talking about myself and some other people I know who have the same problem. I wouldn't know if this is true for everyone everywhere.

    • @advex4428
      @advex4428 Год назад +3

@@winniecash1654 I agree. I just would wanna see the discussion on two different levels.
1.) People with problems, like you and myself. Then the advice to avoid grains with gluten is valuable.
2.) People without symptoms. Then it may be bad advice, depending on the personal situation. I like to talk about athletes for this. They know they perform better on grains, so it wouldn't be smart to avoid them, cutting off their income in case of pros.
I just would like to see more discussion about getting back to tolerating all foods, like eg water fasting has gotten a bunch of foods back into my diet already, without problems now.
And those that legitimately help people with problems by putting out information should be more aware, that having those problems is not normal, so they also would try to lead people back to complete health.

I am ok eating non-gluten grains. And overall, I believe we must be smart about it and do what the ancestors did. In the case of grains, soaking it overnight in an acid, and for bread eating sourdough bread. These little critters, the fermentation bacteria, are your friends. Yes, they get killed during baking.
