- Learn how to make classic all butter clothespin cookies. Also known as lady locks or cream horns, depending on where you are from. This is an all butter recipe for a flaky buttery pastry cookie dough and a lightly sweet old fashioned ermine frosting with a new twist of lemon ermine frosting and a mini chocolate chip ermine frosting. Two flavor combinations from one frosting. Truly my most favorite Christmas cookie ever.

I made these ladylocks for my mother's birthday, exact recipe, and I'm so grateful for how they turned out. Thank you for such clear instructions, and I WILL be making these in the future!!
I’m so glad you liked the recipe. It can be a bit tricky at first but with practice it gets easier. Thanks for leaving your experience and review and for your support of the channel. I’m so appreciative. Merry Christmas 🎄& Happy Birthday to your mother!
I live in Colorado, never heard of this cookie. I may have to try to make it.
It is a regional cookie native to the area I'm from with a large population of Eastern European immigrants. I hope you gave the cookie recipe a try.
Adorable 🥰 will try this with my daughter who is going to cooking school 😇
Thank you for watching & commenting. 😊❤️🍓🍫
My favorite ❤
I know mom! Love you ❤️
What is your favorite Christmas cookie? Do you have cookie recipes specific to the region you came from or live in?
how do u "season" the clothes pins?
After a few years of using my clothespins the oil and butter oozing out of the dough while baking has gone rancid. This year I had to soak them in a baking soda & vinegar solution. I dried them in the sun and wrapped them with tinfoil and then lightly oiled with extra virgin olive oil. I stored them in my garage in a ziplock bag but now I'm going to store them in my freezer when I have room. I also live in a tropical area so my garage is always warm. Lesson learned. I hope that helps.
What is a seasoned clothes pin?? Is it sprayed with nonstick spray?
Yes, but I use olive oil. But any nonstick spray or oil will work. The more you season them the better they get.
Can you freeze these cookies?
Debbie, yes you can freeze them. I wouldn’t go past 3 months in the freezer though. Thanks for your question.
@@thekitchenprescription1821 Can you freeze them already filled? How long can they sit out, filled, once thawed.
Great video! I hope by now you’ve gotten your kitchen fixed by now, for you! not us 😊
