😄😄😄😄❤❤❤❤❤ yayyy! Prrettyyy CANDY
I was like what a cute name for a channel and candy why isn't this more popular then..., that elf!!
That elf! You either lover her or hate her.
Tried it for the first time - success with both batches 😊
Thank you for your comment, review, and support of the channel. Happy New Year! 🎊
I made these ladylocks for my mother's birthday, exact recipe, and I'm so grateful for how they turned out. Thank you for such clear instructions, and I WILL be making these in the future!!
I’m so glad you liked the recipe. It can be a bit tricky at first but with practice it gets easier. Thanks for leaving your experience and review and for your support of the channel. I’m so appreciative. Merry Christmas 🎄& Happy Birthday to your mother!
How hot would you say this sauce ends up being in the end?
It depends on how long you reduce it down. The longer you reduce it the hotter it is. But if you reduced for about 10 minutes after you pour in hot sauce it has a nice kick but won’t burn your face or lips off. Hope that helps 😊
@thekitchenprescription1821 Yes that helps, thank you!
I'm thrilled to find your video and recipe! My grandmother used to make this lovely rock candy at Christmas time, and though there are other recipe videos out there, this one is the most helpful and precise. I also love the idea of using a pizza cutter to score the candy .Thank you!
Awe, I loved reading that nostalgic sentiment. Thank you for your sweet comment and support of the channel. Merry Christmas & happy candy 🍭 making!🎄🎁
@@thekitchenprescription1821I''ve just finished making my first batch and it turned out perfect! I scored the candy with my pizza cutter as you suggested and it broke apart in perfect little squares. ❤ I would say you definitely need a good candy thermometer-- but using mine and following your directions, it's a foolproof recipe. Thanks again-- can't wait to gift this candy to family!
@@astridexplorer5096 I’m so thrilled you enjoyed the recipe. It can be tricky for sure but with enough repetition it really becomes easier each time. I always use my candy thermometer and (knock on wood) haven’t had a bad batch yet. It’s such a nostalgic candy to make for Christmas and share with family and friends. Thank you for reporting your experience and results back with the recipe. I appreciate your support of the channel.
Will they work in silicone molds?
Yeah
Michelle, I pour my candy onto silicone in the video, so yes silicone molds will work but make sure they are silicone. The hot candy will melt plastic for sure! Hope that helps and thanks for watching the channel.
@ the ones Michael’s sells. Are they real silicon?
bake at 450 or 425.... discription says 425 but video says 450? which is correct ? thank you in advance
425° F. I made a mistake in the video font and couldn’t correct it. You could bake for 10 minutes at 425° then turn down to 375° the rest of baking time for best results. I hope that helps. Thanks for your comment & support of the channel.
how long do you smoke your wings
To be honest , the mister smokes the wings but I’d say around 30-40 minutes. I’ll get a more precise answer and get back to you.
will this work using Splenda for the sugar ?
I've never tested the recipe using Splenda so I'm sorry but I can't answer your question. You can maybe try a small batch and see if it works. If so, come back and let us know, you might be able to help someone else out who has the same question. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Yes
how do u "season" the clothes pins?
After a few years of using my clothespins the oil and butter oozing out of the dough while baking has gone rancid. This year I had to soak them in a baking soda & vinegar solution. I dried them in the sun and wrapped them with tinfoil and then lightly oiled with extra virgin olive oil. I stored them in my garage in a ziplock bag but now I'm going to store them in my freezer when I have room. I also live in a tropical area so my garage is always warm. Lesson learned. I hope that helps.
Cute ❤❤❤
Thanks mama!
How do you make the bow so pretty
I wrapped it around my two fingers several times then slid it off my fingers then tied another strand of ribbon down the center and fluffed out all the layers. I kinda just winged it so thank you for saying it’s pretty!
This is hilarious! 😆
😬😬😬
some people have celiacs
And some people are allergic to chocolate. What’s your point? It’s a light hearted video. Relax 🧘
weird
Someone “supposedly” inclusive calling me weird. Hmmm, 🤔 now where have I heard that before?
I live in Colorado, never heard of this cookie. I may have to try to make it.
It is a regional cookie native to the area I'm from with a large population of Eastern European immigrants. I hope you gave the cookie recipe a try.
😂
🤪
What a trip down memory lane! I don’t eat hot peppers 🌶️🫑in oil but it sure reminds me of what used to be served at the old Alberini’s on 422 in Niles 😉 when we go back to the area to visit family I have found them at White House Farms. I think 🤔 Rulli Bros. used to sell a mild and hot version too.
I used to eat at Alberini's on the regular when I lived in Niles. I miss those days of my kids being little. I didn't realize how precious those times were. I also love Whit House Farms and go there in the summer and fall when I visit home. My daughter and I took my granddaughter in September and we had such a great afternoon. Such nostalgia! Thanks for commenting and supporting the channel it is much appreciated. Wish you all the best!
I have lived in Rochester, NY for 43 years now but was born in raised in the Youngstown area. Thank you for taking me along on this little road trip in my hometown. What a beautiful little granddaughter 🌸 she must be at least two-years-old by now. Does she have any new siblings yet? 😉
It's so funny how small the world is. My partner is from the Niagara Falls area born and raised but during college he lived in Rochester for several years. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and trip down memory lane. And yes, my granddaughter has a new brother. He joined the family this past July! My cup runneth over! Thanks for supporting the channel and commenting.
Adorable 🥰 will try this with my daughter who is going to cooking school 😇
Thank you for watching & commenting. 😊❤️🍓🍫
Why would you make a cartoon out of this serious business where children can be burned?
You might be wound a bit too tight. I literally made some elf cartoon entertainment sharing a recipe and a negative person( ie you) always comes to ruin the day. I stated in the video it’s not for kids and extremely hot and dangerous. I’m not responsible for what parents let their children do. Your negativity and rudeness is not welcome here. Do it again and you’re blocked.
Can you freeze these cookies?
Debbie, yes you can freeze them. I wouldn’t go past 3 months in the freezer though. Thanks for your question.
I use a similar cast iron tortilla press, but I press and cook them at the same time by doing it on the stove. It's so simple and takes 10 seconds each :) Not sure why I would press them then cook them separately?
Hi, You don't HAVE to press them and cook them separately. You have your own way. Admittedly, that is a great idea. Thanks for the tip.
I can see your nose hairs in those excessive and unnecessary close-up shots. Loved the recipe and the history lesson by the way.
😂😂😂 I had the wrong lens so you got nose 👃🏻 hair. Regardless, thanks for the back handed compliment.
@@thekitchenprescription1821 I apologize for my criticism. I was "hangry" and looking for a good treat to make. I did find one here. Thanks!
What is a seasoned clothes pin?? Is it sprayed with nonstick spray?
Yes, but I use olive oil. But any nonstick spray or oil will work. The more you season them the better they get.
Omg this are NOT flour tortillas ,way to thick 😂😂
Thanks for your opinion which I give zero thoughts about. I’ll continue to make them the way I choose. You do you and make your own tortillas and videos. Everybody wins.
@@thekitchenprescription1821 kinda reactive for a YT channel....
@@elizabethheyenga9277 if she has a better way to make them then she should have her own channel and video instructions, then she can see what it’s like for people to petty criticize hours of work and editing. Some things I can let slide but being a smart a$$ isn't one of them. You don't have to like what I post. I don't mind constructive criticism but smugness and rudeness won't be tolerated here. Keep scrolling on to the next video if my content isn't for you.
did you use baking soda or baking powder, because in the ingredients it says baking soda but the instructions say baking powder.
Sorry about that. I use baking soda for this recipe. I fixed the error in the directions. Thank you. 😊
@@thekitchenprescription1821 ok thanks, I promised my mom that I would make Christmas cookies this year even though I am bad at baking but your video gave me courage 😄
no thank you. don't call them tortillas..call them wraps.
Oh hey there. Guess what? I’ll call them whatever I choose. Go make your own tortillas on your own channel. You have choices.
Looks good and you are very beautiful
Is the sauce recipe posted somewhere? This looks delish!
The recipe link for the sauce is in the description. It’s posted on my website. Thank you for watching.
@@thekitchenprescription1821 Thank you- I saw the other dough recipe and assumed I had a bad link….I just didn’t scroll down far enough!
@@ThingsILove2266 Maybe I’ll film a short pizza sauce recipe video. It may be slightly different than the one in the link but not very much. I use whole peeled canned Italian plum tomatoes and crush them by hand.
@@thekitchenprescription1821 Please do!

Thanks for watching. 😊❤️🍓🍫
Today I'm paying tribute to my favorite Valentine's and sharing a quick & easy few ingredient recipe for delicious chocolate covered strawberries. What is your favorite Valentine's Day dessert and do you celebrate Valentine's Day or think it is overrated?
I absolutely love this recipe. Make it all the time from my rosemary plant. As good as macaroni grill was 👍
Thank you so much Krissy. Thanks for trying the recipe and leaving a review on your experience. It’s much appreciated.
If I don’t have a stand mixer is it possible to use a bowl and my hand? Assuming I will get different results
Yes, just knead the dough by hand. I don’t always use my stand mixer when I make dough. In fact, I get more satisfaction kneading dough by hand. Just knead it until it is smooth.
I like ur videos, you come across as a very friendly person.
I appreciate that! Thank you.
You were awesome until you started going on and on.
Touché sir. Well deserved. I am who I am. I do try to stick to a script. I also try to be concise and intentional with food introductions. I am constantly trying to improve my video making and script skills. Thank you for taking the time to watch and share your experience.
I learned a few pointers. Thanks for the video. I hope my pizza turns out as awesome.
thank you for sharing, however, I tried this and I don't care for it. my dough did not look as beautiful and smooth as yours.
I'm so sorry the bread didn't turn out the way you had hoped. Or maybe you didn't care for the taste? Thank you for 1.) Being kind with your comment and 2.) Giving your honest experience of making this bread. Unfortunately, there are so many other factors that can alter one person's bread from another. Sometimes, climate and moisture in the air can be an issue. It could be an issue with too much flour or not enough water, etc. Possibly, the dough wasn't kneaded enough. Things such as what I mentioned and more can affect baking, even oven temperatures. May I ask if you bake bread often or infrequently? Experience can also play a part in baking bread. However, if you bake often it could be that you simply don't care for the taste of the bread...which is okay. Thank you for taking time to watch the video and leave a comment on your experience.
My favorite ❤
I know mom! Love you ❤️
What is your favorite Christmas cookie? Do you have cookie recipes specific to the region you came from or live in?
You can use molds as well
Yes.Molds are another great idea. They just need to make sure the molds are silicone so they won’t melt.
Beautiful pieces, and thank you for the pizza cutter tip!!
Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy Holidays!
I know I’m late, but there is no video’s whatsoever on how to make hard candy 😑 thank you for making one that’s actually understandable!!! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁
Thank you very much. It’s very easy once you get the hang of it. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! Thanks for watching and commenting.
You even put the recipe WITH MEASUREMENTS in the description!! THANK YOU!!!!! Great video, this’ll be my 3rd year making these delicious cookies!
I’m always afraid to look at the comments because people can be so mean, but this was a nice surprise. Thank you! I appreciate the feedback and that you enjoy making these cookies
Thank you for this video😊
My pleasure. Thanks for watching & commenting.
Mine is still gooey how long until it’s hard?
Did you use a candy thermometer? I can't really help you without more specific information, and I'm sorry you had issues.
Beautiful. I'm making today.
I hope you enjoyed the recipe.
Thanks for this smaller flour tortilla recipe! I like to melt the butter/lard in the water (microwave) and add to the flour. Much easier! :)
