I'm a UK resident just back from a holiday in California. Now I understand why size matters and massive SUV's and pick up trucks are so popular and make sense in the US. The country is huge.

Dave B. Thanks for great content. You only left out MSRP pricing on each Sir is significant--I opted for the 2021 3LT Traverse w/leather as was over $28k less than any similar spec Suburban or Tahoe, on the lot in Middletown NJ, fairly close to half the price. Regards Rich

I like that these vehicles have good looking, normal wheels. I detest the 'forward motion' design on many cars today.
When you say the cargo door opening is bigger on Tahoe than on the Traverse, it would have been helpful to measure the width and height of the cargo opening to show the difference. Also, it would have been nice to talk about other differences besides external dimensions. Width of the driver's seat, hip room, practical hauling differences, etc. Can one go into much tougher conditions than the other? What is the point where Traverse would no longer handle the dirt road without possible damage, but Suburban would, for example?

That was awesome that she was able to show us a lamp but what about shoulder room within the cabin itself for two adults in the front for the suburban Tahoe and the traverse
got such a good price on my tahoe, was gonna go to a traverse but this new tahoe is awesome.....may have to drive up from woodbridge and check it out
? I have carried a stack of 4x8 plywood in the back of my 2018 Traverse.. just have to move the front pair a bit closer to the dash. I don't recall if I had them sitting a inch or two on the center con.

The Traverse looks so outdated when compared next to the Tahoe and Suburban but still all nice vehicles!
The new Traverse refresh should be out this summer.. That'll get it inline with the Tahoe/Suburban

For me the Tahoe es the most valuable of the 3 because of the price, suburban is crazy expensive. Can I remove the bottom cover in the cargo in the Tahoe to make more depth space???

The Tahoe and suburban are higher, but ground clearance is also higher, so you don't necessarily get that hight in interior space...

Tahoe has 24 more cubic feet of cargo space with the seats down. That's significant. But, so is the price difference between them.

another good video, just watch your other video from 2019. like that you showed the difference in rear space, that is one of my concerns. waiting for the 2022 traverse to come to market. want to test drive. I'm worried about the comfort of the front seats, I drive a pick-up (2019) and we love the comfort to go on long trips, and our needs at home. I test drove a couple of the new suv's and the seats seem to be small and not very comfortable.do you know when the 2022 traverse will be available to test drive.

Get a minivan instead of a traverse, the traverse is impractical.

I think the Traverse would do the trick. If you need extra space you can always do rooftop or hitch cargo container. I've had a few clients get those for road trips.
I'd say for just getting around town & as a grocery getter, I'd rather have the Traverse + it fits in the garage easier. However, if I took 4-5hr road trips & had a boat, I'd rather have the Tahoe. The Burb is just bigger than what I would need.

Can someone PLEASE tell me for how long these Chevy/gmc/ Cadillac been making these trucks for??? And why in the world they won’t put a headrest for middle second and third row seats??? How a person supposed to sit comfortably in middle without a headrest on a long trip !!!???!!
The Suburban is the longest running line with 80 years. The Tahoe is pretty much a shorter Suburban. Since back in the day Chevy and GMC have shared models hence why the Denali and Tahoe seem so similar.
Hey Dave, whats your opinion on Tahoe reliability these days? Are they toyota tier reliable? 2020-2021. Ive heard bad things about the 10 speed transmission and other nitpicks.. what say you?
Based on the lack of client complaints I get I'd say they are pretty reliable. Short of some oil consumption issues a number of years ago they've been pretty bullet proof. As far as the 10-speed, I've really only had one client that openly complained about it in his GMC Yukon Denali... He never had issues with it, he just didn't like the way it shifted. That was a couple years ago.

What's the process like if you are buying a car from out of state? i.e. live in PA but buy a car in NJ. I hear it takes ages to get proper tags. Thanks!
Last time I bought out of state it wasn't much longer - maybe a week or two. But it should be the same process as buying in state but tell the dealer you're registering the car out of state so they can do PA tax instead of where you're buying it. Private seller you'll pay sales tax when you register the car. Otherwise you'll need to pay the difference in sales tax when you register the vehicle. How soon does a dealership send payment to customers previous lender to pay off a trade?
We usually get a 10-day payoff from the bank to give us a little time to process the deal.

Hey bud we might be flying to Montreal at the end of the year, there are 2 adults and 4 children, but 2 children are almost adults, so 6 in total. Which of the 3 do you think would do the trick? (I know I'm like 6 months late lol )
Seating in all three will be fine for 6.. It will all depend on how much luggage.. The Suburban will give you the most space. 2021 Traverse and 2021 Tahoe are pretty equal. If it is a 2020 or older Tahoe you won't have enough room.
A Honda odyssey, Traverse are for soccer moms who think they are cool in a crossover.

its simple really, the traverse for us mere mortals and the tahoe/suburban for the elites haha. but real nice trucks.

My mom rented a traverse from enterprise and the funny thing is she scrapped the whole passenger side on a concrete pole at the bank and the rental company was in shock
oh wow..
Traverse third row room is cramped and has no space and will crush your knees, the Tahoe is kind of acceptable but the suburban is so spacious and much more room in the third row.
(Edit: keep in mind that’s without moving the seat assuming you have 6 adults in the car)
