Once per week is fine.
Thank you for the video. I'd advise using a length of 0.75-1.00mm every one/two weeks. Going deeper into the skin won't help much more. It's better to up the frequency. As in a lot of things, less is more.
What needle is suitable for a beard?
Good stuff! Probably much better than the dermaroller. I thought I heard some people recommending dermarolling twice a week (with 0.5 mm needles). So probably it should be the same frequency with the pen.
It is better to have a much shorter beard and use some kind of ointment to help it glide or you may be irritating your face if you are not careful. If doing it dry, jump from spot to adjacent spot without dragging it.
I bought PIPM microneedler, the knockoff. just used it. Turns out its depth needed to be calibrated. .
Im basically Nick Cage in Face-off right now.
Bruh, At what speed is the microneedling device set to and also how long does it usually take to complete one full session of microneedling for beard growth?
Question, how come the needles don't cut the hair you have already in your beard?
Bro, is this .5 or 1 mm?
I got the derminator 2 on the way, I don’t plan to use minoxidil on my head or beard I just use finaesteride which is to just maintain my head and stop my crown thinning, and there’s a small chance it will regrow and increase the lost density there.
I have heard minoxidil is tedious and greasy also I’m mainly just avoiding it because a con of minoxidil is that once you start using it abruptly stopping will lead to a worse result than if you never used it at all.
Hopefully finaesteride and derminator 2 can boost the thickness on my crown and I’ll also use it for a weak area in my beard.
For beard gains you can use minoxidil and keep the progress even after stopping because unlike your crown it doesn’t thin out. thank the lord and savior for that logic 🤣
Dud Minoxidil literally does the opposite lmao. Once you take it for a good period of time and stop your beard growth will continue to be increased after you stop taking it.
Finasteride blocks dht. So it might impact beard growth in a negatief way
how's it going?
Is there anyone that could actually give feedback on this whom also used derma roller. Is this actually much better than the derma roller or only more convenient?
I can't speak from experience, but I've read lots of people saying that a roller is much harsher on your face, due to the angle that the micro needles go in at (say at a 45 degree angle as opposed to a 0 degree angle with the pen).
what length is your pen at?
It sounds like he said 2mm, which is insane. Most people use 0.5mm weekly or 1mm every two weeks.
@@kungfoochicken08 yeah no way it's 2mm, 1.5mm on head kinda hurts, imagine 2mm on face where you are even more sensitive
0.5mm for Beard , 1.5mm for you head ...
what's the needle type? 11? 36? nano?
Did you know the answer? Because I don't know what type of needle it is
Where are you from
less is better, fakir effect
@@K90iktbf it doesnt matter, what matters is how deep it goes. 36, 42, 12,16 everything is fine with less needles you just need to go iver the area more times with more needles u need to go less obviously
What length are your needles at and how long do you wait to apply the minoxidil after you microneedle? Have a small scar on my scalp which lacks hair growth and would like to help with that.
1. IMPORTANT THINGS FIRST. ONLY USE THE MINOXIDIL MADE FOR WOMEN. Just want to get that out there as Minox was originally for men so the original formula might give you unwanted side effects. ALSO CLEAN THE AREA BEFORE MICRONEEDLING, the needles are penetrating your skin so the dirtier the area and/or needles the more likely you are to accidentally infect the micro-wounds.
2. Hair follicles *on the scalp* lie at about 1-2mm into the skin, so needles of about 1.5mm should be ok. Basically don't go too deep or you risk doing more harm than good.
3. Use Minox *a day or 2 after* microneedling. Don't use it on the same day as your skin will absorb too much Minox, to the point of absorbing it literally into your bloodstream and causing unwanted side effects like headaches etc. If your still getting side effects increase the number of days you wait until it's ok.
4. Last tip is to be consistent with applying Minox and your microneedling. This isn't an overnight fix so don't be discouraged if results are slow
Best of luck
Also want to let you know I don't think microneedling or minoxidil will work on scar tissue. Scar tissue does not have any hair follicles to be stimulated, so I would assume it'd be pointless. Also I'd never recommend minoxidil to a woman anyways as the side effects could be worse then your possible results. If the area where hair doesn't grow is pretty small, don't worry about it at all as it probably isn't even remotely noticeable to others. Be confidant in yourself and maybe think of the scar as a story to tell, or a memory that shouldn't be forgotten.
Are u using any medication? Like growth factors
I was applying Minoxidil to my beard and that was it.
@@LettingManKnow monoxidil is good, but is quite limited. The good thing about growth factors are that they speed up some phases of the hair growth. For example IGF, bFGF, VEGF and copper peptide. They are the most common and has some nice results (specially on microneedling)
Márcus Alves This is new to me man, I’ll have to look it up, sounds quite interesting looking at other health benefits
@@LettingManKnow also check about LLLT for hair growth (scalp + beard). It's pretty interesting and really works (it has some serious studies about it). I've bought mine from AliExpress a couple of weeks ago and I've been using it for the past month (every other day). I still didn't see results since I don't have any beard at all, so it will take time to grow something there hahahah
I've bought this one:
