Hey brother. So I've been jumping on a finasteride I used it earlier last year same brand different effects different results I've only went back on it for this one month so we'll see what the rest of the four months will look like but I was wondering is there anyway you could do a video speaking on different types of finasteride because they're not all the same I've been switched out and it actually caused me to lose the hair because they switch brands on me
why you talk about hair if you don't have any problem with hair of have hair system? I don't wanna hear bulls*t from somebody that haven't even cured hisself.
I still have 60% of hair on scalp, i bought hairliciuosly stamp adjustable ,but i am not sure if i should do needling. I read somewhere its not good to do so if u already have hair it can damage hair.
The info I've been able to gather is that 1. You do not need to make the scalp bleed. 2. Using needles that are too long can damage the hair follicles. I've personally experimented with 0.5mm dermaroller and even though the needles are quite short, I am able to make my scalp bleed by applying relatively light pressure. I can't imagine using the recommended 1.5mm roller.
I have used my derminator 2 on my beard area with 1.5mm and had very little pinpoint bleeding. It is thought rolling can cause needles to go in and out at an angle which can cause damage
I thought after two years you'd learn how you shouldn't be doing a 1.5mm 1 or 2 times a week. if anything it's once every 2 or 3 weeks. you're not allowing time to heal
1.5 mm leaves scalp in my case completely bloody with blood dripping down forehead. Scalp thickness varies greatly. For some 1.5 mm doesnt leave any mark. For others 1.5 mm is equivalent to 2.5 mm for group one.
Thanks for sharing this great therapy. I have a question about the needles amount. There are 16, 24, 32, 48 pins of needle head, but which one you recommend to use for hair regrowth? I have 16 pins one, but considering to use 32, is that ok? Thank you!
The higher the amount of needles, the more tolerable the procedure is. There is no point in suffering, so you have to find the cartridge which is ideal for you. I use 36 needles and t is tolerable. I use either light gliding technique along the hair growth lines, or stamping. 16 needles was way too painful and even 24 needles cartridge was unpleasant. I use that for the neck and face( until I use them all and then will stick to 36 needles only).

Thanks for the video! I don't get pinpoint bleeding when I microneedle ( 1,5 mm ) my crown where hair is very thin and rare, but I do get some where hair is still "alive". Does it mean that blood circulation is very poor at that area?
Yes. Try massaging those areas. But hard massage. Close to what you would do when you try to pop a pimple. You will see blood being pushed in to skin. Helped me allot
Yeah don't do it then. Studies have shown a lot of times that lower depth may be more beneficial that higher. I recommend 0.75 - 1 mm, it will give results for sure.

Good video. Thanks for publishing it. But I'm confused by your statements on the depth of the epidermis, dermis, and hair follicle. Everything I have read consistently puts the hair bulb at 4 - 7 mm below the skin, with a depth of between 4 - 5 mm being average. This is from medical doctor input. Am I missing something here?
@@jamest4198 Indeed. Hence the aforementioned 4 - 7 mm range. I’ve seen that from multiple sources, the latest on the Donovan Medical site, a hair restoration MD out of Canada. It appears that needles don’t need to penetrate anywhere near that length to be effective. Thanks for your response.
@@jamest4198 This is brilliant! I’m curious where you got the quoted comments on the length of time it takes to heal. Also, I hope you’re a member of the Perfect Hair Health community that Rob English runs. Your science and data based observations are right in line with their forum. Thanks for this
@@deni040200 Hey your welcome friend. I have removed the quotes because I intend to start my own channel someday and I don't want Mr hairliciously to steal all my ideas lol. To be honest I don't really like that guy for numerous reason I won't bother going into, but the main reason is because he heavily advocates 1.5m for micro-needling which in my opinion will decimate some peoples follicles, and that would be super devastating for anyone to experience. Is hairliciously going to compensate those viewers of his that damage their follicles who use needle lengths that are too long? TBO even if I had $1,000,000 I would not give it up for the sake of my hair, so compensation wouldn't even interest me anyway. I also have a problem with the frequency he recommends, which if you have read my quotes will understand that when it comes to micro-needling sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to skin healing and rejuvenation. Young people in particular are prone to acting hastily, and may tend to rush out and go nuts after watching these kind of youtube videos, and some of these people will undoubtedly end up with more hair loss as a result of coming on too strong with the micro-needling. Micro-needling as a hair loss treatment is still in it's infancy really, and although it definitely holds promise, the ideal treatment regime hasn't really been figured out yet. Therefore it is wise to take time and consider numerous factors and adopt a conservative approach. I believe there is enough info out there for us to use our intelligence to carefully and safely experiment with this if we adopt a conservative approach. Finally to answer your question, I discovered those quotes from various internet sites and also from micro-needling videos on youtube (micro-needling videos made by females for general skin treatment). The bottom line is this; I would recommend everyone interested in micro-needling to start with 0.5m perhaps once every 4-6 weeks. Just try it out for 2 sessions (so if one was doing it once a month just try it out for two months with a once monthly session). If no results were found, rather than increasing the needle length maybe one could try increasing the frequency, rather than needle length. Also there are hygiene factors that need to be considered, for example it is HIGHLY advisable to refrain from heavy exercise for at least 3 days following micro-needling, because sweat can interfere with wound healing and also induce bacteria build up etc. I am not currently active in any hair loss communities right now, but i'll keep your recommendation in mind, it's always good to share info and compare notes (and stories) with others. Have you tried micro-needling yet and how have you found it personally? Any results, or did it hurt? Here is another quote that may not be completely relevant to us but is interesting nevertheless; “Aesthetician here....I am assuming you are using a 36 pin tip as you are doing CIT. Also, I think it is extremely dangerous to teach people to needle until they bleed. When you are needling, you are causing an inflammatory response. So whatever you are needling into the channels gets treated as a pathogenic invader and becomes worthless if you are bleeding because the body is trying to heal the injury. A 36 needle is for Collagen Induction Therapies where a 12 pin or 9 pin is for scarring. Collagen builds in the skin at only a .50 depth. I feel unless you are needling for Hypertrophic scarring or things like Acne Scarring or Stretchmarks, there is not really any need to go higher than 1.0mm. It is frequency and companion treatments that will be of a benefit. Not deeper needling which can cause things like Collagen Noduling which has to be removed by a Doctor and injections to break up the Collagen. Please be safe with this at home. I just wish this video was teaching a viewer to be much more sanitary to when needling. Viewers are much more aggressive and this video can be very dangerous when it comes to a novice needler or someone who is not a professional. I know this video was made out of love, but there is so much more that can go wrong....and P.S. Beauty is NOT about how much pain you can tolerate. Needling incorrectly can actually cause a person to look aged”.
@@jamest4198 Thanks dude. As for myself... microneedling every two weeks (was every week but dialed that back), with 12 pin Dr.Pen, only on hairline, at 1.5 mm (which I may reduce to 1.0 now). Hi. If i split a 5MG Finasteride pill, cut it half and take today 2.5MG. And the other 2.5MG, 4 days after. Will the half pill ( cutted ) lose effectiveness during those 4 days?

I actually used Minoxidil for a little while I had my cat and didn't know of the potential toxicity to them. She slept on my pillow too, but I don't think it effected her. I had no clue at the time. I stopped with Minoxidil for a few years but when I started again I learned of the potential danger and stopped immediately(while sanitizing anything and everything my head may have come into contact with). Unfortunately I had to put my cat down this past fall(not related to anything about Minoxidil), but I did use Minoxidil again while I still had her. I just made sure to wash my hair/scalp thoroughly before I went to bed. So, it can still be used in conjunction with having a cat but my advice would be wash your hair/scalp thoroughly before placing your head on anything your cat may lay on. Better safe than sorry.

But how many pins should I use? the 16 or 38?
Thanks for the video. Would a needling pen without any oral pills promote regrowth?
Hi ! What do You think about microneedling one time every two , three weeks ?? Im bleeding so much and pain is terrible with 1.5 mm
Yeah don't do it then. Studies have shown a lot of times that lower depth may be more beneficial that higher. I recommend 0.75 - 1 mm, it will give results for sure.
after our dermapen session, do we just leave our head like that or are there positive therapeutic effects if you put oils after or wash it after or something?
I usually wash mine or wipe the blood away. As far as minox is concerned, most studies have the patients wait 24 hours before applying it.

Is it possible to damage my hair irreversibly with 1.5 mm roller by bleeding the scalp much? @hairliciously

Which model did you buy? I’m looking at the m8 model but I can’t really decide

What kind of hair oil?
What needle length did you use?
You really shouldnt do it more than once a month the skin needs time to recover.

There is variation in scalp thickness etc between individuals.
I am not currently active in any hair loss communities right now, but i'll keep your recommendation in mind, it's always good to share info and compare notes (and stories) with others. Have you tried micro-needling yet and how have you found it personally? Any results, or did it hurt? Here is another quote that may not be completely relevant to us but is interesting nevertheless;
“Aesthetician here....I am assuming you are using a 36 pin tip as you are doing CIT.
I don't micro until blood is present... redness yes. After ~ 9 months definitely new hair visible. Not a super lot, but definitely noticeable. Hope to see you on PerfectHairHealth. You'd be an important voice. Peace :)
hi! how long after a hair transplant can I start microneedling?
Why would you if you had a hair transplant
I found that when I was rolling I could use a 1.00mm but now that I am using the Dr. Pen, it hurts and I can only handle .50mm but I don't have have much hair and my hair is thin so it's directly on my scalp which is also thin skin. I want to increase the length but I am afraid of the pain.
You can apply a topical anesthetic like lidocaine
1,5mm too painful 🙄
Apparently rollers do not penetrate to the full needle depth, so a 1.5mm roller and .75mm pen may be going to the same depth.
If it says ".25" whatever the cartridge is, is the length still adjustable???
Yes 0.25 is the needle width. You adjust the depth on the pen

I just started needling with a 1.5mm 12-pin Dr Pen and am going after my receding hairline. I want to attack it up to the point where the thinning starts (about 1.5" back). Is there any danger in needling over a dense amount of hair?

Is 0.75 derma roller effective for hairgrowth?
Hi. If i split a 5MG Finasteride pill, cut it half and take today 2.5MG. And the other 2.5MG, 4 days after. Will the half pill ( cutted ) lose effectiveness during those 4 days?
Very high dose. Unless you don't have any specific illness you shouldn't take more than 1 mg per day. But there are studies that 0.1-0.2 mg have the same effect on lowering DHT. And much less side effects.
Does gauge/diameter size of needle matter. I was looking at buying a Dr. Pen and couldn't find a what size the needles were for A6 pen. They do mention that the M8 and A6S pens have a 0.18mm/34gauge needles though.
Hey, what’s up?
Please, help me!
What is your suggestion to do microneedling sessions in areas of thin hair using a Dermaroller:
- 1.5mm 192 needles?
- 1.5mm 540 needles?
- another option?
Tks!!!! 🇧🇷
i recommend 1.5mm 192 needles. the 540 has "needles" that are shaped like a triangle and will cause more trauma.

What happens if you do microneedling on your scalp and use rogaine foam on the same day of treatment?
The rogaine might go systemic. So you're basically feeding your whole body rogaine instead of only your scalp.

Hey do you know if minoxidil is toxic for cats? I've read cases where tiny amounts on a pillow killed cats, but also saw a study where they used minox on a cat with a bald patch and it regrew its hair lol. Please let me know, that's the only reason i havent started minox yet!

Also I’m considering to use onion juice after micro needling and and twice a day - because my year experience with onion juice -
It thickened my existing hair - and it stopped the hair falling about 70% regrew 25% for my thinning hair. It’s like a glue effect it holds the strands so they don’t break - just wanted to know if there is anything else I can use that you can recommend ?
Do you use rosemary oil solely or you mix it with something?

Don't listen to hairloss youtubers, they wont help you at all, and bleeding will cause irreversable samage to your skin (bad skin = no hair anyways, so yeah dont listen to this guy when he says make your scalp bleed).
