It's important to note that tretinoin can be very harmful (carcinogenic) when exposed to direct sunlight. Never use tretinoin as a part of your morning routine only before bed.
This is why you should also use a 50+SPF sunblock when outside during the day, when using tretinoin, which may cause the skin to be more sensitive to sunlight.

Minoxidil alone never irritated my skin and always worked well for me. I have sensitive skin and when I used tretinoin for acne it also made my face more pink as well so I stopped. People who apply tretinoin to their face are often recommended to use sunscreen every day because tretinoin can make the skin more sensitive to the sun. When tretinoin is used on the scalp to address receding hairlines, it's likely that the scalp becomes more vulnerable to sunburn. This increased sensitivity to the sun may lead to a higher risk of skin cancer. - just my guesswork...

Im using tret and minox on my beard also i do dermarolling twice a week, do u suggest wait .24 hours after rolling before i apply minox again on beard or apply immediately after rolling?
It depends on what length the needles are for your derma roller. 1mm and 1.5mm you should wait 24 hours. But if you’re using a .25, .50, or a .75 derma roller than you can apply minoxidil after rolling.
for me personally micro needling + minoxidil caused side effects bc I didn't wait the full 24 hours and sometimes even applied minox right after. it was very effective though. especially in the temples. however I am excited to try out tretinoin.
I don't think it's better than minoxidil, especially for beard growth, since some of the compounds on these things actually have natural topical DHT blockers, and beard actually needs DHT to develop. Minoxidil is very effective to develop a beard though, i had no beard at all and after 6 months i now have a full beard, and i've seen many people who achieved the same, it's actually much easier to grow your beard with minoxidil than to grow your hair.

Does using minoxidil with tretinoin diminish the effectiveness of tretinoin for its intended purpose? I was hoping that I could work on both my acne and scars, while also growing more facial hair. Is there any research that touches base on this?
I would say yes since it exactly the same thing people who get a perscription for acne use. I guess the only thing would be the difference in would be dosages for applying it on the scalp vs applying it for acne. But haven't done enough research on that yet.

I thought this is teaching how to use micro needling but I still dunno how
can I apply first the minoxidil and then the tretinoin ??
Tretinoin increases the minoxidil absorption so tret first
Tretinoin (vitamin a derivative) for skin spots and wrinkles. Micro needling dermabrasion tape? Derma stamp
I got a gel version not the cream version, will it work the same?
It will. Gel usually is a stronger concentration tho so use less of it
Im using tret and minox on my beard also i do dermarolling twice a week, do u suggest wait .24 hours after rolling before i apply minox again on beard or apply immediately after rolling?
It depends on what length the needles are for your derma roller. 1mm and 1.5mm you should wait 24 hours. But if you’re using a .25, .50, or a .75 derma roller than you can apply minoxidil after rolling.
How often should you apply tretenoin and minoxidil? Twice a day? Once?
once is enough, usually evening
Hi. Do you think microneedling can help to regrow hair or improve scars in the donor area? Need advise please.
Is there no point using tretanoin of you are taking oral minoxidil?
prob not since it's not being applied topically and rather metabolized by the liver
You can use tretinoin even before peptide based hair serum, not just with minoxidil, my dermatologist suggested me to do so
After Microneedling & Tretinoin, instead of Topical Minoxidil can i apply The Ordinary Multi-Peptide serum?
How many days a week r u doing this? Or are you just doing it after microneedling
Where did you guys get your tretenoin ?
How many times a week?
for me personally micro needling + minoxidil caused side effects bc I didn't wait the full 24 hours and sometimes even applied minox right after. it was very effective though. especially in the temples. however I am excited to try out tretinoin.
What side effects did it cause applying minoxidil right after micro needling ?
@@KingKenny. chest pain (used 1mm roller)
@@maurice1003 thanks for the reply m8
What if u take oral minoxidil? Is it still necessary to use topical?
No
Not necessary but many take both together
Do you think it'll work with a retinoid like adapalene instead of tretinoin?
Can you give a review about REDENSYL, CAPIXYL, PROCAPIL AND BAICAPIL
or for short RCP. Is it better than minoxidol??? For beard growth
I have started using redensyl for about 3 months with minoxidil ans microneedling .. i hope he does a review on this too
I don't think it's better than minoxidil, especially for beard growth, since some of the compounds on these things actually have natural topical DHT blockers, and beard actually needs DHT to develop. Minoxidil is very effective to develop a beard though, i had no beard at all and after 6 months i now have a full beard, and i've seen many people who achieved the same, it's actually much easier to grow your beard with minoxidil than to grow your hair.
I use both RCP and minoxidil now for best results, one at day another night
Do you happen to have any videos or plan to do a video discussing finasteride sheds? I think some of us under the 1 year mark could use some reassurance or explanation as to why it happens? As always, thank you for your hard work
What about valporic acid and standalore with mix of minoxidil in one bottle?
That will be more effective for hair regrowth

What would u say to the people claiming tretinoin actually caused hair loss. Dermatologists seem to claim this is an actual side effect
It lacks scientific data that it can cause hair loss
If oral can cause hairloss but if topical hair growth
Can I use minox with tretinoin for beard growth > ?
Yes
Is it possible if I use tretinoin after using the minoxidil instead?
No you want to use it before
Tretinoin with ru58841v?
Can you only get Trentinoin by prescription or over the counter ?
Prescription
My concern with dermarolling + tretinoin would be systemic absorption of tretinoin causing vitamin A toxicity
What are you using?
People use retin a on their face everynight for years straight
@@pullmyniblets low IQ. Do they apply it over open wounds?
@@Samfrancis0000 why would you be applying it to an open wound..If you microneedle you don't put minoxidil + retin a on straight after you have to wait 24 hours
@@pullmyniblets booya
just curious - why do you only sell 1.5mm derma rollers? isn't that on the dangerous side?
I think that's the recommended length you should use. Doesn't hurt that much at that length either. Anything smaller isn't really penetrating enough.
@@DaVinciXw There's only a few studies on the best needle length and it's quite inconclusive still, but the general advice is to use a 1-1.5mm needle.
You can look into the Derma stamp or dr pen on my website if you want to adjust the needle length
@@DaVinciXw There is no consensus about that. The risk of scarring increases with higher depth, the amount of induced inflammation is also higher. One study showed that .6mm is even more efficient than 1.2mm.
@@DaVinciXw Current understanding is definately not as black-and-white and you make it out to be. 1.5 can potentially cause scarring on severely affected and bald areas, because scalp skin thickness is much lower there. Which thinking about it maybe doesn't make that much of a difference because the follicles are so far gone lol. Except maybe for creating damage for future transplant reciever areas?
Where can I get some?
Is it okay to use 32 pin ?
Great video, thanks for doing a video on this, much appreciated!
Glad it was helpful!
Can I use over the counter retinol?
yap but it's not as strong
Can you use diffen gel instead of trendnoil.?
Yup
Hey no as research talks about tretinoin, not other retinoid forms which need conversions, except granactive retinoid which needs no conversion and can be used
Would topical tretinoin work to enhance oral minoxidil?
No.
But this Vitamin A derivative is not available in the UK.
Of course not. United Cuckdom bans everything useful
Hello

What will i say to him?
I need tret to enhance minoxidil to get thick hair to get girls?
If I apply minoxidil twice I day, do I also apply tretinion Twice a day too?
That would dry tf out of your head
Once
Does using minoxidil with tretinoin diminish the effectiveness of tretinoin for its intended purpose? I was hoping that I could work on both my acne and scars, while also growing more facial hair. Is there any research that touches base on this?
I would say yes since it exactly the same thing people who get a perscription for acne use. I guess the only thing would be the difference in would be dosages for applying it on the scalp vs applying it for acne. But haven't done enough research on that yet.
