    I think the derma pen also should win another category and that is its ability to cover hard to reach areas of the face like near the nose or around the eyes. Since the roller has a handle and is a large cylinder, it's harder to get it to fit in tight r irregular spaces that a needle pen easily fits.

    Missed speed and area, the derma roller is going to cover more area quicker than a derma pen will, so you could say its more convenient also. Youll also get better coverage with a roller because itll be difficult to place the pen in the right spots

    Just one thing about the scaring on the v shaped form. Well as a doctor i know skin has elasticity so even if the derma roller enters the skin, gets draged a few millimeters it will leave a small semi circular scar. As we have to take into account of skin elasticity

    I think it's not very safe to advise people on reusing dermapen cartridges. I'm a tattooist and I work with machines and cartridges similar to your pen. The cartridges come in sterilized individual packages and should be disposed of after use, as they can end up doing more epidermal damage than intended and cause infections.

    I've been using raw honey dissolved in water and I've seen good results. Except it seems like it will take longer than using finesteride but I think its worth the longer wait. Honey is also good for healing wounds and is a good antibacterial agent. It provides nourishment for your hair so you are conditioning the hair too.I apply right after I have finished my microneedling.

    • @tylerburk3313
      @tylerburk3313 2 года назад +3

      Honey will do nothing to inhibit dht. You may be physically thickening you hair or perhaps even causing some growth (though not nearly as much as with something like minoxidil). But you won’t be doing anything to stop the androgenic miniaturization process of your hair follicles. That is what finasteride does. In addition, finasteride won’t cause very significant regrowth of hair, but can fully halt the hair loss process. That’s why the common advice is to stack dht inhibitors, and hair growth stimulants. Also topical a topical anti-androgen shampoo is proven to help too. Ketaconazole shampoo to be specific.

    Hey Matt, since you are using the Derma pen, have you tried using it on your donor region on the FUE scars to see if it could stimulate hair growth through them?
    I don’t see why it couldn’t help grow new hair in the FUE scars since micro-needling can grow even fine hair even on a slick bald head but I’m wondering if you have tried it there. Thanks.

    • @letsgethair
      @letsgethair  5 лет назад +4

      hey Vic, good question. It is possible but be aware, your donor will never look as dense as before the HT since the hair has been extrACTED from your donor. It can actually help heal the tiny scars after the FUE as it stimulates the collagen production in your skin as well but I feel like derma roller and derma pen only help make your thinning hair thicker. Since the donor hairs isn´t really thinking because of androgenic alopecia I don´t think derma pen or roller is going to help with it. You can only make the hair grow thicker in your donor if it is the hair which has been temporarily affected by shock loss.

    • @victurner4057

      MATTDOMINANCE thanks for your answer, Matt.
      Although, I’ve read some of the work that Follica is doing with their wounding trials to regrow or even grow new hairs, it seems similar to microneedling and if I am correct their studies show that wounding the skin stimulates collagen production as well as hair stem cells that has lead to new hairs forming and growing, so I’m thinking that if wounding/microneedling with a deep enough needle (1.5-2.5mm) that doing the same in FUE donor scar skin could produce new stem cells for new follicles, not so much to create more donor hair but to better naturally camouflage an FUE donor extraction harvest area rather than having to do SMP, but that’s just my theory, hopefully Follica comes out with a media blitz next year finally showing off their work and results.

    So I can't wait to MICRO INJURE my balding head. I notice that this guy got a hair transplant though. I don't see him micro injuring his own scalp. I'd like to see this device in action. I'd like to buy a device but I am still in the early stages of getting information together. I'm using rosemary oil right now and I have some pumpkin seed oil and capsules coming very soon. Every day I am getting more serious about not losing my hair. I'm changing my mind on trying oral minoxidil though. And I see if you use minoxidil too soon on a micro injured scalp minoxidil could enter your blood stream and cause heart arrithmea, high or low blood pressure, etc.
