Problem nobody seems to mention with a Dermapen is that you have poor control over how many wounds you create since the pen continues to pummel your scalp if you don't move it. The other problem is that as you slide it across your scalp you may be unnecessarily damaging your scalp as you drag while the needles are still in your scalp. The stamp is the only way to precisely control how many wounds you are making and ensure that the needles only pass directly in and out of your scalp without dragging.

For everyone asking and wondering...these manual derma pens and derma stamps can only be used about 4 or 5x ( once a week use, gotta replace it every month or so )
Soak the needle heads in 70% alcohol for 10 minutes before and after use. Wash hair with shampoo before microneedling. You CAN use hair growth serum after microneedling. Do not use minoxidil until 12 to 24 hours has passed from microneedling your scalp. It can go systemic in your blood if you use topical min directly after you microneedle which is not what you are using topical min for.

I do it every 1-2 weeks, if it caused scarring then no one would be doing it. People literally butcher their scalp and still see results. I'm on finasteride and minoxidil and I spent like almost half an hour microneedling my *entire* scalp and beard using Dr Pen's A6 Ultima on 2mm. Not gonna lie but I'm quite skeptical but hopefully it will pay off eventually. Any regrowth is welcome 😁

If you are microneedling for half an hour then you are destroying your scalp. Only do microneedling once a week and duration should not exceed more than 5-10 minutes max.

@@kawan5851 I'm not kidding, it's the OCD nature of me taking over and I just have to go over the same spots lots of times, because I'm worried that I didn't go over a certain spot good enough and the I could potentially miss "an entire week's worth of microneedling gains".
Keep in mind that I go over the entire scalp and beard. How long should *just* the scalp (but entire scalp including sides and back) take in general? It seems most people say it's anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes altogether.

Titanium is a metal while stainless steel is a metal alloy. Take that how you will but as long as it’s going into the scalp and the needles are clean, I don’t see why it would make much of a difference.
