Biz is my mentor. And he told me this story in march of 2020. When he told me it blew my mind 🤯 I couldn’t believe it. He laughed and laughed that I didn’t know this tidbit. He used to make me listen to “nobody beats the biz” and he would break down each lyric and tell me how it was one of hip hops best songs. He would also tell me how his first album should but didn’t get the proper respect it should. If I’m not mistaken he had like 6/7 singles off it. Thank you Kenny! I laughed so hard during the first two stories because I know exactly what you meant “I’m biz” 😂😂😂 may he rest in peace. He really was the best person I’ve ever met. 🕊️🙏🏽
Yes! Biz was a genuine soul and an unforgettable person. Fun times!
You from the DC area? I grew up in PG. your name sounds real familiar. I used to see Biz in front of Spencers at laurel mall back in the day. Lol just chillin out front
biź "Was a natural comedian. I met him quite a few times, and kenny P, back in the same time.period

Damn i miss DJ Scott La Rock.... I just can imagine how far BDP Would have been had he lived... They were already huge when he passed... Rest in peace Scott you are sorely missed brother!!!
That books on my Christmas list. Another cool episode yo!
Kenny, I'm from the UK, and got into HipHop in 79, and in 82-86 I was a BBoy over here.
I don't know if you read comments, but I just wanted to say thank you, I absolutely love these stories from BITD, and always loved US HipHop from all area's.
Big love from the UK Kenny.
You was a Blow Boy in the UK. That's too much information.
Thank you!!! For real.
You Ain't Never Been to a Party if You Haven't Experienced a Biz Markie Party with him behind them Turntables.
Rest In Peace BIZ.🎤
BDP has always been one of my favorite groups. But has always been shrouded in mystery. Could you in a future vid define the roles of some of the ancillary members of BDP. Such as McBoo, RoboCop Boys, I.C.U. and Manager Moe, et al.
I agree I would love to see this has well
Same here.
Agreed
Hmmm.....It appears that quite a few people would like to see this. I will do a break down next week.
@@djkennyparker DOPE!!!
Great story, may Biz Markie RIP 🙏 😢 🎤🎼🎵🎧
Wow 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. Giv thanks Kenny Parker.. R.i.p Biz R.i.p Scott La Rock
💯🖤✊🏾 Thanks for sharing your story !! You're doing a great job.
REST IN POWER BIZ MARKIE 🖤🙏🏾
Wow man, I love hearing these untold stories that clearly shaped and molded hip hop.
It’s amazing how I think about some of the greatest songs probably wouldn’t have never been made if it wasn’t inspired by an incident.
Just think of some of the great music we got and now knowing how and why. I love it. When I was home in Philly years ago I was outside of a record store talking to Guru and Ced Gee and got a few good unknown stories then too.
Keep it going, by the way I don’t think you get enough credit for how dope the beats on Heather B first album was. You are definitely one of the illest with the beats. Other than sex and violence speak on some other outside of BDP projects you did?
Definitely more stories. I think these old stories is what we need to keep hip hop respected in it’s truest form it was created to be.
We gotta get it back. RIP BIZ.
I’m about to bang that whole album right now.
Thank you Kenny Parker for starting this channel and sharing your invaluable stories with us. I was 12 in 1988 and the Juice Crew and BDP albums were a special part of my childhood. Thank you!
R.I.P. Biz Markie and Scott LA Rock
This only proves my point about old school and early golden era artists...as competitive as they were, many were friends and competed on wax but kept there friendships to this day. Many were also very approachable on the streets. I would see BIZ in BK in ALBEE SQUARE MALL or at a club or even on The DEUCE! R.I.P.-Thanks Kenny!
Nobody Beats the Biz as an answer to You Can't Win makes total sense. Biz is saying, of course I can...Nobody Beats Me! Nice....Didn't even need to mention who he was talking about.
Read that book in like 4 days!! Fiyaaaa, and keep these story going on yooo, I missed all of that cause I wasn't born!! Such a unique time in history. If you stop I call Bad boys school
LOL!
This was a dope history lesson thank you bro
Hello Kenny, love these videos. I've always wondered why BDP left off certain members of the Juice Crew, so thanks for the education. By the way, I saw the Juice Crew All-Stars tour in Nottingham in 1988, and people were going berserk over Roxanne Shante until she did Have A Nice Day, and the boos when she dropped the final verse about BDP absolutely rang out...
Scott knew that wasn't touching "Nobody beats the Biz." When i hear or see the old school hip-hop, I always feel as if i lost a old friend. Sure, I have most of that music in my collection, but, you just cant bring back those times We all are very appreciative of the Gems you've dropped, great stories. The last time i saw Biz he was at a record store in Maryland, Crazy how time flies, that was in late 80's early 90's.
Reading your book Kenny.. I know you have another book in you.. . Cant wait to hear about studio sessions and being on tour doing shows.
You can't win is a classic. Dope record.
I LOVE YOU FOR THAT COMMENT, BRO...
......AKIEM THE RHYTHMMAKER SIGNING OFF
@akiemirish3417 yo bro! Did the brothers have any unreleased stuff or did any of you make records after the brothers stuff on b-boy records?
Thank you again DJ Kenny Parker! I'm on a military base in the middle east at 2am dying laughing to your story about you and Biz in Patterson. I'm 57 from the LES and remember and relate to so much of what you talk about. I read and loved the book! It took me back to my own childhood as well. Please keep the stories coming and consider bringing on some famous and not-so-famous guests to interview. BTW, has anyone ever confused you as KRS?
Loved this tale! Can’t ever get enough of the Legendary Biz emaza emaza A R
Man you learn something new everyday. I never knew this…AMAZING story! Thanks for sharing!
These are my bedtime stories.

Reading your book….you and your brother really went through some shit growing up…especially your step father…I’m glad your moms finally gave that dude the boot…I’ve only gotten to the year 1976 so far in the book..so I haven’t got to the part about Biz…
Story Time with Kenny Parker has become my fav viewing on RUclips. Thanks for transporting me to NYC during a time in music I knew of and loved from afar but never really knew before your stories.
I have both the Brothers 12"'s they released in my vinyl collection and no body beats. Never did i know you can't win and no body was diss records LOL! Thanks Dj Kenny Parker for this info. If i hadn't heard you say i STILL would be none the wiser.

Gil 180 BX I love hip hop music but old hip hop music and I keep telling everyone when I really want to hear hip-hop I only listen to KRS ONE because he is a real MC the best 100% 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷💯😎😎😎👍🏼
Absolutely 😮
I'm a Jersey Boy and I always say Paterson is the Bronx and Newark is Brooklyn 😁
What about Jersey city?.
That Nobody Beats Da Biz went so hard!! 🔥🔥
Every time I saw BIZ in MD ( and it was frequently) in the supermarket and target) it was evident that he did not want to interact with anyone and I respected his space.
Kenny, if you’re looking at these comments, there was a story back in time about a listening party, that everyone attended, and this duo, super lover, Cee and Casanova Rud was at the listening party, and were rude to some of the guests (including a certain young lady that Biz personally invited) Biz got up to the podium to thank everyone who attended the listening party, and acknowledged some of the guest in attendance, and purposely avoided saying the name of those two guys, thus getting them quite agitated
WOW!!! Thank you for sharing this!!! I had absolutely no idea that song existed, and that NBTB was a response!!! Such a classic record. That he was getting back at that "You Cant Win" record makes it even doper! Biz was my neighbor in High School! I lived in Laurel MD, and he was a 5 minute walk away from me. He listened to my albums I used to drop in High School and he would always tell me my music was dope and to keep going. GOD BLESS BIZ!!!!!!
I would see him in Bowie every now and then he's a really tall guy.
RIP to the B-I-Z, M-A-R-K-I-E!!!!!!!!
Shout out to Kenny Parker, been a fan since God knows when.... I had no idea that 'nobody beats the Biz' was an answer record!!! I love hearing the back stories of the early Hip Hop days...also brings back a lot of memories!!!
Great job! Thanks for taking us back!
I had no idea there was a dis record...
Thank you for this channel ❤️ I miss the Bronx when my mom's moved us to the South and a little later you all and the hip hop scene was taking off man only if you can imagine how home sick I was till this day after 50 years I am hip hop I feel like bdp would of been my crue,BDP 4LIFE.
The 80 early 90 best real music was made. The music that meant something and had real messages behind it..
I think everyone knew Biz was funny;)
Thanks for dropping these consistent behind the scenes gems!!! Definitely needed for us Hip Hop enthusiasts.
Such a positive spirit. Biz really made music fun, and fun music.
Biz was the most kind hearted person I have ever met. When we had him in BET Teen Summit, he started cracking jokes…making us laugh. He’s was my mentor during my BET Days and being at the Spy Lounge in DC. Miss my Big Bro Biz. R.I.P. GREAT STORY BIG BRO.
RIP BIZ MARKIE RIP DJ SCOTT LA ROCK...HE'S IN HERE
No BDP and Biz Collabs?
I remember that song. LADY B played it here in PHILLY!!
Yes maaan big up from london uk
Wow that's crazy. Now I got to look up this song "you can't win".. This is dope!
The "NOBODY BEATS THE BIZ" revelation was the kicker for me!! Biz was unproblematic. Very few wanted to bring it to him. So that really caught me right there.
Great walk through time with the Amazing recollection of the BDP legend Kenny Parker! Respect!
Another very interesting story! WOW, never knew that…🤔
Peace to Scott and Biz…😞
Beautiful stories. People bug out when I mention that Biz Markie is one of my favorite rappers of all time. Definitely my top 5 solo artists. He was a huge part of my childhood teens. An absolute talent.

EVERY SINGLE TIME the Bridge beat comes on, even for just a second, my dome starts nodding without my permission.
Same thing with those Biz beats. I’m enjoying these stories.
Nobody beats the biz was a hell of an answer to any record
I love these golden Era stories! Keep it coming
Man, i'm loving these so much, true amazing history from the source! I had no idea Nobody Beats the BIz was an answer to a diss! Man, Biz is a legend, so great you were friends, seeing him in those old vids before he put out a record just entertaining tons of people in appartment lobbies and on the streets shows how magnetic he was.
On another note as a dj i'm curious, what mixer you are rocking behind you, Kenny? I don't recognise it.
Those stories are amazing keep them coming.i been listening to old school rap music since 1984.legendary times.queens new york represent.word up son
