I'm 50 this year and I've been listening to Frank since I was 15/16 and this is easily one of my favourite things he's ever done. The tone is just out of this world. So rich and velvety. So fluid and sophisticated. I can't stop listening to it. I actually once owned a prototype of Frank's green Ibanez FGM100 that I got of the nice people at Hoshino in Hollywood Hills. Unfortunately, I had to sell it about 20+ years ago. Still blowing me away and still inspiring me all these years later. Awesome work Frank. 👍🏼🎸
It was the Racing Green colour. I was told by the A&R guy (Rob Nishida) that Frank had said that it was too dark, as it almost looked black. The one that was released was much more vibrant green and was a few shades lighter and looked a lot better than the prototype. The band I was in at the time had an endorsement deal with Ibanez and we would visit the Hoshino Ibanez factory on tour, to have our guitars looked over and I needed a backup guitar at the time and they kindly sorted me out. 👍🏼🎸

This sounds great Frank. I am blown away by guitar playing still after all, the years of seeing you in Nova Scotia. All those years back around I don't know is 89 or something like that. Awesome! I've lost count how many times I listened to Little Charmer. I'd play along to the Chopbuilder VHS twice a day and it took me about 3 years to be able to play through the whole tape. Years later I bought the DVD and up to this day I still play it all the way though a few times per year! Thanks for all you've done for the Guitar Mr. Gambale!
