Initially the first aid wouldn't work along with the mount button. I did the terminal thing but it came up with a message saying that it timed out. HOWEVER the first aid tool then fixed the problem straight after. THANKS NOUREDDIN!

Deleted my previous comment saying, after I typed the Diskutil eject way, it didn't do anything but stayed blank. After some waiting, it ended up saying "Ejected"... So It's all good now. Thank you truly for this help!

This was helpful, the only way I could get my HD to work is to eject it through the Terminal as in the video then it mounted the next time I connected it. Thanks for sharing the learnings

The seagate storage device is showing up in disk utility… won’t erase or mount on the Home Screen … did the terminal got a ejected message but still won’t show up even after a restart, and advice? I know the Seagate doesn’t work with a Mac unless you reformat it but it won’t let me… is it done?
hi, i followed your step, about diskutil eject disk2, after that i turned off my macbook, and turned it on, when i plugged back my harddrive, now it doesnt even see it anymore, i did the diskutil list, even the the external hard drive is physical connected, it doesnt register it, can you help me?
Problem persisted for me. However, tried the following and it worked for me. Replace the x with the disk number/name; in terminal enter: diskutil eject /dev/diskx I then unplugged, plugged back in and it showed up. If it doesn't, try mount it and it could work.
Hi appreciate your helping video however If I have the problem with the undetectable bootcamp drive, do you know how to fix it? I can’t switch to Windows when my mac is start up by hold Option button or even disk utility is showing BOOTCAMP doesn’t mount.

I didnt have to reconenct wires.. After I completed the eject command and the system took a few minutes and it was on my desktop again.
