CCI makes the best .22lr ammunition in my opinion, Federal is up there as well! Great family fun! I had a friend many years ago, had an intruder enter his house. All that he had was a 10/22, with the standard 10 round magazine, he shot him in the legs a few times, but he kept coming. So he emptied the rest of the cartridges in his chest, he then collapsed and died. So yes, a 22lr will definitely kill you, with good shot placement. Good video, the audio was just fine!👍👍

Federal and CCI are owned by the same people, the only difference is what factory the ammo comes out of. American Eagle is also a Federal subsidiary.

Freedom First yes a .22 can definitely be a deadly round. I’ve seen several dead people from them with various rifle and pistols. Once had a 63 year old man shot in the side of his arm and it left a zipper looking mark half way across his chest he was doa, I’ve been working a busy metro area as a paramedic now 19 years and all calibers are deadly.

The Suppressor at 960 ft/s just means it's subsonic or less that 1050 ft/s and would be quieter due to not breaking the sound barrier. Great test and yeah try this the Aguila .22 lr Supermaxium = 192 Energy Foot Pounds 30gr 1700 ft/s. Amazingly it ties in Energy Foot Pounds with Remington UMC FMJ 380 ACP L380APA = 192 Energy Foot Pounds 95gr 955 ft/s. Based on my findings. Keep the great videos coming.

Thanks for the test! There must be something about that gel that masks the performance of the hollow points. I've shot hundreds of Velocitors, out of the exact same type of 10/22 Carbine, on all kinds of meaty targets and the results have been devastating! Cheers!

The Taurus TX22 is a great 22lr pistol. What most people don't understand about those that carry 22lr for self defense is that those people are not going to shoot a threat once or twice and stop, there going to mag dump that threat. When your talking about the TX22, taking 16-17 rounds of anything means your probably not getting back up. Plus there are so many good defensive 22lr rounds these days it's much different then it was 30-40 years ago when there was only a couple different round and only a couple of guns that used them. Now even the guns themselves are getting to be a much better quality.

Its true they are a truly vicious round especially for a .22. I use plain old cci standards for rabbits because they are quiet enough and the price is right. While I agree that 22 LR is fun & cheap to shoot, I prefer shooting a bolt action & a revolver chambered in 22 Magnum. I shoot 22 LR too, and there’s some really good premium ammo out there. Just hard to beat the 22 Magnum for slightly increased performance. I also attribute my choice to this, when wearing hearing protection, it makes the 22 LR seem so anemic. Not that the perceived power changes anything, but the 22 Magnum does have an actual jacketed copper bullet & increased velocity.

It's interesting how the you tube films work. You say the .22 aint deadly, yet I saw some old boys shoot the bullets through 10 sheets of dry wall and exit, and another dude shoot some .22 through a thick chunk of wood. Im not half wondering if some of those bullets are charged up and others are weak plinking bullets. Cornfusing to me. .22's are fun and cheap ammo to use at the range for a day of shooting in my belief. I have a Sig 5-55 which is dead on military accurate and I can tell the difference between brands and how the bullet is loaded. Some of those puppies have a cool little kick back, while others are predictable. Cool match up, but I forgot which bullets have a kick back. LOL! All bullets are accurate in my gun.

I think you are correct Aguila does make one that goes 1,700fps I think it’s the SuperMaximum.

Great video. I would like to see a comparison between the Remington Yellow Jacket, and CCI Stinger. Growing up in North Florida , hunting squirrels and rabbits there was always a debate on which one was the best.

RWS and Lapua make the best 22lr ammo. CCI ist well known, but lightyears away accuracywise... Greetings from Germany ;-)

Repeat this same ammo test with a 22 pistol. Maybe the Ruger LCP II or a Walther P22. 😊

I introduced my niece to shooting using the Walther P22 with CCI Mini-Mags. Standard velocity ammunition doesn't reliably cycle that pistol and I wanted a good impression. It would have been fun if you could have done a mag dump into the gel at the end.

Fudmottin Thats weird you say that bc i contemplated doing exactly that after I was done. Decided not to because i wanted to get the bullets out in good shape. I will next time. Pistol vid
