I absolutely love how bass forward Maiden is. Harris is the master of that galloping style. It really drives the rest of the music forward, like any good bass should.
Iron Maiden is just so BIG band. So many excellent songs and u just cant pick 1 or few the best. Keep on digging Iron Maiden. And you wont be disappointed.
Yeah they did. No Prayer for the Dying was rather bad. Fear of the Dark wasn't that much better. Virtual XI was a good prelude to the progressive elements of Brave New World, but ultimately was a bottoming out for the band.
Glad you enjoyed this one Inna. Its a staple in the Iron Maiden discography. Just use the songs in my recommendation list I left you in Fear of the Dark react and you can't go wrong. Next ones I'd recommend - Phantom of the Opera (Live at the Rainbow 1980 - with first singer Paul DiAnno, than Rime of the Ancient Mariner Flight 666

Great job with your reaction and thoughts on Hallowed Be Thy Name from Iron Maiden this is my favorite tracks from them and hoping it's also one of yours.
LOVE HOW MORE AND MORE PEOPLE KEEP PRAISING THIS MASTERPIECE FROM IRON MAIDEN, I WISH SHE AND MANY OTHERS ALSO REACTED TO THE LIVE PERFORMANCE OF IRON MAIDEN IN 2011 IN CHILE, THAT CONCERT WAS 🔥🔥🔥 AND DANCE OF DEATH SPECIALLY WAS AMAZING!!!
If you're into guitar checkout Randy Rhodes with Ozzy on "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Mad Man". Randy died in 1982 after only those two albums but he continues to influence guitar players to this day.
If you like twin guitars, you really need to check out Lovebites. They play the best heavy metal and have the two best guitarists on the planet IMO. And they are all women!
Over 4 decades later and they still ROCK! Iron Maiden influences to this day, they really brought a standard to the genre and it was followed by so many. 🤘 They have catchy riffs, solid bass, and drums always fit. Then Bruce sings... Please do Dance of Death live next, see Bruce be a story-teller.
Threre's no age to start playing music ! I started guitar at first Covid lockdown, at 42! And I enjoy like a kid 🤘 Maybe after a few years, people will react on RUclips at Inna's concert 😄
Maiden is one of the greatest rock bands ever because of the way their songs tell such good stories. And a lot of them give you a history lesson, also accurately.
One of the greatest live sounding energy bands ever average age Bruce singer 64 Niko drummer 70 rest in middle They never got into drugs and alcohol they play soccer sword play as fencing why such good shape at this age
They do drink occasionally, they even have their own brand of ales (rather nice ales at that), but they’ve not let it become excessive (apart from Paul Di’Anno). But yes, they have kept active and fit, and have always been doing something. Their longest break in the 47 years since formation was during Covid, so not even by choice.
It is a must to watch "Iron Maiden - Dance Of Death - En Vivo!", the "En Vivo" version, Bruce Dinckson is mature and gives a fabulous acting and singing presentation
It's never too late to learn guitar. I'm 53 and just starting to learn bass. I know I'll never be as good as these bands, but I still feel like I can enjoy making a (approximate) noise with them! lol You can do it! 🤘❤❤🤘
I think Bruce held that first long note about 13 seconds. Hes amazing. Just saw them here in Southern California in September. Still amazing ! And I'm Italian, my daughter is first generation American- her Dad was born in Naples as was my grandparents 5:26 ❤🤘
Hi Inna so glad you are enjoying your musical journey with Iron Maiden and in my humble opinion they are the greatest band ever to exist, and I've lost count the amount of times I've seen them since discovering them back in the mid 80s as a teenager and I've been a fan ever since, as for songs Stranger in a strange land official music vid is good, Wasted Years from Maiden in England DVD 1989 in fact any song from that DVD is worth reacting to, Rime of the Mariner from the Live after Death DVD 1985, Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter live at Donington Park DVD 1993, and if you want to check out their first singer Paul Di'Anno give Remember Tomorrow and Phantom of the Opera a listen from the 1981 Live at the Rainbow DVD, Also if you want to buy an electric guitar go for it I did when I was 14 and been playing ever since, it's an amazing instrument and a lot of fun to play and yes it's because of Adrian Smith and Dave Murray guitarists with Iron Maiden that decided to learn to play all those years ago, and yes I've been influenced by other players but they were the primary reason for buying my first guitar.
Iron maidens songs are about events that happened & well known poems & stories, for example Run for the hills is the genocide of the red Indians, the Ancient Mariner a Poem by Samual Taylor Coleridge,Look to the Skies the R101 Airship crash,Chefs Kiss is bsed on the book of the same name & about "al bacio" ect.
Hey! I just wanted to comment that if you really want to get to the apex of what a guitar can produce when played by the right musician, you should totally check out "the" Eddie van Halen solo. 10+ minutes of one of the greatest making his guitar sing, weep, scream and generally move the entire audience. Possibly while drunk, not sure about that bit. Hope you enjoy!
To say what your saying in the 80's no one believed it...its good to see that the truth tends to itself...Up The Irons....thanks for your unbiased opinion some of us have been saying for decades.
Just my reaction to something you said about learning to play the guitar...go for it asap. In two weeks time you will wonder why you never tried it sooner. As you improve so shall many aspects of your life begin to develop and unblock avenues you may have never even thought to travel
09:31 long enough... You know that 25 years ago started radios make song long sandrats . first was 6 minutes not more then after 4 years they cut that time 5 minutes and now is max 4 minutes . Why ? . Because they need make money with comerrcial clips / announcements.
When Bruce Dickinson pointed to his this ear he needs to sound engineer to turn up his earpiece so he could hear himself over the increments or vice versa ./ During the instruments Bruce Dickinson was acting out what to band was playing.
anyone can learn to play to be as good as Steve and Jan takes practice / its great to see a beautifullyoung lady get carried away by the sound of the band
There are a TON of really really good Maiden songs to react to and listen to... but your next Maiden song I recommend "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" Other favorites from this band are; - The Clansman - Wasted years - Run to the Hills - 2 minutes to midnight - Powerslave - Aces High - The Trooper plus many more...so take your pic...or do them ALL 😁
If you think you want to learn to play guitar, I strongly recommend you give it a try. It's a fun instrument. There's a ton of resources out there. On youtube alone, there's tons of info on getting started. You might love it.
Hold off on that one for a bit, they might be playing it live (FINALLY!) on this tour that’s about to start. So there may at last be a live version available 🤞🏻 It is epic, and it’s criminal they’ve never played it. Bruce has been teasing it a lot over the last year, it would be hugely disappointing if they don’t play it this year.
Some additional things... The vocalist is also a captain/pilot..fencer.. professor in music.. Dr. In history.. an author.. business man.. entrepreneur.. chairman of aviation..
I smiled at your comment about the sound of the guitars. The Number of the Beast (1982)album changed my life. I was 12 when it came out. In 2 dizzying weeks, I heard that album, the new Judas Priest album, Screaming For Vengeance (1982) and the new Scorpions album, Blackout (1982). That's exactly what I said. I want to learn how to make that sound...so I did 🤘
This song is the Ghost Love Score of the 1980s. And to think: Nobody had heard Bruce Dickinson, let alone Iron Maiden singing this song. Yet both the band and Bruce knocked it out of the park, as this song is about a man on Death Row, during his final day alive -- right before he is taken to the gallows to die. Hallowed Be Thy Name is his thoughts as he goes through the five stages of grief, finally ending with acceptance as he yells out at the end: "Hallowed be Thy Name!" And fun fact: The song actually speeds up to show the Prisoner's heartbeat speeding up as he approaches the gallows.
The band's lead singer is Bruce Dickinson. The band has had many planes, including a 737 jet, a 747 jet, and a 757 jet, all of which were piloted by Bruce. Bruce was the #6 best fencer in the UK at one point in time. In the 90s Bruce had cancer on the back of his tongue and he still is the band's lead singer, and records songs separate from the band with Adrian Smith, one of the band's 3 guitarists.
Excellent chair dancing I was dancing along with you in my chair too! Dickenson was born Aug 7, 1958.Dickenson has performed in the band from 1981to 1993 and from 1999 to present. He has a long range of operatic vocal style He also had a career as a commercial airline pilot for Astraeus Airlines. Hè captained Iron Maidens converted airplane called Ed Force One during their world tours, a Boeing 747!
Bruce Dickenson, the "Human Air Raid Siren"! I was 14 back in 1982 when this came out and my metal-head friends and I would challenge each other to see if we could hold, "running low", without taking a breath.
While I love all Iron Maiden songs, if you love guitar and enjoy them you must try Stevie Ray Vaughn - Texas Flood (Live). It is a bit of a different genre, being more blues than rock.
Bruce Dickinson is an incredible singer and front man. If you ever get the chance to see them live, take it! You won't be disappointed.
Go to see them live in July. Only the 2nd time now. Great shows. Still rocking.
The band's first lead singer, Paul Di'Anno was actually kicked out of the band for not having enough energy on stage.
Bruce is one of the greatest front men ever, especially of metal bands.
@@Prs722 it was more to do with his drink and drug use, it affected him on and off stage. The band made the decision for both the band’s sake and Paul’s sake, even if it didn’t seem like it at the time.
