I grew up listening to Iron Maiden. Bruce Dickinson's vocal range is amazing! They are considered one of the greatest metal bands of all time. Bruce is 64 years old and still has the lungs today! Bruce Dickinson used to be a pilot and even flew the band around on tours in a 747! Love your reactions and I can tell you are going to go far! Please try reacting to Hallowed Be Thy Name {Live} 2006.

1:27 I’ve seen Iron Maiden 8 times (making it 9 and 10 in the summer), and still I get chills being in the crowd when this song starts and we all sing the guitar melodies, there’s nothing else like it.
Iron Maiden were formed in London, England on 25th December 1975 by bassist and main songwriter Steve Harris. Their current line-up consists of:
    Steve Harris (Bass)
Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers (Guitars)
    Nicko McBrain (Drums)
    Bruce Dickinson (Vocals)
They have written and released 17 studio albums, multiple live albums, compilations, videos, live concert video/dvd/blu-rays, documentaries, and even some games. They also have their own brand of beers, with different flavours named after songs from their vast catalogue (the first of which is Trooper).
They have headline several major festivals, including a record 7 times at Donington Park (Monsters Of Rock/Download Festival), Wacken Open Air 3 times, and Rock in Rio 4 times (they also played at the very first Rock in Rio in 1985, but not as headliners, they were on second last before Queen).
For more Iron Maiden I recommend:
Hallowed Be Thy Name live either from the same Rock in Rio in 2001, or 1982 at Hammersmith (which is one of the very first performances of the song)
Rime Of The Ancient Mariner live from Flight 666
    Aces High
    The Trooper
    Wasted Years
Stranger In A Strange Land (this has one of the greatest guitar solos ever)
    The Writing On The Wall
    Blood Brothers
The Talisman live from En Vivo
Dance Of Death live from En Vivo
The Clansman live from Rock in Rio 2001
Sigh Of The Cross also from Rock in Rio 2001
Empire Of The Clouds (the longest song they’ve written at 18 minutes long)
… pretty much anything live is always a good idea, they pride themselves on their live performances and their stage production. Bruce Dickinson is very theatrical in his performances, very energetic, as are the rest of the band, even now in their 60s they put people half their age to shame with their energy.
Glad that you enjoyed your first taste of Maiden, there’s so much more depth in their songwriting, so keep going.

Great job from Wyoming in the USA. I first heard Iron Maiden in 1983. I went to a record store to get The Eagles greatest hits. See Iron Maiden Number of the Beast album covers. Bought it took it home and, got hooked for life. Now after over 35 years I'm a super fan. First concert I went to was Power Slave Tour 1985. Then Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son, on to last year making it my 20th. I play drums, bass, guitar all because of them. Steve Harris is the Founder, bassist, and writer. Met him shopping at a mall before the. Seventh son concert. My number one all time favorite. Bruce Dickinson the vocalist also is their pilot. He flies their 747 with all the members around the world on tour. Adrian Smith and Dave Murry guitarist have been with them since 1978. Genik Gears the other guitarist since early 90s. Always watch them live. Rime of the Ancient Mariner flight 666 live. Good place to start. Then down the Maiden hole.

I've been listening to Iron Maiden since 1982, at the age of 15. Up the Irons!
    Iron Maiden is:
Bruce Dickinson - Vocals Born: August 7, 1958 (age 64 years) Started with Iron Maiden in 1981, left in 1993 and rejoined in 1999 and present singer
Steve Harris - Bassist and Founder Born: March 12, 1956 (age 67 years), Started the band in 1975 and has never left
    Dave Murray - Guitarist Born: December 23, 1956 (age 65 years), 1976-1977, 1978- present
    Adrian Smith - Guitarist Born: February 27, 1957 (age 66 years), 1980-1990, 1999-present
    Janick Gers - Guiarist Born: January 27, 1957 (age 66 years), 1990 - present
    Nicko McBrain - Drums Born: June 5, 1952 (age 70 years), 1982 - present
The next songs I'd recommend when you get around to Iron Maiden again are:
Hallowed By Thy Name - Beast Over Hammersmith
Phantom of the Opera (Live at the Rainbow 1980 - with first singer Paul DiAnno
Rime of the Ancient Mariner Flight 666 DVD
    Alexander the Great w/lyrics
    Flight of Icarus (Official video)
The Clansman - (Rock In Rio 2001)
Dance Of Death - En Vivo!
as well as any of the ones listed below. Of course there are other songs but since this is my list, this is the ones I recommend
Highlight of songs and what they are about that I'd recommend are:
    From Iron Maiden album------
Phantom of the Opera - A must for live version - see above
Strange World (this one will be totally different Iron Maiden)
    From Killers album------
Murders in the Rue Morgue (Very loosely influenced by Edgar Allen Poe's short story, a story of a fugitive being sought for murder)
Genghis Khan (an instrumental - perfect for air drumming)
Innocent Exile (continues the theme of Murders in the Rue Morgue of an unjustly accused fugitive)
Killers (A journey into the twisted mind of a deranged killer)
Prodigal Son(about a repentant man reminiscent of the prodigal son parable found in Luke 15 of the bible)
Purgatory(lyrics of song read like a poem)
Drifter (focuses on the possibility of new beginnings)
From The Number of the Beast album ------
Invaders (It graphically depicts the violence and horror of a defense against a Viking invasion)
The Prisoner (based on the UK television series that ran briefly in the late 1960’s)
22 Acacia Avenue (The continuation of Charlotte the Harlot)
The Number of the Beast (Inspired by a dream Bassist Steve Harris had after watching the movie the Omen2)
Run to the Hills (about the European arrival in America told from the perspective of both the oppressed Cree and the invading white soldiers)
Hallowed be Thy Name (about a man who is about to be put to death and what he goes through)
    From Piece of Mind------
Where Eagles Dare (based on an Alistair Maclean novel, (1967), and film (1968) about a WWII rescue of an American general from a Nazi stronghold in the Bavarian Alps
Revelations (Starts with the Hymnal from Oh God of Earth and Alter, the next two verses on the Hindu philosophy, the third verse in Yoga a snake called Kundalini that lives at the base of your spinal cord, during meditation a spiritual entity is created symbolizing the transcendental union with God)
Flight of Icarus (loosely based on the ancient Greek myth of Icarus)
The Trooper (based on the Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava 1854,which took place during the Crimean War)
To Tame a Land (the song relays the story of Paul Atreides, Paul Muad'Dib, from the book Dune by Frank Herbert)
    From Powerslave------
Aces High (about aircraft dog fighting between the British and German fighter pilots of WWII)
2 Minutes to Midnight - About the Doomsday clock for the End of the World
Back in The Village (The continuation of the song The Prisoner)
Powerslave (about an arrogant pharaoh in his dying hours, he can't understand why he's about to die and fights it in vain)
Rime of the Ancient Mariner - (From the poem of the same name by Samuel Taylor Coleridge (story about about an ocean voyage)
    From Somewhere in Time-------
Wasted Years (A song about the admonition to appreciate the present and not to take things for granted)
The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner (based on a short story of Alan Sillitoe which was made into a 1962 film
Alexander the Great (About the story of Alexander the Great
From 7th Son of a 7th Son (a concept album)------
Infinite Dreams (Detailing someone who is tormented by paranormal dreams and nightmares)
The Evil That Men Do (Title taken from a quote in Shakespeare Julius Caesar but the song is unrelated)
The Clairvoyant (relates the reflections of the 7th Son of the 7th Son on his life and his powers)
    From Fear of the Dark------
Wasting Love (About the emptiness of relationships without love. Another Maiden ballad)
Fear of the Dark (About being afraid of the dark and the things in the dark that might be there - absolute a live performance for this one)
    From Brave New World------
The Wicker Man (about the apathy of our modern society and our egotistic disinterest of what is happening until something happens to us)
Ghost of the Navigator (The lyrics are a metaphor of life, with the ship sailing west towards the setting sun representing death)
Brave New World (Loosely based on the 1932 novel by Aldous Huxley)
Dream of Mirrors (Yet another song about reoccurring and maybe premonitory dreams)
Out of the Silent Planet (Supposedly inspired by the 1956 science -fiction film Forbidden Planet)
    From Dance of Death------
No More Lies (The lyrics deal with someone knows his time has come with the possibility of reincarnation)
Dance of Death (Orinally inspired by Ingmar Bergman's 1957 film The Seventh Seal - Another one to do as a live performance)
Paschendale (about the Battle of Passchendaele during WWI)
From A Matter of Life and Death------
Brighter than a Thousand Suns (About the dawn of the nuclear bomb age)
The Longest Day (about the WWII Normandy Invasion)
Out of the Shadows (About being born)

Hi InnaMusic just found your channel today and really enjoyed your reaction to the greatest band to ever exist in my opinion, I've been a fan ever since I heard Powerslave back in 1984 I've lost count how many times I've seen them over the years and it's always so much fun, also they have so many amazing songs it's hard to pick just a few but you may like the songs Powerslave, Rime of the Ancient Mariner a song is on based a poem written by Samuel Taylor Coleridge circa 1779, The Trooper, Aces High, Number of the Beast, Wasted Years, Stranger in a Strange Land, and many more I'm sure you will discover as you go along,
Anyway if this hasn't been mentioned in the comments but the band members are singer Bruce Dickinson, bass Steve Harris he also founded the band back in 1975 in London England, guitars are Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers, and Drums Nicko McBrain, they are in there 60s and Nicko is 70, Bruce had a pilots license to fly Boeing planes but gave it up a few years ago when they changed the age you had to renew it, he also owns an aviation company based in Wales, he has also written novels brewed beer which is called Trooper Ale it's very nice, been a professional fencer and survived throat cancer back in 2015.

Many of Iron maidens songs are history lessons, based on real events or literary icons.
The Trooper, inspired by the 1854 charge of the light brigade.
Aces High, inspired by the Battle of Britain.
    The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, ;
    Samuel Taylor Coleridge's 1798 poem.
And Various biblical texts, there is a vast catalogue to choose from.

Love maiden. Paul Di'Anno was their singer from 1978 through 1981. Their self titled first album started the mascot Eddie craze I believe. The album Killers was their best with Di'Anno and has some good songs in it. There is some cool history between the band Samson and Iron Maiden involving Bruce the singer here and the drummer. Really good read if you like to read up histories of the bands. Bruce I must say, is on a totally different level and is one of if not the best in this genre and time.

Great song and concert to react to. It's an amazing song and the audience makes it epic. The other song to react from this concert should be "The Evil That Men Do" and you could get an introduction to Eddie \m/. Great reaction and insight to audience participation. A live crowd can definitely make a performance fantastic.

Maiden is the soundtrack to so many lives - like mine. Started listening in '83 and haven't stopped. Have seen them a dozen or so times and compare it to having my soul healed - it is that profound.
I suggest Dance of Death ruclips.net/video/GoBok1xd93M/видео.html
Great story telling, great singing, great musicianship by all 3 guitarists and Steve on bass and Nicko on drums.

Try Hallowed be the Name - I prefer the Flight 666 live version, but Bruce's vocals are a touch better in the 1982 Hammersmith live version. Also Rime of the Ancient Mariner. I also enjoy The Red and the Black live version for the guitar solos - 13 minutes long! Always have to listen to Maiden live, as their guitar solos are even better live, and so much energy.
