The guitarist is Angus Young...who is now 68 years old! The idea of the school boy uniform came from his sister, who thought he looked cute when he returned home from school wearing it when he was a child. It's been his trademark for decades.
Angus is an amazing, incredible talent. He could play the guitar falling down the stairs, backwards, and not miss a single note! River Plate is legendary, every song from this concert is worth listening
That concert is amazing! I've got "Live at River Plate" on Bluray and I play it from time to time on a big screen. I have to say that lot of amazing concerts happened at that stadium, just search on youtube for "Live at River Plate" and you will see it.
There were 3 shows in Argentina, it was the first time that they went to Argentina. Each show was sold out to 100k plus people. People traveled from all over the world for these 3 shows.
Not too shabby for a bunch of old dudes!!!!! AC/DC played 3 straight nights at River Plate in Dec 2009 to a total of 220,000+ ppl so says their official web site so that’s 73,000+ a night!!!!! Brian Johnson the lead singer was 63, Angus Young the lead guitarist was 55 and the rest of the boys were in their 50’s!!! Legendary is all I can say. These Argentina fans are the best on the planet and they appreciate good hard driving rock and roll. Just look at all the different ages in the crowd. It transcends generations. Unbelievable!! So says Austin Tx!!!! 🤣🤣🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍🥳🥳😎😎🍸

One of the best Live shows done by the band. River Plate is insane, the crowds over 3 sold out nights jumped so much they damaged buildings next to the stadium. They banned shows after this, so stick with the show for Hells Bells, Highway to Hell, Rock 'N' Train or anything else to enjoy this legendary group.
I’d never heard the story about damage to neighboring buildings before. Can you point me to an article or something about it? I’d love to find out more. I searched but couldn’t find anything related. Thanks.

AC DC are in there 50's and 60's at this performance they are one of the greatest rock bands of all time and the people in the audience are the children of their orginal fans.
As you asked, Brian Johnson (singer) was 62 when this was recorded, Angus Young (guitar) was 54, but it makes no difference at all, these guys have more energy, more talent, than others half their age, they'll still be rocking it out in their graves.
Did you note the size of the crowds? I think from memory, there were around 200,000 at each of the concerts .. 3 days in a row! Then there's the Moscow concert with a number of bands including Metalica, where the crowds were in the millions. This was an era when bands had 'talent' and were around for years ... long enough to form long lasting fans. Today's musicians/bands tend to be 'one hit wonders' and are churned out by the music companies every second day and no one will remember most of them in a few years. Their concerts are also tiny in comparison.
Great reaction Inna! I grew up listening to AC/DC. There one of the best rock bands of all time. They've been around since 1973 and from Australia Angus. Angus Young is 68. Brian Johnson is 75 and Cliff Williams is 73! Young is one of the best lead guitar players of all time. There was 200,000 fans at that concert!Go back and watch the whole performance, Angus shows his endless energy!
Brian Johnson ( lead singer ) was born in 1947, this was filmed in 2009, Do the Math. The rest of the band was in their 50's making this performance even more impressive
I was there. I have goosebumps remembering that concert. AcDc is not my favorite band, but for sure it was the best concert I've ever seen live (I'm 54 now and I've seen lots of concerts) . We were more than 70000 souls there. Total party!

Not to mention River Plate is in 1st Place !!!!! 🤙🤙🤙🏆
I saw AC/DC in the early 1980's, at an indoor arena, on their "For Those About To Rock" tour. During the concert they set off cannons. The band was so loud, you didn't hear the cannons. You felt the pressure level in your chest and saw the smoke but didn't hear them. This may explain some of my current hearing problems
Angus young is the madman on lead guitar. His brother Malcom is on rhythm guitar, Brian Johnson is the lead singer. You can officially say that " you've been thunderstruck" ! The energy at one of their shows is electric.
You mean the mad genius, don't you? I don't play the guitar, so I can't distinguish technically between guitar players, but all I know is I sure love the way Angus plays - and his antics. And I'm glad they're getting their tour back together. I believe they're in Indio, CA this weekend (Saturday) playing at the Empire Polo Club. They're like the Blues Brothers - they're gettin' the band back together and I love it.
one of the best rock `n` roll concerts ever. the crowd is fantastic, and ac/dc the best rock band...just perfect. i have seen them in yokohama...strangely enough, there were chairs in front of the stage, ha ha ha, never seen before, and never after...
inna, you haven't missed anything yet. All that music you can still discover and listen to. It doesn't matter when. One of the things I missed out on is having been to a AC/DC live concert. For some unknown reason it never happened even though I have been to many other concerts, but so be it. AC/DC is one of the best (known) rock bands of all time. The energy during their performances and in the songs themselves is contagious: you have to sing along and play air guitar or drums. One can not sit still during an AC/DC song. Guitar player Angus Young is a phenomenon in itself. Not only is he a great player but his on stage performance is fantastic. The very first time I had the pleasure of seeing AC/DC on television was when Whole lotta Rosie was released in Europe in 1977 and little Vals saw a guitar player in a school boy uniform on stage doing his own version of Chuck Berry's goose walk (check out Chuck Berry if you can as he is one of the founders of rock and roll and with that most current music genres). Little Vals was a fan of AC/DC from that moment on. At the time Bon Scott was the singer of the band. He tragically died in 1980 after which the current singer Brian Johnson took over.
Indeed, there are favourite bands I've never seen live either and have since retired. 😞 I manged to squeak in Kraftwerk and Black Sabbath late in their careers. I was lucky in that I was in Toronto in for 8 months of the 1990 and AC/DC played at SkyDome, The Razor's Edge tour. They started with Thunderstruck, unreal!! Then in 1995 (96?) I saw them again at SkyDome, the Ballbreaker tour. As you say, impossible to stay still at their concerts. EVERYONE is into it and know the lyrics by heart. Other 1990 notables were Heart, Cheap Trick, Judas Priest, Megadeth and David Bowie
I was in the Festhalle in Farankfurt on March 30, 1991. It was my first rock concert. I had just turned 16. There were a maximum of 500 people in a cordoned off area at the front. It was just amazing. I will never forget it, the guys have always been great at several ACDC concerts since then.
Yeah! AC/DC, the first metal band i've listened when i was around 8 - 9 years old. Maybe for the next song HELLS BELLS? A live performance from the 90ies, that was their best time! For me! Yes, this was a big crowd!
If you got the chops go find anything from their 3 nights in a row concerts at River Plate in Argentina in Dec of 2009. You won’t be disappointed!!!!! After all the lads are best tasted live in my humble opinion!!!!!!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!! 😍😍😍🎸🎸🎸🤩😎🍸
ACDC was one of the best pure straight-ahead rock bands and their 1980 album Back In Black is definitely within the top 10 rock albums of all time (also, the 2'nd best selling album of all time). ACDC was formed in 1973 by brothers Angus Young (lead guitarist, who always wears a schoolboy uniform in concert) and Malcolm Young (rhythm guitar) and the bassist, Cliff Williams, and drummer, Phil Rudd, in this concert had been with them for more than three decades at the time of this concert. Their original lead singer, Bon Scott, dies from alcohol poisoning just 7 months after the release of their 1979 breakthrough album Highway To Hell. After being convinced by Bon's parents to keep the band together, they found a new lead vocalist, Brian Johnson (the guy in this video), and shortly after they recorded the classic Back In Black album.
AC/DC are a legendary and iconic Rock band who started out in Australia 1973 and have sold over 250 million records. This concert was in 2009 when the singer Brian was in his 60’s the others around 55. Angus Young is considered one of the best ever guitarists in the world and a legend in his own right. People of all ages follow them because of their classic music/songs.
As an old AC-DC fan, I'm of course promoting "It's a long way to the top" with Bon Scott and his bagpipes. But others may also pitch your interest, like Hells Bells. I am sure there will be a lot of suggestions in this thread. Let There Be Rock (bon scott) also was one of my favourites.
The singer, Brian Johnson was 62 years old at this performance. Just a few years older than the rest of the band (I believe), so the rest of the band was in their late 50's here...and still rocking out just like they were doing in the 70's and 80's! That's real staying power. The guitarist, Angus Young is my favorite all time guitarist...one of the greatest guitarist of all time (well...maybe not top 5 but at least top 15)
An AC/DC concert from Buenos Aires in December 2009 when nearly 200,000 fans, over 3 sold-out nights, thunderously welcomed them back after a 13-year absence from Argentina.
Soy de ARGENTINA, estuve en los tres días de show , que fueron en la primera semana de diciembre de 2009, en cada uno de esos recitales hubo 60.000 personas. Saludos desde Buenos Aires,,!!!!!!!!!!
Thunderstruck was my first time being in touch with Rock music, in a disco that elsewise mainly played 90s techno… so here we were on the overcrowded dancefloor with tons of techno fans screaming Thunder … I’d love to see your reaction to hells bells next
These guys have been playing for decades and they still draw a huge crowd. You look at this crowd and they are alot of young people. There will go strong for decade to come even when they stop.
This concert was recorded in Argentina at River Plate Stadium, all those members are over in their 70 years old, the lead vocal is Brian Johnson who joined in 1980 and lunch the greatest album back in black honoring to the first lead vocal Bon Scott.
@@dugii12345 Dude, you're a bit behind the times. Brian had hearing issues which were resolved in 2017. He came back in 2018 and so did Cliff and eventually Phil Rudd. They recorded a new album, "PwrUP" which was released in December, 2020. The only member of the band who isn't still there is Malcolm, who sadly died in 2017. HIs nephew Stevie replaced him in 2013,
When this song came out, I was only 15 years old and I can remember that we used to shout along to it in discos ;-) Poison by Alice Cooper or Funkytown by the group Pseudo Echo were also songs that were played in discos back then. Well, and the first kiss to “First Time” by Robin Beck... You never forget things like that ;-) We didn't have smartphones back then, but it was an interesting, exciting time.
It’s nice to see younger people finding these legendary artists and appreciating their songs. Another one of the songs by them also at River Plate you should check out is “Highway to Hell”. Another epic group you should check out is Eagles “Hotel California “. Also, look up “Pink Floyd-Comfortably Numb, the Pulse concert live”. Absolutely epic performance by the band.
AC DC concerts was a hell of a lot of fun. You will experience amplified cannon fire. Loudest sound l've ever heard. It will literally shake your organs.
Great video to react to. Crowd Attendance is insane and make it a big party. Like Brian sang "They Blew Our Minds" \m/ Awesome reaction and grooving to the music. Keep up the great reactions !
Thanks for your reaction. the guitarist you asked about is Angus Young. River Plate stadium can accomodate a crowd of around 85000 people. From the same River Plate show, I could recommend you Hells Bells from the same band--amazing performance. If you wamt another example of an old band with musicians still rocking in their late 50's early 60's I suggest you Metallica (live Québec Magnetic), choose either master of puppets or Seek & destroy--I was there for the entire show and interactions between the band & the crowd were amazing. In order to help us out if you could present yourself a little bit: how old are you ?--what do you like in music (which style) and small thimgs like that. It will be easier for us to make suggestions that you will like. Have a nice day, Inna. Want to sing along ??--then do it, you seem to enjoy it. If you wantch the Metallica live songs that I suggested, find the lyrics before watching, you'll need them to sing along also--they'll ask you.
Other great tracks from the same gig 'Rock 'N Roll Train' 'Whole Lotta Rosie' 'Hells Bells' 'For Those About To Rock' 'Highway To Hell'...all great AC/DC rock classics. The lead guitarist is Angus Young and the led singer is Brian Johnson. Drummer Phil Rudd and the rythm guitarists Cliff Williamson (blonde hair) and the late great Malcom Young. The crowd were estimated at around 200,000. River Plate Argentina.
I was at the opening concert of the Razor's Edge tour (Buffalo War Memorial Auditorium - the very last event before they tore it down!), and that was tiny in comparison to this. As for the lyrics, they take on a whole new meaning when one considers that The Razor's Edge is a concept album that tells the story of a visit to a Nevada brothel...
The guitarist you love is “Angus Young.” He is the most famous & original member of the band. You know somebody should open up a nursing home for old rock groupies! By the way “Back in Black” & “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” is fantastic as well!
A lot of people watching these bands for the first time have missed out "all this time". That is what RUclips is for....now you can really see what you've been missing. And...you just got to see the greatest rock band of all time.
Always a pleasure to see the next generation exploring and getting excited about the music of my youth. Thunderstruck is great, but also check out their early work. There is a brilliant live-version of "Bad Boy Boogie" out there that I would recommend. Snotty-nosed round-about-twenty Angus is such a a blast.
Here is a list that you should try (in any order): -Let There be Rock - official video or Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon) -Whole Lotta Rosie (Live at River Plate) - (With Brian) -TNT (Live at River Plate) - (with Brian) -Riff Raff Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon) - The Jack Live at River Plate - (with Brian) - Its a Long Way to The Top (If you wanna Rock n Roll) - (with Bon) - Thunderstruck - Donington - (with Brian) -For Thouse About to Rock - Live at River Plate (is The Last song from the concert)
Thank you very much for watching guys ❤ see you soon on twitch.tv/innasolo

Other 1990 notables were Heart, Cheap Trick, Judas Priest, Megadeth and David Bowie
You nailed this one Inna. AC/DC, brilliant 👍❤️
I can't recall how many times I've seen this band. Starting from when I was a pre-teen. They never failed to deliver the goods no matter what.
Same here 11 concerts . .
Sad now some have passed on 😭
I was in the Festhalle in Farankfurt on March 30, 1991. It was my first rock concert. I had just turned 16. There were a maximum of 500 people in a cordoned off area at the front. It was just amazing. I will never forget it, the guys have always been great at several ACDC concerts since then.
AC DC are great but the crowd are mind blowin'
Yeah! AC/DC, the first metal band i've listened when i was around 8 - 9 years old. Maybe for the next song HELLS BELLS? A live performance from the 90ies, that was their best time! For me!
Yes, this was a big crowd!
Yes Donington was great!
@@liz6965 that's true!
Best live band I've ever seen and I have seen a lot of bands
Better late than never to discover music you haven't heard. Keep diving and digging deep into older music.
If you got the chops go find anything from their 3 nights in a row concerts at River Plate in Argentina in Dec of 2009. You won’t be disappointed!!!!! After all the lads are best tasted live in my humble opinion!!!!!!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!! 😍😍😍🎸🎸🎸🤩😎🍸
I was turning 50, when i joined to listen to them. A lot. They are still rocking and they know how to get the crowd going nuts.
Well done, Inna! You couldn't have picked a better song for your introduction to AC/DC. 🥰👍
Thank you 😊
That crowd!!!!! And that walkway !!!!
ACDC FOR ITS 50 YEARS PUBLISHED A VIDEO WHERE THE RIVER PLATE STADIUM APPEARS LIKE A TURNTABLE. EPIC RECITAL IS COMING??? 🌩️🌩️🔥
AC/DC Live is an incredible experience. As you said - they have so much energy!!
Guitarist Angus Young one of the great blues/rock talents.
AC/DC Live At River Plate was recorded in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in December 2009. AC/DC played to a sold-out crowd of nearly 200,000
My favorite rock n roll uncles 😂 RIP uncle Malcolm!
Thunderstruck was my first time being in touch with Rock music, in a disco that elsewise mainly played 90s techno… so here we were on the overcrowded dancefloor with tons of techno fans screaming Thunder …
I’d love to see your reaction to hells bells next
These guys have been playing for decades and they still draw a huge crowd. You look at this crowd and they are alot of young people. There will go strong for decade to come even when they stop.
I always enjoy watching your reactions to good music. Have a great day.
Thank you very much 😊 have a nice day!
This concert was recorded in Argentina at River Plate Stadium, all those members are over in their 70 years old, the lead vocal is Brian Johnson who joined in 1980 and lunch the greatest album back in black honoring to the first lead vocal Bon Scott.
Australian rock band formed in 1973. Still rockin today.
whit who? Bass player retarie, Brian have voice problems, Malcome die, Rudd also retaire...only Angus...thats not AC/DC!
All recital of ACDC on River plate you will love it
It’s nice to see younger people finding these legendary artists and appreciating their songs.
Daddy dancing at its finest, you've been thunderstruck.
Look at the age of these old rockers, look at the age of the fans.
Great reaction. Thank you.
Monumental River Plate Argentina the best!!! Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
Yes, Old-Guard was real and great music.... and this song is much older..... then 2009
AC/DC has been creating sinewaves in the earths crust for 50 years (band started in 1973).
They pull big crowds and get them all to rock!
i was born in 72 ,, damn am i that old. yes i grew up with Acca friggin Dacca
That is AC/DC and they got fans more than bands you know combine. And That one of the best band in the world and they are from Australia.
AC DC concerts was a hell of a lot of fun. You will experience amplified cannon fire. Loudest sound l've ever heard. It will literally shake your organs.
El mejor recital de rock y el mejor público del mundo. Una tormenta perfecta .
Shoot To Thrill
High Voltage
TNT
(All live from Donington 1991)
Let There Be Rock live at the Apollo Glasgow 1978 (with original singer Bon Scott)
Thank you for the suggestions 😊
The 80s, by far was the best decade for music in the last 100 years.
I think the 60's & 70's will appeal. :)
Angus Young, THE original guitar hero!
AC/DC is ranked in the top 5 best live bands ive ever seen!
Angus Young is one the most beautiful thing that happen to rock n' roll 🤟
One of the best Australian bands ever 🇦🇺🦘
I was at the opening concert of the Razor's Edge tour (Buffalo War Memorial Auditorium - the very last event before they tore it down!), and that was tiny in comparison to this.
As for the lyrics, they take on a whole new meaning when one considers that The Razor's Edge is a concept album that tells the story of a visit to a Nevada brothel...
The guitarist you love is “Angus Young.” He is the most famous & original member of the band. You know somebody should open up a nursing home for old rock groupies!
By the way “Back in Black” & “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” is fantastic as well!
although they are not in their 20:s any longer...their audience still is...love your reactions Inna
Thank you very much 😊
Yes, dear. They ARE old. They were in their twenties in 1970. They were at least 60 in this concert.
