Yet another beautiful practice from James. This is a very strong long hold class that intelligently targets all the major muscle groups as well as generates amazing energy. This is such an amazing session, and truly a game changer for me. Actually the entire Wrist and Hand Free playlist is amazing. But this one has become a favorite. I found James and this series after- guess what- I injured my wrist, and then injured the other one too from compensating. With my injury and with James I have learned that you do not stop doing yoga with an injury, but you continue, and the yoga helps you heal. Obviously you need to practice carefully and make changes and adjustments. So beautifully done by James. And what's more, like a seeing person that has become blind, you learn new things and to use your body and your senses in new ways. I now have such a deeper understanding of my yoga practice and so many postures learned from the wrist and hand free practice. Had I not injured myself and not gone through this journey, my yoga would not have advanced as much this year, I truly believe. Thank you James for posting your videos, for sharing your incredible talent, and for your kind and warm hearted offerings to the world.

Yay! thanks Ann Marie, ok well noted to do some more really strong hardcore flows then haha! And i love your observation that you can see or learn so many new things through the gateway of injury. Injury sucks, but there can always be a silver lining 😊

Thank you so much for these videos! After getting really into yoga during covid, I had a climbing accident leaving me with a badly broken arm and elbow and nerve damage in my hand meaning I can't use my left arm or hand. Your videos are absolutely perfect and have allowed me to enjoy yoga at a time when I can't do most of my other hobbies. You make it fun and accessible even when it's challenging and my legs/core are burning! Thank you!

  • @jenngarthwaite1005

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I have shoulder issues so keeping off the wrists makes a huge difference. But this doesn’t sacrifice any intensity by avoiding the wrists- it’s a completely different flow. I’ve had so much tightness in my psoas and hips, despite doing regular yoga and stretching. I feel like the tightness is alleviated after doing these longer holds. It makes sense that I need to strengthen the surrounding, bigger muscles as well. Thanks!

I've been training with your "hands free" videos every day for a few weeks now. I am currently struggling with the effects of my cancer treatment. My daily yoga practice, which is now possible thanks to you, is a real “island of joy” for me! Thank you very much for this opportunity! - Yoga works like magic against weakness and pain. Today I dared to make this video. I had watched it before and didn't think I would last. BUT I DID IT !!! AND IT’S EVEN SOMETHING ELEGANT!!! - How much stronger I have already become! And how much my body can do again! Again: THANK YOU, JAMES!!! Your videos are so great! Not only because you are a wonderful yoga teacher and I learn so much from you every day, but also because they are so full of beauty and poetry! It's almost like dancing! (And then I imagine the many thousands of yogis who have started this practice all over the world, all of us practicing your beautiful workout together. And wobbling around and falling over and laughing and sweating together and in the end creating your beautiful poses and flows. .. Beautiful!)

I loved this practice! I enjoyed the longer holds, the twists, and the balanced poses! ❤️ And it was challenging but I feel so calm and in a very good place now. Thank you! 🌺 Do you have any wrist free mandala flows? That would be lovely!!! 🌺🌺

I have tendonitis in my wrists and I hate that flare-ups have been stopping me from doing more intense yoga practices. Not anymore though! This is going on my "do it until it's not hard anymore" playlist. Thank you James!

Great practice - I love the slower stronger style. Done too many overly fast flows where there's no chance to get form / breathing down. This is the opposite!

I love seeing my notifications pop up with new video!! Absolutely love them, you have been the best thing that has happened to me during pandemic quarantine 🧡. Now, something strange has happened in the last two hands free videos. I feel that the transitions have gotten too fast and I find myself always a couple moves behind 🤷🏼‍♀️ (which is not fun). Not sure if it’s me.... but wanted to put it out there. Much love 🙏🏻

I like micro details and i really appreciate you making us aware of them. Please tell me why i am having pain in the knees when i do chair pose with the heels lifted? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as i can do it just fine without the heel raise, your feedback is most appreciated. Thank you for this practice by the way.

Thank you for all of these hands free videos! I’m a newbie to your channel and a longtime yoga practitioner, but two in-progress tattoo sleeves mean I am repetitively in need of flows that don’t have me rubbing my forearms all over my mat, and your videos have been perfect and challenging!
