I'm so impressed with this Prosecutor. Not only was he very detailed, he delivered the whole closing argument without notes. In all my years working in circuit court, I have never seen a Prosecutor deliver a Closing Argument without notes. I'm astounded by this Prosecuting Attorney. And, not to mention he is 80 years old. This case is obviously very important to him.

Meaning the state had to verbally object and judge sustaining. Awful unprofessional conduct on her part. Hats off to the state for a professional closing. May they have convinced this jury an eye for an eye and the appropriate sentence of sending this defendant to the highest court of which he can’t escape his judgment. I am normally against the death penalty but this is a cut and dry case in which it is justified. He did this heinous crime, and whether or not he is mentally ill should have nothing to do with the punishment he receives for it. The only factor in the sentencing should be what the survivors and families want.

Michael Satz is a great Prosecutor he never looked back at any notes, or read off note cards. He spoke 100% facts and true to the heart about Cruz and his pre-planning, methodology, video's and execution style killings. When States Attorney Satz played the raw 45 min. footage from the High School video surveillance camera's of the mass killings to the jury. The Defense team began to watch but then looked away, because it was so graphic. The Defense will argue that it wasn't Cruz's fault but his Mother for smoking and drinking, upbringing, lifestyle, his mental behavior, the system letting him down. 😭 Sorry but he should be shot x139 just as much rounds that he fired in that school.

Having watched this trial from start to finish, I can say that objectively the state has the strongest argument and evidence in my opinion. The defense is having to fall back on appeals to emotion and a very sketchy "diagnosis" of fetal alcohol syndrome. I would be very surprised if the State loses this case, and if they do, I imagine it'll ultimately come down to one conscientious objector. After all, they only need one.

I feel like in situations like this, the families and kids that were there should all be verified and allowed to each cast a vote of what they want...life/death and allow a judge to count them up and then whatever their outcome is the choice that should be handed down. IMO. They are the real ones that have to deal with this for the rest of their lives and I'm sure the sisters/brothers lives etc.
I'm not sure I could do a death vote myself either, but I also agree where I can understand it, especially here.

I get what you're saying, but the sort of life you and I would love him to have in there won't happen. The families won't ever fully get over the loss, but they'll at least have closure in the fact that the scumbag who did it isn't breathing, eating, laughing, gaming and socializing in there, and gets to see countless sunrises and sunsets that he took from all those victims.

@@lorrainebest1731 I'm so confused by this comment. Why would that be shocking? And what do you mean by "above all others?" It literally cant't get any worse than this?

Prosecutor and his team was absolutely phenomenal throughout this case! I do not think you could have gotten a better prosecutor and state defense as this team! They laid out one of the most organized, detailed, visceral case and cross examinations I think I have ever seen!!! It could not have been done any better -- period!!!

It must have taken all the restraint the families could muster not to jump the bar and try and throttle the killer.

Mike Satz the prosecuter is incredible. How he remembered every single name and what happened. It's mind boggling how much he prepared and cared to see justice being served. This is someone who really took this to heart. It's mind boggling. I could see this in my mind as he spoke. I can't deal with it as I write this. I cannot imagine how the parents and families feel.. It's so horrific...I am beside myself for the survivors also. The pain...
This has to stop... I just don't have words good enough.
I am so sorry for the families... So very sorry

I have said it before but I'm goin to say..total respect for Mr Satz,
He's brilliant x I'm so pleased with how he summed up. Reminding everyone the despicable x wicked crime nc committed, killing 17 x wounding 17. So hard on the poor families but the jury needs to hear this.

He even chose that day Valentines day so every parent now will remember on that day, when they should be enjoying a card from their partners, why should taxpayers pay for his 3 meals a day. In this case DP.

The defense attorneys would not watch the videos! They should be made to watch all the videos before they do their closing! They are all in denial! They are detached and just doing a job and not a good job at that!
