It's ironic, but more durable skate shoes like this (and something like the Es Accel OG most people consider too thick) have a better flick on some fresh griptape I've noticed. It makes sense of course, but especially with my Es Accel OG it's a world a difference in terms of how it flicks. How did the laces hold up on the Silo? I've skated the Es Symbols, but there the laces did get damaged a lot. Otherwise, a virtually perfect shoe for my preference.
Hey my g! I mentioned it in the review but the laces did completely rip right away (1-2 sessions). 😔 Other than that it was a great experience and I would def give Es another try (very curious about the Accel Slim or Silo sc). I think the Es Symbol has the same outsole as these so interesting to hear your thoughts!
Love the Silo cupsole, but they're too narrow for me at the forefoot. Thankfully, they have now released a fusion of the Quattro and the Silo, so I can wear those.
Im old 57 dude most vans etc fit bad i wear Altra trail shoes wide zero drop im ordering silos see how i go with them want some street wheels solf but good slide ?
Nice man! Hope you enjoy the shoes. If you want soft wheels that slide that’s tough because usually those are contradictory in nature. I would go with a Spitfire formula four in a 99 duro. You can still slide them but they will be good “enough” for the street. Especially if you get a conical or tablet shape would give you a smoother ride most likely. What kind of ground do you skate?
@@Skatebetter street couple good parks local, want to get back in bowls back in the day i had alva dirp drop 10 x30 lipbombs and loads london state park s to grind and crave cheers dude
Need more silo's with the mesh toe box!! Soo fire, got that 90s look with a new age twist, flawless combo!! éS is the béSt!!
Always fun to try out a new shoe. Not my style but it didn’t look too off though.
Def a unique one for sure

Hold the phone. 8.5? A US 8.5? You look way taller than me and I wear 8.5 - 9 US. That's weird.
