    Nice review man. Lakai is legit brand though I don't mess with all their line-up cause they're a lil narrower on the toe box. The Lakai shoes that are fair for wider feet are the Trudger and the Evo though I mess with the Fade since they stopped making em.
    Hope you're excited for Tiago's second signature. The 808.

      Thank you! I didn’t know Tiago had another show dropping- Def will keep an eye out 👀. I looked at the Trudger as well because the shape looked interesting. Anyways happy skating my g 🙏🏻

    I feel that the Telfords are basically Lakai's version of the Jordan 1. The forefoot is too narrow for me, but if you like Jordan 1s, these should be great to skate in.
    Lakai uses very tacky but not very durable rubber in general, so the sole is usually the first thing to go on them.

      Makes total sense- thanks my g!

    I got the reds this week great board feel for a cup soul and I have really wide feet but half a size up from my vans is spot on

      Hope you enjoy them! I really did have a lot of fun the shoe. They were all around pretty solid. 💪🏻

    Yeah, i just got these in the same color way and i do agree that the toe is narrow but once im warmed up i dont notice it that much. Amazing board feel for a cupsole BUT me being a older skater id much prefer more impact protection and a wider toe.

    I’ve been skating the Etnies Marana x Michelin recently and I think you should try them, they are super solid, or Fallen Footwear, those are my favorite shoe company’s

    • @Skatebetter
      @Skatebetter  Год назад +1

      I’m skating some Etnies right now (they’re a Vulc) and I like them way more than I thought I would. If i try Etnies again I’ll prob do the Marana or Joslins. 👌🏻

    Nice review mate !
    I was thinking about this shoe, basically because it's kinda a Dunk alternative. I ended up buying the DC MANTECA 4. My first DC's since 2 decades. They look kinda similar. Didn't skated them yet but they feel pretty nice on foot so far . Maybe you like them too. I got mine for 75 € so a good deal.

      Thanks brotha! I was this close 👌🏻to buying some DC Lynx- love the classic throwback vibe and the price point is solid. I went with some Etnies instead (got a good deal) but DC is still on the radar for sure.
      Curious if the Manteca’s feel heavy or on the lighter side?

    • @DavidBoardstein
      @DavidBoardstein 2 года назад

      @@Skatebetter they are heavier than my Adidas 3St.004 and a lill heavier than the Etnies Josl1n I'm skating atm. But still lighter than my HalfCaps.

    any thoughts on how this compares to the tyshawn? those have been my go to shoe for the past year and I'm looking to switch it up

    • @Skatebetter
      @Skatebetter  Год назад +2

      Tyshawns are superior in my opinion- they have more cushioning, better impact, and still decent board feel plus feel super secure on the foot imo. The Telford are just as durable but lack extra cushioning and not quite as secure. I would give the Tyshawns a 9/10 total and the Telford a 7.5 but they are fun to skate! Hope that helps.

    I’ve been looking at the Telford myself a bit lately. That colourway looks nice. Not so much a fan of any of the others to be honest. Might get a pair in the future. I don’t think they aesthetically have anything on the Dunks that people like to compare them to. Not that it matters to me I’ll never skate a Dunk. Too expensive and too much hassle to get a hold of. Anyways for now I’ve still got a backlog of Joslin 1s. Love that shoe.

    • @Skatebetter
      @Skatebetter  2 года назад +1

      Like deep down i really want to skate dunks but i don’t think I’ll ever bring myself to do it- probably just where them around casually if i ever get a pair lol. Next pair I’m skating is Etnies! They’re a vulc so it’s gonna be interesting. Enjoy the Joslins!

    • @RikRiorik
      @RikRiorik 2 года назад

      @@Skatebetter I think the Dunks aesthetically are a very pleasant looking shoe and there’s loads of really nice colourways. So it’s a shame they are so difficult to get a hold of. That actually just turns me off of them sort of in spite 😂.
      I saw the Etnies you posted up in the Passport deck photo. I didn’t instantly recognize them. They look like Old Skool Vans sort of.

      I got the same size i get in all my skate shoes (8.5) and it was the correct fit for me so I would order your normal skate shoe size. 👌🏻
