Actually Telfords one the rarest shoes that combine’s both wide foot fit, and ankle support. Most shoes on the market like Nike blazer mid or vans old school provides ankle support and protection but I have to go through long break in period with blisters and stuff, hate it. But these comfortable, for my wide feet, out of box. Love them so far.
Well this sold me lol I have some Lakai Cambridge that I absolutely loved skating but they were a touch on the narrow side, which is expected with such an adidas indoor soccer inspired shoe as that one, I’ve been eyeing the Telfords for a while because I just refuse to pay the hypebeast premium for dunks these days. Good to know these will work for me.
Maybe it’s just me but i have a wide foot and can only comfortably skate vans out the box. I just bought the fourstar telfords and they feel so uncomfortable rn
@@humanbeing8068 sure your foot isn't just flat? i have a wide foot but my arch is also collapsed which flattens my foot when i put weight on it. Hey, "normal person" here. I used to skate back when I was a teenager. I now have a career where I can't justify the time off for the potential ankle injuries as I'm usually on my feet all day, but I still wear Lakai shoes almost all the time and I regularly get compliments on them. I love my Lakais and usually stick with them because I like the style, (im a sucker for the unique color ways.) and even though i don't skate anymore, I tend to be very rough on shoes, and skate shoes in general (and especially Lakais, in my opinion.) tend to wear down more attractively than most "normal" shoes do. Great review by the way, first video I've seen from your channel, and likely won't be the last.
Good to know. I just got some lows coming in the mail now. Luckily I got a deal. Grand total was $44.09 so for that price I don't mind blowing through them quickly. I'm stoked and hope I like them.
Hey Christian, I’m curious what wrist braces you use when skating. I broke my left wrist skating and ended up needing surgery and wanna get back to it with some measure of protection. Great review as usual good sir
i got my wrist brace from walmart they should have it in the medicine area if not ask around, ive had mine for awhile so i cant remember where in store i got it
I'd really recommend the triple-8 gear, you can get a full pack on amazon for about 50 bucks and the wrist guards themself for 20 dollars on amazon or onewheel
I would love to see a review on the fat eS Accel OG (I tried the slims also and they are horrible). I personally didn't mind them much but dude everyone looks to be skating them in Japan right now
Lakai consistently makes some damn good looking shoes. I don't skate nearly as much as I used to (so I guess I'm "normal" now? Idk lol) but I've been itching to get a pair just to feel that skate shoe feel again. So idk if you wanna call me a poser or whatever but I honestly prefer the look of Lakai over Vans or Nike or any other big af borderline streetwear name. So to answer your question I wouldn't be surprised to see more people start wearing em for looks cuz they're straight gas. Fire reviews btw, you really commit to your craft.
Luved the review and this was very accurate just killed my pair, last week, literally everything you said happened to them over about a month and a half of skating them, except no bloody toe :)
I'm really curious on your opinion for eS Swift 1.5. They're amazing in my opinion and maybe you'd like them too. Just go half a size lower so you wouldn't compain about the fit.
Ok I love everything you do for skateboarding but dog, you used to really review shoes, I mean like some long reviews that show what the extended wear looks like and I’ve just been sad lately that the shoes are still looking pretty dang new during the review. Don’t get me wrong I still love and appreciate it but personally I always always love it when you put more time into skating the shoe.
Finally! I've been wanting to hear your thoughts. Thank you for this video.! My favorite skate shoe! I'm on my second pair (this same color) and will likely continue to get more lol Here's my take on this shoe (I've even played with the idea of doing my first ever upload to youtube just to talk about this shoe): For folks looking to buy this shoe. I agree with what Chris said, unless you're some youngster, impact hurts with these if you don't have a good insole. I have Fp in mine. Before the insoles, my knees would hurt and impact off 3 stairs was already too much for me. For all of 2022 till now, I skated a rotation between lakai cambridge and telford..both lasted me 7 months. I retired my cambridge already and still got a few more sessions before I make a whole on my flicking side. (skating 2-3 times a week averaging 1-2 hours each sesh) Aesthetically I love this shoe. It excites me seeing these on Kyonosuke ripping the streets more than someone skating jordan 1's (no shade). I do wish cushion was better but I guess its the price I'm paying for my favorite aesthetically pleasing skate shoe.
ive been wondering about these thanks for the review! I kinda feel the way abt sb dunks that ive skated. Like they look dope and hitting on a skateshop raffle feels awesome, but they get torn tf up after like two medium length sessions. Really comfy to just rock on the daily tho! While im here in the comments i gotta say i appreciate the work!! My tyshawns were still my fave shoe i skated and it was thanks to u that i got them! Respect, man. Have a great day!

Currently skating my first Lakai's (the Vincent Alvarez Atlantic model) and I did notice it got floppy way faster than any of the other shoes I've tried (mostly etnies and eS shoes). I also noticed the bottom wore down crazy faster than the maranas I usually skate. But hey, Mike Mo likes skating his shoes floppy and I only bought the Lakai's to be more like him lol
I've been going back and forth between vans rowans and lakai Manchesters for a while but I just ordered Telford lows and I don't skate any more but those 2 brands bat 1000 for comfort but I love that these look like dunks but are more affordable and cool
I've worn Lakais for both skating and just chillin. I honestly love the brand! I even graduated high school with a pair of Griffins on my feet! I did have a nephew once ask if they were Nikes (He wears Vans, Nikes and adidas)
Hey buddy I'm that guy. I'm a guy that doesn't skate. I used to back in the '90s but not anymore and I love them. They're great. Right now I'm just a little bit of a dilemma. I need to know if with my wide foot if I could fit in 11 as opposed to 11 and a half because I just get everything 11 and a half and it works well but I've had a few pairs of 11s out of Nike the vandal edition that fit like more of a skate shoot and they're totally comfortable. So I'll be able to tell you if you can wear an 11 and still have space in your shoe which is going to be really important for people to know because then they'll give people the width and how the shoe works if it has extra space and still has a true fit effect for your foot so I'll let you know. I don't even know if any of that makes sense, but keep doing what you do. Stay awesome!
Maybe you already did a review on this shoe but I can’t find one if you have, I’d like to see a video on the Kyle walker 1, not the 2 with the strap but the first one. I’ve bought these shoes twice and they’re probably my favorite, but I think it’s be cool to see you review them
