yes they are very good...like the first oG og´s. i blink with a new pair. but my actual J1 Etnies are also so damn good, i deal with it later. Oh, Etnies, €s? same firm
these look like the perfect mix of chunky and slim, ima cop these! i dont like shoes that are super slim but i still wanna do tech stuff so these look good
You thought the slim version looked bulky?? 😄 I still love the OGs. I've tried on the slims a couple times and absolutely hated how they felt compared to the originals. You're so right about the flick. Best thing about Accels, IMO.
Have skated them as well for over a month. Same kind of wear and feel as you described. These are one of the few real OG skateshoes left from one of the few real skate shoe brand out there! Buy em, you will not regret it.
I am deeply frustrated on why this dude have less than 100k subs. U deserve millions of subs bro. I really appreciate the quality of videos u provide us. And I am really entertained by your contents. I do hope u make it to 2 million pretty soon. All the best my dude
Great shoe, a worthy slimmed down version of the venerable Accel OG. As a wide footer these are a bit narrow for me, but the suede colourways fit very well at a half size up.
I'd like to get my hands on the all black accel slim, they look so damn good and clean. The OGs while not considered a bulky shoe for it's time are a bit much for me, but if these feel remotely like those they should be fire. Just hard to go away from the handful of shoes I skate like the SB Blazers mid and low GTs, CTAS pros, and a few vans classics with the occasional Adidas. Blazers and with Sk8 hi's and slip ons are just the best ever
Love the slims one of my favourites🤘 but you are right about the outsole being thin so I put in my the really slim green fp insole with a gamechanger on top🤣
I have a pair of the old SLB mid reissue, and the sole is basically the same. Absolutely correct on all points, especially the impact protection. Whatever the rubber is in these soles is amazing, because it's so light and thin, but actually holds up. Need a way thicker and firmer insole, though.
i miss when all shoes were cup sole triple stiched. vulcanized thin shoes were always a joke back when i started skating, and i'm glad es is making its resurgence. wish they'd bring back the slb though.
Etnies was the first, es was an offshoot of the company for a more tech approach to skate shoes, and emerica came somewhat after, but that's why they all are from sole tech
@@frosty4059 I haven't personally had any lakais other than an older model I use as a lounging shoe, but most of them are vulc shoes, which I really don't like. That being said the Carroll model looks pretty good and it's sure to be comfortable, and durable.
@@frosty4059 I have skated lakais before and it was the Stevie Perez “Flaco” model, they lasted me a month and a half, before the tongue started to become very loose, and I had to tie my shoes very tight so it wont move, kind of annoying. But other than that, very good flick, nice board feel and also comfortable. I wouldnt recommend skating down drops with them tho
@@illiasaugustus2026 i actually really like vulc shoes since all i do is either flatground level or like max 4 stairs. I want some shoes with durability and vulcanized. But thanks for your reply brother
I had one of this in Black/gum with gold eyelet for almost 3 years now, I go to work, & skate in this eS & it's still holds up pretty well untill today
I dont even buy any of the other shoes review tbh. I just love your videos. Ima keep bothering you to put people on The Es Evants. With a little adjustment its the perfect median to slim and chunky shoes if anyone wants to try thick skate shoes.
Honestly, I love both the eS Accel OG and Slim, but the thing that really irks me is the sizing. In most shoes (Like Vans) I'm a size 9 and in the OG Accels I can fit that 9 without issue. For the slim however, it feels too long and the fit as a whole is totally wonky. But that's just me!
Let me give my review before I watch the video so my opinion doesn't get affected. I had 2 pairs of Accel Slims and 1 pair of Accel Plus, I even had this exact colourway and I gotta say, the regular slims are an absolutely horrible shoes. The are so thin that your feet will hurt even by skating flatground. Every little rock you step on the ground you will feel. They are the thinnest cupsole shoe out there, by a decent margin. Even putting in FP insoles didn't fix the issue for me. That alone makes me not want to buy them again, even tho the flick felt really good and the design is a timeless classic. The Accel Plus on the other hand (of which I had the everstich colourway) was absolutely great and immediately goes to the top of my list of shoes, next to the Marana and Joslin 1's. The design is equally as good as the slims and the flick is great, but the main difference is that the Accel Plus has a much much thicker sole with great impact protection. Accel Plus gets a high recommendation from me. The Accel Slims, not so much. Avoid.
Bro, I know this is an old video and this comment is just a drop in the hat, but... I'm looking to get some kicks, I just started skating again at 29 with my kids! and the circas I was skating just didn't hold out. They were my brand back in the day, but now...... So yeah, I'm looking to see which of the brands still kicking around from my childhood are still pumping out quality. Thanks, bro
I had these shoes for a good month and a half, the only thing i'd say was bad is that the bottom of the shoe wore out before the top. I had a hole at the bottom before the suede ripped through
thats the only downside to my favorite es shoes. I love the Es evants, perfect skate shoe imo. I have been skate the es silos now though cause the sole is hella thicc. The silos are the chuckiest chunk and the sole is the thicks sole on a skate shoe ive seen. These babies gonna last 6+months
They skate good, but hurt my feet worse than any other shoe I've skated. Huge bummer. I love Es, but these are too slim and the OG's are too puffy for today's game. They need something in the middle. I just finished skating a pair of of Es Evant's. Super comfy shoe and skates well. The bottom of the sole doesn't last long though, but I'd still recommend them all day long.
Adding that I skate a sz 10, I got these in the Kelly Hart color way. The toe box fit kinda tight at first and when I broke em in the shoe looked kinda doofy cause of how much it stretched out
I know that you did 101 kick flips in them for another channel a few months back, but what are your thoughts on the es Silo? Interested to hear your thoughts as we never got a full review on em.
I have this shoe. I don't skate it much but it is a great kick around shoe. I personally like the eS Swift 1.5 better. I stopped skating eS only because I found the Tyshawn's. Tyshawn Lows will be my next shoe.
I have a few pairs of these and the new eos that is damn near the exact same shoe I’m 50/50 the nostalgia factor is mainly the reason I got them, I’m not a fan of the super long extended looking toe box or that the outsole is like 2mm thick, I’m running double insoles just to make them comfortable to walk in.
Yeah I've got a feeling this particular eS shoe is a bit underrated for how good it really is. I'm a bit biased perhaps, as I love even the much bulkier eS Accel OG a lot and have been skating eS Symbol and eS Evants now too, both great shoes also (but I hate how the shoe laces rip on eS Symbols tho). The eS Accel OG is also nigh indestructible (read: you can skate them for like 6+ months, not even joking before they should fall apart).
Christian, you always say that the shoes you skate have bad impact protection. What is a good shoe that has good impact protection and can you review it?
. I have a narrow foot. So I can’t for sure say. But I would say good. Because they feel like they have a long of room in them if I remember correctly.
Had the original Accels back in the day, and it's the penultimate skate shoe imo. Got these some time ago and they started to come apart within days, don't know if it was a dud or what. Love eS as a legacy brand and all, but was far from impressed with the quality.
Have the same shoes, different color wave, and can say that they are by far my favorite skate shoe, never getting adidas agen. Last a really long time, tho the sole was extremely grippy, witch was mostly just kinda annoying, and in a few sessions it hurt my foot for some reason
