Just got finished skating this deck...had it for about 3 1/2 weeks before it snapped and before that was having all sorts of issues with that weird tail the entire time I was riding it. For some reason I just couldn't get used to it when I would Ollie. Never fully felt in control of the board. 180s and kickflips felt really good on it though. My deck must have had some issues because when I got it there were a lot of plys separating on all sides of it. It eventually snapped on one of those little gaps in the ply too. Damn shame, really wanted to like this deck.
I feel your pain on the tail shape- couldn’t get used to it and really effected my foot setup position. Sorry to hear about the wear and tear also- maybe it was a fluke but i don’t send it off anything super big so it’s nice to know 👍🏻
@@Skatebetter yeah it's mostly just preference I suppose! I really like Quasi's art and team so it's probably just a matter of finding a better shape for my tastes in the future. Awesome review man - glad to know I wasn't the only one who felt weird about adjusting to it 🤞
It feels a little “long” because the Thunders push the trucks out, but the shorter wheelbase kind of balances it out. It felt like a pretty big board (compared to other 8.5’s I’ve ridden), but also super fan shape. Hope that helps!
I'm shocked Glider Skateboards hasn't sent a twin tail deck to the homey to review yet. John would be perfect reviewer. I love the concave and nose comparisons with all the decks. Maybe give FA/Hockey a go again. I'm curious to know your thoughts. The last drop of Hockey at my local it looked like the wood wasn't as good as before. Also no embossing.
Lol they did hit me up but didn’t have my size so they’re gonna send me some stuff when they’re restocked. Definitely would love to try another Hockey/FA but in an 8.38 for sure. Andrew is my local shop and they carry them frequently so I’ll try stop by and check out the quality of them new ones 👌🏻.
That’s some good height and stomping that first pop shuv. Also the bonelesses are looking good as always. Better even. Surely it was 32.125” and not 31.125”? That would seem incredibly short. Was nice to hear about the shape. Only being able to order online it is annoying not being able to see the shapes of boards properly.
😅 totally my bad! I think I said 32 but the text def was wrong 😑. Thanks for the trick hype brotha 🙏🏻! Thinking about maybe trying a Passport or Alien Workshop next, have you ever tried Passport?
Yeah you did say 32. My brain evidently wasn’t listening though 😂. Nope havent’t tried that many brands to be honest. Debating whether to set up another Zero or try my hand at a shaped Madness next.
@@Skatebetter yeah both are right up my alley in terms of graphics. I do wonder how I’ll like the Madness though. Blunt tail and a very tapered nose. Something completely different.
they are quite light qausi decks but in my opinion the loose pop very quickly and razor tail easly so if u like light decks this is quit good but if u like a more sturdy poppy deck u should go for a chocolate or a baker deck for sure
As a beginner, this is the deck that I am most interested in trying one day. Something tells me I’ll really like it.

How did this board feel on those Thunders? I got an 8.5 Quasi coming and have been thinking of switching from Indy to a lighter truck

@@Skatebetter thanks! It definitely does, Im looking to get that big board feel cause Im really tall and my current setup feels kinda cramped

Great review as always👍
Thank you g!
One question. When you buy it from the website, does it include the bearings/wheels?
I don’t think so my g. I got mine from a local shop. Unless they are having some sort of “deal” online I would assume not.
@@Skatebetter Thank you!

@@RikRiorik madness has really cool graphics, and you def can’t go wrong with zero. 👌🏻

I couldn’t agree more- def lost its pop pretty quick, and def would love to try a chocolate deck soon!
@@Skatebetter yea i just bought a picture show studios deck and they are light sturdy and poppy so they are good allround mate
'ES review coming?
It’s coming my g! Got about a week or two left and then will give me overall thoughts.
I liked the way you said it
Thank you g
I'm riding quasi 8.6 and it's perfect for my size I'm 6' 210
I’m having a ton of fun this one, it still has pop. 8.6 sounds super fun
5,4 I usually get an 8.75 FA, don’t know why I like torturing myself this way
Lol- Must be something about it that brings you back.
Just bought quasi 8.0 to my 11 yr old kid
Kwa zee
Thank you for this

My apologies- i did correct myself I’m the description.
