What a beast, congratulations! You know I had my Tmaxx out tonight after running my Xmaxx and Maxx and I’m telling you the Tmaxx put a huge smile on my face. I wish Traxxas would throw us a bone and give us a wide maxx kit that fits the Tmaxx. Thank you for your dedication to this fantastic hobby!
If I'm not mistaken they do have a wide kit for the Xmaxx...... I swear I seen a video someone had a kit..... could have been a custom..... not 100% sure though
I have had my V1 Max for 3 years broke bulkhead two c hubs and a servo finally went out I put the wide kit on soon as I got it 70 weight oil in rear 50 upfront runs great
I notice the Maxx squats a lot in the rear. We had 100 weight and it was great for big jumps. I believe we went down to 60 weight. Thank you for watching
I just got a 2wd stampede because I wanted my 8 year old to be able to drive and practice, too. Eventually I'm going to get one of these nicer models. I've been eyeballing the maxx and the sledge. This has been very informative. I'll be curious to hear more of your thoughts on the sledge as they come!
I recently saw a video with a guy saying to use pure silicone lubricant spray on all the moving parts to help clean and protect them. He said since it's "dry," it doesn't attract dirt, dust, and stuff and helps add a little extra protection against rust. Would you guys agree with that as a preventative maintenance thing, or is it really not necessary in your experience?
Just got the Maxx about five days ago and broke the rear left driveshaft. The other shafts are holding on pretty good without issues. I don't do jumps just scale driving. It's frustrating. I've had the truck for a week and I can't enjoy it. Three broken shafts within 10 minutes of consolidated runtime. The inner hub bearing barely rolling with clicking sound. Please advise. Thank you.
Did you run the Maxx in water prior to breaking the axles? Worn or damaged wheel bearing will take out axles. Don’t use oversized tires, they stress the axles. Where did the axles break at?
Just got a Maxx (for myself) and a 1/16 e-revo for my 10 year old. Thanks for the help in my decisions!
That’s awesome, hope you guys enjoy them as much as we do.

Thank you for watching, and we couldn’t agree more. Maxx is just so tough and reliable.

What was it like with 100wt oil ?
It was actually great, it really helped absorb the big jumps. But it’s way too stiff for racing, I’d recommend 60W for racing on a dirt track.
Wow what a very expensive weekend hobby, you need a full time job to race the nitro's as well.
Very true, but we’ll worth the time spent with family.
