Airbus A320 impressive rapid takeoff @ maximum thrust from Lviv Airport!

- Be the guest in the cockpit of a nearly empty Airbus A320 taking off at only 51.000 kg takeoff mass with maximum takeoff thrust of 2 x 27.000 lbs from Lviv's runway 31 (UKLL / LWO)in the Ukraine.
You would need a very capable sportscar to beat this acceleration, and remember:
It's not a fighter aircraft but a normal passenger airplane, normally seating around 180 passengers.

my left ear enjoyed this very much
must have felt like a fighter jet with that load
Ahhh the sound of those engines
Why did you guys decide to use MAN/TOGA for takeoff instead of FLEX? :)
Weather and all looks very nice :)
If I recall correctly it had been an intersection takeoff to save time, so the higher thrust setting was required for the shortened runway.
Thanks for this!
Empty plane + MAN TOGA = space shuttle climb rate :D
Very cool footage, I am spotter from UKLL, and was taking photos at this moment)
Surely there is no sports car that can match the A320s acceleration?! An F1 car maybe but not a commercial sports car.
I am not sure about that, probably the top-notch Ferrari or Lamborghini can at least at lower speeds below 200km/h.
But then the Airbus offers more comfort and lifts off the ground..
Yeah you're probably right. I'm too lazy to actually look at the numbers lol.
actually multiple sport cars can match it
Audi R8 V10, 911 Turbo, Lambo Huracan and likeabouts will do 0-200 in around 10 seconds, so pretty comparable. F1 is a totaly different league, they only need around 5 seconds or so :) the airbus will catch up quickly and accelerate away quickly above that speed though.
And to think guys, I study engineering...what a waste of 3 years that was hahaha
When using TO/GA , it’s necessary put some flex temp on mcdu or not ? 😬🤔
No, there's no reason why.
Supercar acceleration territory!
Dankeschön und frohe Weihnachten! What is the max climb rate for A320?
I have seen around 5000 feet/min with constant speed.
Trading in speed for climb rate will give you even higher rate, my best was 12.000 feet/min all well within aircraft and airline limits. What you see in airshows is not within normal procedures.
AirplaneTVcom 12.000 feet/min is absolutely insane! :O
5100 FPM! OMG
What was the speed target for srs? I can't see V2 on speed scale!
122 knots as indicated in digits and by the magenta triangle..
Why land when the plane is going up in the air again?😎😂😂😂
Was it empty?
yes, nearly empty.

Give me 15 acres and I'll turn this rig around
Sehr witziges Video.... Auf die Flex-Temp. hat man wohl just for fun verzichtet? Feines Ding! 👍

You must look the GS indicator and not the airspeed....Because the GS is the real speed that planes moves through the ground...For example when the airspeed indicator shows 120knots the real speed of the plane is 106 knots...But still very impessive for a 51 ton plane.Performance figures: 0 to 200km/h in 14 to 15 sec!!!! and 0 to 265 km/h in about 20 sec!!! and 0 to 300km/h under 30seconds.....
The GS is derived from the IRS and GPS, so it lacks behind a bit. The headwind component was less then four knots so you can see what I mean.
Rotate at 120 kts.. nice.. :D
that looks like a lot af fun
Stunning video mate!
