I remember when I worked body & paint years ago, we had a static electricity problem where we lived. To reduce the amount of dust being attracted to the car we actually needed to pound a ground rod into the floor inside of the spray booth and ran a jumper cable from the grounding rod to the frame of the car.

Yes sir I’ve heard of that and people using a chain over the axle to the floor.

What’s the most flammable paint type like is clear coat more flammable then say single stage?

I'm going to try the carpet trick I always wet the floor before I paint but if I'm doing a job on a really hot day it usually dries before I'm through painting

Yup and it can rust out a metal booth. Water also can splash up on the car from hose flopping over

You Should be able to hook up a wireless remote to your paint booth, I hooked one up to my 220 V dust collector

It really does help
