Ever since I started using littileextra coconnionn shampoo and hair conditioner, I've noticed a good reduction in hair fall. My hair feels softer and looks shinier. When I used other shampoos there was more hair fall. Moreover, I've started using a scalp massager and I think is also contributing to reducing hair fall.
I recently tried the Cocooonionn Hairfall Control Shampoo. I’ve noticed my hair is healthier and I don’t see any more hair all around my place now. It’s sulfate-free yet it lathers remarkably well, with just a small amount needed and it cleanses your scalp thoroughly. It has a pleasant scent while providing a healthy shine. I highly recommend it for people who are looking for hair fall control.
@@CurlyChemistry If we’re having issues with plastic around the world, why aren’t we using glass or another alternative to hold these products? I figured you’d know more about this.
Protein caused my breakage last year all my hair was falling out till I realised it was a Shea moisture product with protein in it. Recently it’s been breaking off and falling out too the ends are so thin, I have so many short pieces, don’t use heat or dye my hair, have tried moisturising but also wonder because my hairs so thin especially now if I’m moisturising too much
Try washing your hair every two weeks. Use moisturizing shampoo with a light protein deep conditioner. Don't braid her but twist it and tuck your ends. Don't be afraid to clip "all" the split ends. Do oil hair and scalp every two to three days in the cold months.
@@oso2935 curl enhancing smoothie, did wonders for my curls at first till I realised it was falling out because of that, got protein overload because it’s a leave in, I personally think leave in products of products you use everyday shouldn’t have protein in & shea moisture add it to everything, it’s so easy to get protein overload like that & my hair hasn’t recovered yet, the ends are so thin, most of my hair is short pieces making my curls look frizzy from where it’s broken off
I just use Redken extreme and extreme lengths. Started out with extreme now the damage is dealt with so I moved on to extreme lengths it pretty much covers most of what you said in this video. Excellent product and even though it is expensive it does last quite a bit of time especially if you’re only washing your hair once a week. My set last me about five months until I had to buy a new one.
Yes Noone addresses this problem. Which is why most Curly hair breaks because it's soft! I've always had soft hair. (to the point way back in the 80s my hair would not curl after shampooing)
Water is moisture. After you shampoo and condition your hair water is evaporating from your hair. On average water will evaporate from your hair every 72 hours (3 days). You just need to shampoo and condition your hair more often. The moment you feel your hair becoming dry then you need to shampoo your hair the day before that. So if your hair starts to fell dry by day 5 then you need to shampoo and condition on day 4. You don’t need a harsh shampoo either. Hairrules has a cleansing cream that does not suds up, but works as a shampoo for Afro texture hair. New wash from Hairstory is also a popular, but pricey option. I am currently using Oyin Handmade Mint Ginger Cleansing co-wash. This works well for me because I don’t use oils or creams in my hair. If you use heavy oils and creams then these types of cleansers may not be enough for you. I shampoo, condition and use Pureology leave in spray or Kinky Curly Knot Today. I blow dry my hair half the time and my hair is in good health. And I use protein free products. Good luck to you all.
Hey, thanks for the tips Can i shampoo, condition and deep condition my hair in twists and rinse in twists? (Ie not unplait the twists at any point?) Or do I need to unplait the twists at some point in this process? This is one thing I’d really appreciate clarity on, thank you
I've done this before many ways depending on how my twists are installed. 1. If they are braided at the roots and then twisted, it's alright to shampoo your scalp per usual without much risk of tangling at the roots. 2. If the hair is twisted from root to tip, your hair can become matted as a result. In this case, I would shampoo rinse with a bucket for 10 minutes in a bathtub to avoid tangles. Basically, I lightly scrub my scalp while pouring diluted shampoo water over my hair repeatedly. After that, I dump the dirty water and do a final rinse with clean water. Then, condition as usual. Depending how thick your twists are, they might not receive the same amount of conditioning in the center. Also, you have to take out the twists a week, maybe two after washing to avoid problems. Good luck!
My hair gets hard and stiff from protein treatments. I don't understand; I have HP hair and rarely do these treatments, but sometimes I think it can help my growth but then every time I do it it sets me back!
I do a light protein treatment once a month or when the seasons change. Or if you see a lot of hair fall then use a regular protein treatment every week for a month and just go from there.
If you have low-porosity hair, throw a ton of moisture at it before a protein treatment. Only if your hair is mushy or too elastic and stretchy. Start with a light protein like the Aphogee Green Tea. to see how your hair responds before moving on to the conditioner and the heavy strong protein. Stay away from Aphogee 2 step with low porosity hair unless you have heat or chemical damage. colour or relaxer.
I know my comment is late but I’m new to your channel, these twists you have are beautiful. Can you tell me what hair that is or what the style is called. Thank you
i think i can answer this, just be kind to it, leave it in its most natural state and don't do things of high manipulation to the hair (high manipulation: slick backs, most sleeking hairstyles) rather just wear it down.
I know your young but do you know methods to use to help with hair loss when dealing with age related hormones, menopause, possible thyroid or liver issues and or gut issues. I'm working on something's but it's still very much an issue even when your doing most things rite so if there are any tips you can share I would greatly appreciate it because in a min I'll look like Tales From the Crip🤦🏽😥😓
Can you help me understand something. I am natural and I don’t not use heat or blow dry. I slept with a satin scarf, in fact I wear my satin scarf all day and ever day if I have nowhere to go. I do not comb or brush my hair, I finger detangle. However I’ve notice a few strands breaking when I detangle. Less then 29 strands for my whole head and I have thick curly hair. I know that this is not extreme, but I’d like to know if this is normal? Thanks
If it long strands, it's just shedding. If it short strands that is breakage. Not good. You need protein and moisture balance. Trying bonding treatments before shampoo. And try using sulfate free shampoos because our africab hair doesn't like sulfates. Sulfate in our hair causes breakage and split ends.
My hair won’t stop breaking off after using a color shampoo all over it 😢I used way too much apparently. My hair has been shedding for a while but now it’s breaking. I’ve done a protein treatment but not sure what else I can do besides that. I don’t use any heat on my hair, and I mostly keep it in a ponytail with leave in conditioner. I’ve been oiling my scalp more. I may have really damaged my hair this time.
no more ponytails for sure, wear it down and leave it alone. maybe incorporate more moisturizing butters or something thicker that can work with your hair type!
tons and tons of moisture. More moisture. I moisturize my hair twice a day but I have high porosity hair. I use a moisturising deep condtioner ( no or low protein) every week. how you detangle also can cause breakage. I use seamless combs and the wet tangle teezer for fine and fragile hair. When i detangle, I put my hair in 20 sectioning clips and then spray each section with a leave in detangler, use the seamless comb or tangle teezer and then twist that section.
Question: after losing my mother, and taking care of my father, I neglected my hair for almost 6 months, so when I de tangled it, it was locked and it kind of lost my mind. I began to pull at it and break it. How can I recover from this? Any thoughts from anyone would be greatly appreciated
I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m experiencing something similar. I have had lab work done and I’m under a dermatologist care. My hair texture changed and has locked up due to Telogen Effluvium. I’m experiencing. I have been washing my hair with a sulfate free shampoo and adding conditioner to my hair and allowing it to sit under a plastic cap. I then take a wet brush and under the shower water detangle from the ends. I work in small sections. I use it’s a 10 leave in spray and keep it stretched in 2 braids. I have lost hair and am continuing to loose hair. My dr recommend k18 leave in treatment. It’s pricey. I tried it a couple days ago and it made a slight difference. I know it will take several treatments. I hope you find a solution for your hair. Telogen Effluvium can be brought on by a stressful event. Losing a parent and being a caregiver is very stressful. I wish you the best.
Great tip about the moisture, but I don’t know why, every time I’ve tried to deep condition, a lot of my hair falls out, regular conditioner is fine, but any deep conditioner, regardless of brand makes my hair fall, couldn’t find anything on google about this, anyone ever experience this?
Do you try to detangle with deep conditioner? yeah don't detangle with deep condtioner. Most do not have enough slip. Does the deep condtioner have protein in it? you can go to a salon to speak to a professional stylist.
