Lol, You are so right That grocery store bag served many purposes. Walmart is supposed to be starting to charge for plastic bags next year People better save their bags and reuse them like people do at Aldi's
@MLynette Pinky Here in Chicago, we've been paying 7 cent for bags for a few years now. Some stores gave us free reusable bags but i tend to forget them 😫
Hey Linwood. I have the following questions. I am a middle aged woman who is severely allergic to hair dye but I hate grey hair. I use Henna & Indigo by Henna Sooq to dye my very high porosity hair. Is it okay to use a protein treatment 1-2 weeks after using Henna or will it cause damage? Also, what can I do to thicken my hair? Can I use Olaplex #0 & #3 on my Henna’d hair? Please advise. Menopause is kicking my butt.
Am a (retired) licensed cosmetologist. You break it down in a way that makes me feel confident about whatever I want to do with my hair. Linwood, if you were my instructor back in the day, sheesh!! There would have been so many more happy customers. Your students and YT audience are set up for the hair of their wildest dreams with your coaching. Thank you!!!
Shampoo hair first - rinse - conditioner in - plastic bag or shower cap - damp towel - put in microwave & wrap around head for 20 mins - cool down for 10 mins rinse out in cool water- find a restorative deep conditioner - deep condition every month to month & half - thank you so much
In case you carry out these steps, it will help control hair fall, just like it helped me. Keep your scalp fresh by cleansing it regularly. Use a gentle shampoo. Make sure to get enough sleep every night. Wash your hair 2-3 times per week with litttllextra cocoonnnion shampoo. Apply some oil to your hair 2-3 times a week. After cleansing your hair, lightly pat it dry with a soft towel.
I’ve been using this cooconnion hair oil from liittlexttra for over 6 months and have got another one. The oil greatly cut down the amount of hair I lose.
I so glad I came across your vids. No dissing other stylists, no dissing what is trending. Pure Straightforward information and to the point. Plus it helps that you are focussing on what we should do not what we are doing wrong. Some influencers are so hell bent on what we're doing wrong without telling us what we SHOULD be doing instead. This hair sermon was right on point, sprinkled with humor as usually🤗. You answered so many of my questions regarding conditioners, moisturizers, etc..and its uses. Continue to let your light shine; you provide a valuable service!! God Bless🙏 Walmart is my bag of choice🤗
Yay! I'm so glad it benefitted you! LOL I certainly have more Walmart bags, but when I deep condition with a target bag, I do it with my pinky extended, because I feel boughie! 😂
Very informative! I never thought to wait 10 min after the heat, I’ve always done a deep dive straight to the cool water. I’m definitely going to let my hair cool a little before rinsing next time. My high porosity hair thanks you! Thanks for the great video!
linwood, thank you for making hair education so accessible, especially that most of us are not straight haired and our average hairstylist is not exactly knowledgeable when it comes to curly or wavy hair. I grew up basically with my hair super frizzy and and dry (my mom used to dry brush it and it was sooooooooo bad and it hurts like hell 💀💀) and now it's hydrated and popping thanks to you and the curly hair community

I've watched a few of his videos and he's added his wife in his videos, he's awesome. I wish he was my teacher. You have saved my hair from me doing something drastically wrong, like highlights 2 months later getting a relaxer. I had appointment scheduled and I watched your video 25 mistakes you can do to hair. Whew! Thank thank you for doing that video. Now my hair is long and thick, but continues to fall out by the strand after washing and conditioning. It was coming out before relaxer, so I’m lost and not sure what to do NOW, HELP PLEASE.
I'm laughing out loud about the grocery bags! I had granddaughters and myself and there was a time when if I bought the right shampoos and conditioners, there wasn't anything left for the "nice looking" caps. There were always bags, though! We had to take turns under the dryer but we made it work-even after the fussing (and me cussing, in my head, of course!) They were and still are my shining stars, rich or poor! Love you, Linwood, for being an excellent teacher and for being real! Happy Holidays to you and your family! 🎄

Yessss please help .....Do you have a video about MOISTURIZING? And with me having low porosity hair any creams you suggest? Thank You luv u byeeeeee..
For lower porosity, use liquids, or spray creams (the ion moisture miracle spray at Sallys is wonderful) I do have a moisturizing vid! Here you go: ruclips.net/video/ksQoDkQ_h-k/видео.html

Hi Linwood! My favorite hair expert. And it’s always a joy to see you. Thanks for this because this is a very bad dry spell for me 😭, I also have dry scalp 😢
Hi Linwood...thank you for this great tutorial......for my HP hair I deep condition weekly with a moisture mask and I use the aphogee 2 minute reconstructor every 4-6 weeks...I definitely won't use liquid protein. I've retained 16" of hair and will implement your tips...Thx boo
You are awesome. Your knowledge and advice is so helpful. I already see improvements to my hair by following your tips. Thank you for providing real hair advice to your viewers.
You put me on to all the hair products you mention on your chanel. They are all bomb! Glad to see you are doing good 🧡 Gone to deep condition now. Ok. Byeee.
You're an amazing teacher. You answered so many questions in this one video. I love the way you break things down. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us
Liquid proteins are much stronger than cream ones. If your moisture balance is high, then protein is no big deal, it’s when your moisture balance is off that it’s dangerous. If your moisture balance is low and you are using protein, it makes the hair hard and brittle
😭washed my hair at 1am today and couldn’t imagine moisturising and styling so I did an overnight deep conditioning mask (which I usually avoid). Was just about to pop in the shower to rinse it off with warm water and then I saw this video. Now waiting 10 minutes. And subscribing to your channel. Thank you.
I’m so glad I came across your channel. I’ve previewed many hair channels, and you by far start right in with giving the “do’s and don’ts” of your hair and experiences you may be encountering. They all fit my script! You explain it so well to where I can clearly see some of my mistakes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
This has been very helpful, thank you so much for this information. I recently found out I have high porosity hair and I've been doing everything wrong until now 😅
I can say that out of all the channels I follow your eldest daughter has hair closest to mine. My hair is also high porosity and medium to high density. It gets dry so quickly especially living in a hot humid country. (When I lived in cold London my hair actually kept moisture for longer.) I definitely have to step up my deep conditoning and my moisture routine especially as i recently got highlights which will make my hair lose moisture even more. I had colour in my hair years ago but i used products with silicones and also grease so my hair was very healthy, and retained moisture.
This is an on-time video. My daughters have low porosity hair. Water sits on their head like little beads. I keep their hair braided in cornrows. The popular brands (shine and jam) looks great for 5 minutes, but then dries their hair out and leaves it fuzzy and ashen. Their styles don't last long. Any suggestions on the type/ brand of hair gel I should use on their natural hair?
For LP hair I don’t usually use gels, they tend to flake quite a bit. Usually I’ll do foaming wrap or setting lotion, if I have to use a gel for the edges or something I use it very sparingly.
@GlamFam Hair & Beauty gotcha, thanks so much! I wish I could move back to Central Texas so that I can bother you all the time 🥰 j.k. I'm learning a lot; appreciate you much 👍🏾☺️

@@GetGlamFam Thank You so much....
@@simpleme5719 my pleasure 😊🙏🏽
Enjoy your videos, I come back to them when need information. Different conditions at different times. Coming out of a wig after a year. Now my hair is so dry when the air hits it. More conditioner
Excellent video Linwood. Thank you!!! Please do a video on hair changes (thinning shedding) that comes with menopause and what we can do to retain our strands. We appreciate you and all that you do! 👍🏽😊
Will do, thanks so much for watching and for commenting!
@@GetGlamFam You’re most welcome!!!
I second this request... the shedding is intense!!😂
LOVE the way you teach. So straight to the point while entertaining at the same time 💕
Hi Linwood! My favorite hair expert. And it’s always a joy to see you. Thanks for this because this is a very bad dry spell for me 😭, I also have dry scalp 😢
My absolute pleasure! I hope this video was a massive help!
Your skin is radiant!
So helpful, as always!!! 🙂
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
You are very thorough. You don't know how much I appreciate this. Thank you
Hi Linwood...thank you for this great tutorial......for my HP hair I deep condition weekly with a moisture mask and I use the aphogee 2 minute reconstructor every 4-6 weeks...I definitely won't use liquid protein. I've retained 16" of hair and will implement your tips...Thx boo
Such a pleasure! Sounds like a great routine!
Ok. Byeee.
Thanks so much! I'm so happy I could help!
You're an amazing teacher. You answered so many questions in this one video. I love the way you break things down. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us
I use aphogee 2step protein at least twice a year. Why do you not recommend liquid protein? Which protein product do u recommend?
Liquid proteins are much stronger than cream ones. If your moisture balance is high, then protein is no big deal, it’s when your moisture balance is off that it’s dangerous. If your moisture balance is low and you are using protein, it makes the hair hard and brittle
@@GetGlamFam thank you
😭washed my hair at 1am today and couldn’t imagine moisturising and styling so I did an overnight deep conditioning mask (which I usually avoid). Was just about to pop in the shower to rinse it off with warm water and then I saw this video. Now waiting 10 minutes. And subscribing to your channel. Thank you.
Hey, Linwood, heeeeyyyyy!
Question - can we deep condition and do protein at the same time?
You can deep condition with moisture, protein, or mix the two and do both at once 😊🙏🏽
@GetGlamFam Thank you. My daughter and I are both way overdue I'm sure. I honestly can't say last time we've had either. 🫣
It happens! I’m just like that myself sometimes
I recently found out I have high porosity hair and I've been doing everything wrong until now 😅
I’m so glad I could help fam! Thanks for watching and I hope your hair is now thriving! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
4:46 I don't know why but "wrap your head around that towel" absolutely cracked me up. 😂😂
I'm learning a lot; appreciate you much 👍🏾☺️
😂😂 such a pleasure! I’m so glad the videos are helping!
You broke this down in a way I understand thanks so much glad I came across your channel

Hey fam! ❤❤
I have high porosity hair and the one step I was missing was the "cool-down" period. OOPS. That tip is much appreciated. Thanks for sharing.
I'm a new subscriber, you hooked me with the Target bag for deep conditioning! I use a bag, too!🎯

I needed this video so bad , Because I don’t know how to deep condition my 4c hair but this really helped me to understand what to do.
