Hey guys, I’ll have a full review and budget comparison and top recommendation for gaming this weekend. Just wanted to post this video early, because the qkz is legitimately insane for $20. The features are the 7hz zero, truthear zero, and qkz x hbb. Will do a full blown analysis and comparison for val and apex by hopefully Saturday
gonna wait for the comparison. i have 7hz zero 😁
Looking forward for it
Hi i really enjoy your content on IEM / Headphone with your help i got for myself Byerdynamic DT 900 Pro X and HarmonDynamic Zeus they are both awesome for gaming and just for everyday use. Are you planing to test "SeeAudio Yume / Yume Midnight" ?
@@aokinayo6107 possibly!
looking forward to it! I have 7hz zero so I wanna know what you think about it vs this QKZ at least.
Sounds great, i'll be coping a pair of these once they are available in my local retailers. Thanks for the review. I hope listening to regular youtube videos and watching movies are just as enjoyable
Was waiting for a review on these and you were really quick, thanks.
3 planars in the budget range launched this week, Kz, moon drop, and the celest gumiho, would LOVE for you to dive into those 3 for gaming
Driving these with a Fulla 3, my lord man. Best $20 purchase of my life. Thanks bro.
i watch your recommendation video and buy these iem for apex. shocked by how amazing sound quality for the price. and not just for gaming but music too. thankyou for reviewing this insane iem
Ty
I got both the Truthear x Crinacle Zero and now the QKZ x HBB (just delivered)
I can say now that my older Zeros have a noticeable difference in footsteps and everything in apex, they sound better than the QKZ x HBB but I like the build quality more on the QKZ x HBB
Nice Review fresh. Compared to HD560s for cs go which one would you choose? Thanks
This looks almost identical to the Kz zs10 👀. Excellent review, btw. Thank you!
just ordered this on sale for $12. was looking for an IEM to main for gaming/general pc use and will just use my 3 year old kz zsn pro, which was also my first iem on my phone. thanks for the review!
from where did u got it for $12?
Damn what a review. Very down to ground providing practical examples with words we can relate with.
Aha glad I could help
Hi Fresh,i just ordered this 20€ banger just because wanted to try this budget iem,i watched also your truthear crin zero after your fantastic review,i know they are little better than this qkz x hbb but still seem pretty good, just wanted to try this before going to the crin zero and thats why i wanted to ask you how is the soundstage with this QKZ x HBB for gaming ? Thank you if you reply to this
Nice awesome review as always. Would you recommend getting the x2 or lamzu atlantis when I already own the superlight gpx?
Man i love these. i can tell exactly where people are in valorant. better than the other two budget iems i bought. edx ultra, and cca fla.
Let’s goooooo!
Hi Fresh, can i ask .. if i use qkz hbb in my desktop pc will this iem perform like you said on this video.even i don't have a dac/amp like yours??
For games would you indicate qkz x hbb or 7hz? for campaign and fps games
Hey could the TINHIFI T2 be featured on the budget IEM series?
How would you compare these to moondrop snow editions? Apex and Valorant wise.
Hey Fresh do you ever tweak things in EQ for headphones/IEMs that have issues like you described with this pair? Wondering if using a low shelf filter to drop the bass a bit would help these IEMs shine.
It could. But no, I usually never eq
which one is better qkz x hbb or 7hz salnotes zero for gaming and footsteep audio
Could u buy or get the QKZ x HBB Khan?
QKZ x HBB is 19.99 and QKZ x HBB Khan is 39.99 it's double the price, but it increase quality? the cable? the sound? maybe better gaming experience?
How does these pan out in building fights especially in zip buildings with vertical footsteps
Do this earphone good for apex? And what about its mic?
Are QDC plugs compatible with those IEMs?
i will get a pair of these during 11.11 since I trust your judgement for gaming stuff, this is not my tuning preference (7hz zero is) but I'm down to experiment with eq and how it affects the experience
@S͡e͡r͡o͡n͡o͡p͡h͡i͡x͡ tuning wise, it has so much more bass, too much for my preference, I have not tested it in games yet
which one is better qkz x hbb or 7hz salnotes zero for gaming and footsteep audio
@@kquaki2740 I gave the qkz x hbb to my dad because I hated how they sound so idk
Bought this for apex and its really good better than any other iem ive tried so far. Thank you for recommending!
Glad you enjoy it!
Have you tried the 7hz zero
Can you test some earphones?
It’s really uncomfortable for me and many others to weak iems with the hook
nice review as always! currently looking to replace my arias so i'll take your recommendations into consideration if u have any
i also have arias and was wondering if the footstep and just sound placing is superior compared to the arias.
Can i use the standard cable they give me? Cba to buy a new cable
What are good ear tips to use with these?
is there any bluetooth adapter suitable for this IEM?
How about moondrop chu ii ? It’s recommended for play valorant ?
watch your vid using qkz hbb. yeah this set is awesome for gaming, that bass slam, and smoothness in treble make this also good for competitive game. the bass bleed still tolerable though, not like bloating and overun the mids.
Agreed! In some song tracks with constant thump the bleed can occur but in gaming and most tracks no issue at all! Only noticed in val when spamming vandal
@@FreshReviewsYT which you prefer using for gaming on daily basis and long play, headphone or iem?
do these differ from the qkz x hbb khan?
Have collected quite a few chifi IEMs over the years (CCA CRA, Chu, KZ CRN [lol], Final E500 etc) but none of them have really impressed me in gaming specifically. Recently it's been awfully hot here in Finland though, so my open backs with brainwavz pads have been killing me (even though they're the perforated ones!)
Haven't been keeping up with the IEM market much, but these seem to be what I've been looking for. My other choice was the Simgot EM6L's but I figured blind buying these for around 19 dollars new was more reasonable than the Simgots which are like 80usd used, 120usd new.
Nice iem review bro..keep it up
QKZ x HBB and KZ Castor, which one is better?
Did the budget option comparison vid ever drop? Was looking for it and wasn’t able to find it.
Not yet. Got tied up with the move
Would u recommend this more than the Aria for valorant? was planning to just directly connect the iems to the motherboard since i dont have anything the appropriately drive the iems
Yes I prefer them more than the aria and they’re a fraction of the price. The aria has poor separation.
Does the cable really makes that much of a difference? 🤔
How are these for Call of Duty?
Appreciate it!
im sold. already bought this based on your review lol. now its on its way
When you said only $19.99 I was like ok now you have got my attention. I'm Australian so they would probably be closer to double that price but that's still super cheap for a solid gaming iem.
$29.99 on Amazon
@@utubeb14 Already bought them but thanks.
Do i need to get a DAC amp for the qkz x hbb? Does it improve sound quality? If so, is the fiio k3 a good option?
All depends what you’re using to drive them. I find on board audio to be bleh
Great review as always. Question I am looking to get into IEMs and I am more so looking in the budget area. Which would you recommend this one that you reviewed , Crinacle Zero, or the Moondrop Aria ? Ideally I am looking to stay under 100. Thanks Fresh keep the content rolling.
Zero over aria for gaming 100%
@@FreshReviewsYT Thanks for the reply! Not gonna lie every time I see one of your videos my wallet starts shaking haha. I saw a couple of your recent videos with the RAPTGO HOOK-X and I am very tempted to go all out on them. I currently use a Wireless headset. Last question if I decide to go all out with the RAPTGO HOOK-X do I need an audio interface or any other additional equipment? At the moment I don't have anything else and would use the Onboard Audio on my Motherboard X570 (Not Ideal I Know). Would this be an issue or would it be ok? Thanks again you are awesome!
Hey Fresh Reviews, would you say that the Truthear x Crinacle are worth the 30€ uplift for gaming and listening to music etc?
Will do a full comparison review this weekend
@@FreshReviewsYT Alright, thank you man!
hey man! which is better at pinpointing exact player location for valorant. qkz x hbb or tanchjim ola?
qkz x hbb for sure.
Have you tried CCA CRA+, people said CRA+ have better imagine and soundstage than this hbb. What do you thing?
Have not tried them yet
As I'm on very limited budget and want to try out iems for the first time, Moondrop Chu or Qkz x HBB , which one will be good for gaming?
Hbb
maybe i got a used set but i didnt get foam tips
Fresh I think you and I have similar hand size and am having trouble choosing between buying the Viper V2 or Lamzu Atlantis, which do you prefer?
i like the atlantis more than the viper v2 tbh
@@FreshReviewsYT ur the best
Would you say that it is also a good recommendation for watching movies? Please could you also address this aspect in your comparative test between QKZ X HBB, Truthear Zero and 7hz Zero (I already have this one, btw)? I wanna know which one is more immersive for that. I subscribed to your channel.
Will have the full comparison breakdown this weekend
@@FreshReviewsYT I need this too :)
which one is better qkz x hbb or 7hz salnotes zero for gaming and footsteep audio
is it worth it if i change from kz zsn pro x to qkz hbb? I prefer a more boomy and deep bass
Worth it!
Hello, FreshReviews!
I finally decided to purchase a new IEM, the QKZ x HBB, thanks to your videos. it's good for its price, but I noticed when I played Valorant, the audio output is like completely opposite, for example, the footsteps are coming from the left side of the map, but I am hearing it on the right bud of my IEM. I never had this issue with my previous earphones (JBL Quantum 50), so I'm not sure why this is occurring. it's working properly when listening to music and watching videos, the issue only occurs when playing.
already tried configuring/resetting my settings in valorant, and checking the properties of the IEM in the control panel, but the issue is still there. I'm only using my laptop to play. i appreciate any help! thank you!
Make sure the IEM cable is plugged into the correct side.
hi bro, i am looking to upgrade the cable for qkz x hbb. Can you suggest some samples?
Can check out the cable in the description. It’s great, just make sure you get the right connection layout
Can you compare these with the CCA CRA that are also quite recomended in this price range
Yes please
i hv both. qkz hbb have more bass and mids more forward compared to cra. vocal have more body, compared to cra imo lil bit on the thin side. cra have more clarity, but qkz hbb treble less fatiguing, less sharp, less sibilance, more smooth.
@@JC_88_88 thanks man! i did try de cra's a few weeks ago and did like them especially the bass and mids, highs were a bit fatiging in some songs especially the T and S region, for what you tell me i would buy one qkz to try, seems like what i was missing with the cra
@@Crusher91 if you looking for iem that bassy & less fatiguing/sibilant, this could be what you're looking for. 7hz zero also a great option coz the tune its more balance. but tbh, 7hz zero low in my opinion kinda boring, too analytical, too serious, really for enthusiasts. qkz hbb way more fun sounding.
Ordered a pair based on your review and i'm glad i did, these are amazing for the price!
You mention they come with foam tips as well?
Mines only came with silicon tips (3 sizes in black and 3 in white)
how good is the foot step audio? I feel like im in a hunt to find good headphones with this lol.
@@og_bl6ckgaming602 Honestly, haven't been using them for competitive gaming at all, mainly for music.
For gaming (been playing warzone 2.0 mostly) i've been switching between the Truthear zero's, Arctis 7x when i need wireless and opened back headphones when my daughter is sleeping and i need to be on alert in case she wakes up.
I tend to still prefer my opened back headphones (Isk HF2010 modded with detachable cable and with a V-moda boom pro mic) over anything else because of the sound stage and how more natural and clear everything sounds.
But if footsteps are your only priority i believe you can ear them louder with closed back's or iem's.
But the thing with this hobby/obsession is that you are never fully satisfied🤣
I am not fully convinced with Iem's (confort problems) and now i'm on the hunt for new opened back's (maybe the Beyerdynamic Tygr 300r or the DT900X) and also want to try planar magnetic drivers (Very curious about the new Audeze Maxwell)
@@Patife_PT I have the beyerdynamic 990 Pros with the Sound Blaster G6 amp currently lol.
@@og_bl6ckgaming602 Not satisfied? I guess when we start searching for headphones, we always think there is something better elsewere.
what do you prefer between this and tangzu warner jade green and truthear crincale zero red? mainly for apex valo and some music time
bro truthear crincale is way better. try to get Blue, if you can't just get the red one. Both are better than tangzu waner
would you put these higher than the crin zeros for budget option?
It depends really. If you’re ok with the bass punch and bit of bass bleed yea
I’m looking for an iem specifically for apex legends on console which one do u recommend more QKZ x HBB or TruthEar Zero?
You could always try the qkz with the mic to see how it sounds
@@FreshReviewsYT I don’t really mind a mic because I use one externally just wondering about overall experience
Do you think these are better than the moondrop arias snow edition?
Yes.
on the truthear zeros what ear tips do you use?
Default white silicone
Great video! I’m interested in getting those for myself now. But I’ll wait until your weekend update for budget iems.
I have a spreadsheet of someone who tested a bunch of iems for gaming. If you want to see it let me know. I’ll post it below this comment. You can choose to delete the link right afterwards.
Edit: Also would love to see a review on the Dunu Titan S. I wonder if it’s as good as the other Dunu’s?
i’d love to see this list
Hello! Where is the list?

@@profound369 I did and so far it servces me quite nicely
Good content as always , but beside that can i ask what is your sens in apex and valorant?
2.4 400 dpi on apex. I THINK I’m on .6 400 in val if I remember correctly
@@FreshReviewsYT thanks, keep up the good work
I using steel series gg sonar software to reduce the heavy bass....my point is qkz hbb is pretty damn good u guys should try it
Very
How big of a difference is there between these and the Dunu Vulkan? It’s hard to differentiate sometimes due to the large gap in price. Therefore, a $20 set that sounds really good will get hyped up but I’m not sure how close it gets to something like that.
Ok so I currently own both, and the Vulkans have a completely different sound signature, a broader soundstage and more emphasis in the 4-8k hz region. Imaging is superior but vertical audio is about the same, That being said the QKZ HBB is quite amazing for the price and exceptional for music listening. I didn’t feel hindered whatsoever playing apex vs the Vulkan. The vulkans just made it easier to pinpoint sound cues especially when things get hectic in game.
The sense of depth, and spatial awareness is what your paying for in the vulkans, very airy experience but in a good way 👍
@@kimjongpoontv69 thanks for the info. Very helpful.
@@chriscolestock2081 No problem
How do these comapre to the KZ ZS10 pro? Would it be an upgrade to swith to the HBB?
Actually have not tried the kz
@@FreshReviewsYT I heard about them from Optimum Tech. He is not an audiophile like you, but hes using IEMs for gaming (mostly Apex) and after reviewwing some other IEMs he always puts them on the first place when it comes to budget options. After his video I watched some other reviews about them and pretty much everybody agrees that they're great, especially for the price. That's why I wonder if I should maybe make the switch or not.
How do these compare to the 7Hz Salnotes Zero in terms of competitive gaming?
Going to prepare a full comparison review this weekend. So far these beat the 7hz zero for gaming for me
@@FreshReviewsYT Thank you for your response. I'll be looking forward to that upcoming video.

That really depends on your personal taste. Whether you like more boom and energy
7hz zero...? I already bought mine just otw here. I just want to know the comparison with the 2. I Might buy this one in the future.
The 7hz isn’t good for competitive gaming
what is better iem for gaming and music for under 30 dollar (better than qkz x hbb)
I don’t know of one that I’ve tested yet
i hope your list on the budget options gets bigger! not every gamer has 300-1000 bux for an iem!😅 like myself i already have a 560s but getting tired of wearing headphones which is why im interested on getting an iem! i have an earpods but not really that good compared to the 560s.
Not the quantity but the quality !
