I just baught these IEMs some days ago and use them for gaming. Basically I like them soundwise - however I am struggeling with the nozzle size > hurting my ear after some time. Any recommendation how to sort out? Other eartips Or simply other IEMs? If one or the other, any recommendation?
I just got mine today. It basically is the Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusk for 250 $ less in a less beautiful housing. Take away 4-5 db of bass and you got yourself a Blessing 2 (without the dusk) and have an IEF neutral IEM. It looks and feels way cheaper than the Blessing 2 - BECAUSE IT IS. However there's absolutely no issue with its quality. In my opinion, this is the best IEM in the world all things considered (price, performance, comfort). I'll still keep my Blessing 2 because I have gotten emotionally attached to them. But if I had to do a blind comparison, I would not be able to tell the difference.
@@f_society9151 It depends on your priorities. If you like a solid bass, then this is for you. If you like it a tad more neutral, then Aria Snow Edition has a bit less bass, but otherwise a very similar sound signature, while also being way more beautiful and "feel" better (metal case) - but also 30 USD more expensive. If you can handle an EQ and don't care about looks and feel, it's the Truthear X Zero again :-)

Since you made a IEM for every price bracket, would you say that the $100 one is better than the $50, so on and forth? Which IEM is the sweet spot in your opinion since you have had a say in all of them?
Well that graph says that the Zero should be a bit better than that $100 iem. That's what the graph says. Subjectively, it's your ear that will tell the tale.

I was going to buy Etymotic ER2XR for gaming/listening in a slightly noisy environment(open back headphones not cutting it), but now I’ve gone down the Chifi Rabbit hole and I’m tempted to try one of these purportedly high performance cheapo sets.
@@maxpayne69. I bought the Moondrop Chu. However, I was pretty disappointed with them. They are now my earbuds for video conferences at work for the mic. I had some dual driver IEMs back in 2010. One 13mm driver (bass to mids) and one 3mm (highs). hi Crinacle i'm new here, i want you tell you: good intuition! i'm into the hifi diy gear for many years and now the last and ultimate approach to extend a full range speaker is similar to yours: i put an open back dynamic speaker lowther dx3 into a 80 cm horn to reproduce frequency form 280 to 20.000 putting a 6 db cross over before the 2watt amp, and for the bass i use a 30cm altec414 woofer below the 280 hz with another 6 db line level cross over( before the bass amp), now i call it a full range extended and it's my cup of tea. i hate sound of horn compression drivers, to unnatural and also the ba tymbre , i prefer a dynamic speaker into a horn! so i'll give a chance to your new zero and i let you know
These are amazing , i used them for gaming ,fps mostly , I’m not an audiophile expert by any means but i have things like the dt 900 pro x hd560s dunu Vulcan and a lot of other high end headphones and iem, Iam mad these 50$ iem are my favorite 🤣

I would like to see you do a deep dive on what Harman actually is. I know that it’s easy to say “it’s what will be widely preferred by most people,” but there really is so much more to it than that.
I’ve been waiting for a bass heavy iem since my love for the Skull Candy titans. Definitely interested. Cheers to the collab.
Holy crap I never thought I'd hear someone talk about the titans. Those were my favorite buds back in my high school days.

The connector on mine had gone bad within 6 months but I had a new 3.5mm one soldered to it 2 more times to keep it running until finally someone stole it 😢
I ain't gonna lie, the waifu drew my attention to make me want to buy it, the fact that it's $50 and sounds great is what got me hooked to buy it.
Can you tell me how it sounds? I need something lost the donner dobud one I really liked them with custom eq
The donner dobud had a dedicated subwoofer I believe in the driver for the low end, was pretty badass deep sounding powerful but didn't drown out the mids, the vocals at times could seem kind of recessed but they were fun and dynamic sounding to me
Just ordered a pair on impulse together with the Virgo waifu stand. Looking forward to trying them out. The only notable iem I own is the Kato. Let's see how different they'll sound.
Come back with your conclusions please

Was wondering if I was the only one that also got the Virgo stand lol. Feel like these might end up being pretty desired in the future so might as well grab the bonus waifu.
I need to know how it is... I'm in the same position as you. Looking to replace my revonext QT5 LOL
I as well lmao. Wanting to see how it compares to my Blessing 2 and Yume Midnight.
Here’s to the Sub IEM revolution! 🍾
Getting my first IEM. So the low cost is great deal.
Goddamn it, I JUST bought the Timeless, Dioko and Z12 within the last month dude

Similar here. Got Aria Snow Edition, Dioko, and now this damn thing. I also got the UTWS5 a few months ago and ordered iReep 01 (new eartips from Intime). Not to mention I had just come back from a Japan trip and picked up the Intime Sora (Ultra Light Bass), and Intime Miyabi which sadly the MMCX connector fucking broken so....rip
Then we got the Moondrop open back headphones coming out at the end of the month. Oh and the fucking HBB collab IEM which at first I didn't want to get but having grown up in Hawaii, I love the color scheme and theme behind it.
They need to stop releasing more things that look good. I don't have the self control to not get them so I need them to stop making them :[
I just got Samsung buds pro, thinking it was time to move away from IEMS, and I get hit with bunny girl on the box.
I was already onboard when I saw Virgo box for 49,99$ but all this new audio stuff sounds cool too, will definitely purchase it soon!
I don't know why, but I love the "fuck off" at the end of every video. Maybe it's because the mood resonates with me.
(Pun fully intended, as I'm not a coward)
It really keeps me in for every video all the way through
Ah yes....
finally got my hands on Zero today, I'm trying the default then I will try on Red tuning.
So far it's amazing, the fit is great for my ear and the bass just goes....
I just baught these IEMs some days ago and use them for gaming. Basically I like them soundwise - however I am struggeling with the nozzle size > hurting my ear after some time. Any recommendation how to sort out? Other eartips Or simply other IEMs? If one or the other, any recommendation?
Fuck, you got me. I like new startups with plucky attitude. They want to take on the big boys? I'm game. Let's do this shit, Crin.
I can spend max 100$ , do you think is good if I buy this ? Or there are better options ?
@@f_society9151 It depends on your priorities. If you like a solid bass, then this is for you. If you like it a tad more neutral, then Aria Snow Edition has a bit less bass, but otherwise a very similar sound signature, while also being way more beautiful and "feel" better (metal case) - but also 30 USD more expensive.
If you can handle an EQ and don't care about looks and feel, it's the Truthear X Zero again :-)
Awesomesauce Crin....so happy for you and I’ve already ordered mine the minute it went on sale 2am my time lol...and I also ordered the Dioko at the same time that I ordered Zeo’s Z12 when it was released the other night...keep up the good work... :)
I haven't tried a new IEM in a long time because I really don't need any more and I'm done chasing high end stuff, but this concept intrigues me. At this price point it's hard to find a reason to say no, so I'm gonna give them a shot.
Thought the exact same. And they just look stunning as well in my opinion
howd you like them?
@@yungplagueg5963 They're fine for the money, nothing special though, bass response didn't particularly wow me.
@@hurpdurp916so what's better? I was honestly thinking of going more high end and get the 7hz timeless or moondrops but idk yet
Since you made a IEM for every price bracket, would you say that the $100 one is better than the $50, so on and forth? Which IEM is the sweet spot in your opinion since you have had a say in all of them?
Pretty sure he'd say: "buy Dusk"
Well that graph says that the Zero should be a bit better than that $100 iem. That's what the graph says. Subjectively, it's your ear that will tell the tale.
@@VitorMach Yup. Though I bought dusk, also bought the FHE and listened to the rest. FHE and Kato are by far my favorites from his collabs or products he recommends. Dusk is not really worth it, personally. So, I'm excited for these more budget options.

Amazing how Truthear only dropped bangers after this. I got the Truthear Hexa this week and boy... it's a work of art
Would buy but my family sees that packaging I'd have to leave the country
Alright, I bought one. Gonna take 1-2 months to arrive...
EDIT: just got them, that was way faster.
Plugged them in to my Astel and Kern player and......they're great. WAY better than the Dunu DN1000 I was previously using for like half the price.
The bass is, pretty awesome but I was more surprised with the mids and highs, they are so much better, hearing new details in high end recordings.
Thanks Crin!

I trust you and I dont say that lightly. I just bought your headphones. As someone who daily drives hd800's and is no stranger to audio I am very excited!
I wonder… what would Crin make with one of the higher price brackets? Something like, lets say $500, not as much as Dawn but definitely more than Dusk.
I don't know about the $500 price pracket, but he's said on the Headphone show livestream that with an unlmitied budget he would do a multi-DD iem with various size drivers a la the Z1R with a biocellulose driver in the bass.

Should I get these or the Moondrop Chu for my first Chifi experience? I was going to buy Etymotic ER2XR for gaming/listening in a slightly noisy environment(open back headphones not cutting it), but now I’ve gone down the Chifi Rabbit hole and I’m tempted to try one of these purportedly high performance cheapo sets.
Hi! What did you end up with in the end?
@@maxpayne69. I bought the Moondrop Chu. However, I was pretty disappointed with them. They are now my earbuds for video conferences at work for the mic. I ended up realizing that my Razer Opus headphones can be used with ANC turned on with 3.5mm input. I basically only ever used them for air travel before, and now I use them for gaming when the house is too noisy for my open backs.
Maybe you should have tested how clear the sound is.
I bought a pair and sound was so low (like if muffled). Cat broke the cord. I order a new set. Same sound issues.
Sound is NOWHERE near normal speakers or normal gaming headsets.
What am I doing wrong ? Must I install an equalizer or something ? Even at 100 % volume it isnt "very loud" :(
Didn't the Fischer Audio Omega Twins do this like 10 years ago? Hugely underrated for its time, imo
I had some dual driver IEMs back in 2010. One 13mm driver (bass to mids) and one 3mm (highs). The driver was built like those from KEF (with the tweeter in the middle)
The bass was fucking perfect, srsly. I haven't heard this level of bass since then in such a small enclosure....the highs on the other hand....bruh.
Let's just say they were tuned to the "knives in your ears" target. It was literal pain. They were like 60 bucks on Amazon, were made out of aluminum and had the nicest, replaceable cable ever...no tangle on these boys.
I was looking them up recently but couldn't find them.
When this tech gets to the point of 3 way or even 4 way drivers per ear, with 1 being a dedicated subwoofer, this is going to be friggin awesome!
I wish you committed with the tuning and did neutral + sub-bass specifically on this as well
it makes me happy to see how you're handling the collab stuff now after the KZ thing.
i want to get a nice iem later this year under 100$, should i go for the Aria or this though?
been wondering this too
I feel like the world needs alot more triple and quad driver full sized closed back headphones. When amped, those types of headphones always deliver a very nice and authentic surround sound experience while gaming and watching movies. Plus the bass is so ridiculous.
Wonder if Crinacle would like to collab a headphone at some point.
... Mainly since i'm almost sure the competitor of these cost at least $4000.

I bought these earphones recently, and I gotta say, these are amazing, you can hear the extra detail of the track and sound isolation amazing, everything is balanced.
Does it requires amp? Or dac?
@@husainsiddiqui8831 If you have an android phone, you need a decent DAC that supports lossless output but if you have an iPhone you just need a lightning to 3.5mm connector.
No, but you can experiment
The JVC FXZ200 were a similar concept. Great to see it cheaper and more widely available.
Next is a triple dd (if possible) to hit the three main regions and fix the ever standing issue of treble extension for probably under 150 and then ill prob consider any iem out there
Can I change the cable? I'm planning to buy or partner it with tripowin grace cable? Or it will decrease or increase the performance?
Yes you can, I use another cable just for straight 3.5mm jack
I'm really happy with my CRA and lately I was thinking about getting the Arias, either standar or SE. Also I bought the Nekocakes for a friend and they broke in less than a month, which it was very disappointing, I guess Moondrop sometimes has low QC. Thuthear Zero will be then.
yep. these were made for me. Can't wait to mess around with some eq, curious how it'll deal with sub 200 gain, usually cheaper iems it just sound like all other frequencies are lowered rather than raising just the lower ones
hi Crinacle i'm new here, i want you tell you: good intuition! i'm into the hifi diy gear for many years and now the last and ultimate approach to extend a full range speaker is similar to yours: i put an open back dynamic speaker lowther dx3 into a 80 cm horn to reproduce frequency form 280 to 20.000 putting a 6 db cross over before the 2watt amp, and for the bass i use a 30cm altec414 woofer below the 280 hz with another 6 db line level cross over( before the bass amp), now i call it a full range extended and it's my cup of tea. i hate sound of horn compression drivers, to unnatural and also the ba tymbre , i prefer a dynamic speaker into a horn! so i'll give a chance to your new zero and i let you know
Can't wait to build the Crinacle Collection. I'm gonna have to start from the bottom but that just means more to look forward to
These are amazing , i used them for gaming ,fps mostly , I’m not an audiophile expert by any means but i have things like the dt 900 pro x hd560s dunu Vulcan and a lot of other high end headphones and iem, Iam mad these 50$ iem are my favorite 🤣

Isobariks don't push pull. They move in the same direction at the same time and to be truly isobarik the back driver has to work into the same airspace volume behind it as it shares in front of it in the middle chamber that sits behind the first driver.
Theres more than one way to isobaric. Do some research
Just got this IEMs and listening to this video again. Sound quality along with build quality is just outstanding for the price. But as always Harman IEM target isn’t my thing. Why does it drop so quickly below ~40Hz though?
That's because of if not being single DD. Basically they need to either add fancy filters to match exactly Harman in bass(which costs $$$) or tune down power just so they don't overshoot Harman and leave small rollover. Or that is atleast what I think, correct me if I'm wrong.
