Bohdi looks like what bulldogs used to look like, and it's majestic. He is also a big lovable baby that did his very best to be a good boy, and I am proud of him! 😘
From a guy that had one for 14 years you just give up to it, when you go out and just before you do they droll on you,and later someone asks you about it, you just say I was mobbed by a very friendly horse that drooled on me LOL.
Same! He’s so cute but hell no to the drooling. My mother in law has a big dog that drools like that, and they’ve small towels all over the house to wipe his face. Your clothes is still covered when you leave. No thank you.
The first year my husband and I were dating, we got a bull mastiff lab cross, and he was the best dog I will probably ever own. He was scared of everything, but when we had kids he took to them instantly. He would nanny them as infants and eventually became one of our son's therapy dogs. He naturally knew how to help my son, and would know before we did if he was sick. We lost him to cancer at 11, he had a terrible time recovering from the first removal surgery so when it came back we decided not to put him through it. A king of dogs. And yes, he was afraid of baths.
A good dog can become a part of the family so wonderfully - my younger sibling called our dog an extra mom. She was the sweetest little (well, big for a chihuahua, but little overall) chihuahua mix, built like a brick and full of love and fear. Terrified of other dogs, no predatory instincts whatsoever, but she truly adored her human family, and got along quite well with strangers too (as long as they weren't too tall.) Only ever nipped a person once - my sibling was messing with her tail - and she felt so bad about it she hid under the bed. She passed away a few years back, but she lived a long and happy life - by the end she was blind, deaf, and incontinent, but she still loved to sit by the hot air vent in the refrigerator and get pets and warm baths. Just a sweetheart in every way.
I have always adored bullmastiffs! When I was a little, the privately owned Nursery School had one who would hang out on the playground. Tuffy let the preschoolers climb all over her while she laid down and let them basically maul her, while she gently thumped her tail blissfully. Best nanny ever!
One of my neighbours had a Bull Mastiff called Bruno. He was such a sweetie but kept jumping over the fence to get to our side. Trouble was our garden was lower than theirs so he couldn't get back over. Lost count of the number of times I had to lead him back round the front to let him back in through the gate. He never gave me any trouble, just wanted to say hello :)

Somehow the dogs realized we were no threat and sort of just chilled out and went away. I have 2 BullMastiff friends living with me today as an adult. 🥰🥰🥰
Speaking of fear, I am super afraid of dogs and while I don't know if I'm ready to dive face first into surrounding myself with them, watching your videos has helped me understand their body language a lot better which has helped ease the fear a little. Usually I live in a nightmare when I leave my house because everyone lets their giant dogs roam off leash and I don't know what to do around them ever AND I'm afraid so I just stay inside all the time. But I think I'm a little less terrified than before. It also doesn't hurt to see this guy who could probably kill me with a single tackle being more terrified of getting into the bath than I am of him
Don't worry, this is much more accurate to how successful exposure therapy works than just diving in face first. When done right it starts with looking at pictures and then videos of the thing you're scared of and moving fairly slowly. NOT some asshole going "oh, you're scared of spiders? here's my tarantula!!!" So entirely accidentally you're doing it right. Unfortunately it sounds like most of the dog owners in your area aren't very responsible but if you can find one who is then one day when you're more ready you could try meeting their dog in a supervised situation, but that's up to you and only if you're comfortable with the idea. Learning about dog body language is a good idea either way though since it's often easier to be scared of things that are incomprehensible and being able to tell the difference between an aggressive and a friendly dog removes a lot of unpredictability.

He would live in treats but giving him a treat is like feeding smarties or M n M's to an elephant.... Thank you for letting us see Bodie.. Fabulous
He is a well-loved & cared for pup. Giant dog. And relaxed enough to take treats even when he wasn't exactly sure he was keen on what was happening. The look on his face during his bath when getting scrubbed - ahhhhh. Similar look during some of the grooming too. Great video. Would live to see him again ♡♡♡

My neighbor who shared a corner with our yard had one of these gentle giants. Gawd help you if he liked you and wanted to lick your face.
Bodie the sweet boulder-sized love muffin!
The sweetest cutest drooly face ever 💕he was such a good boy 🥺
The fact that you bathed a beast without flinching!!
He's the BIGGEST sweetheart!!! 😊
Bodhi is just a BIG BABY, I love him so much! ❤He is so sweet-natured, gentle and what a drool master!
❤ I'm enchanted by Bodie. What a sweetheart!❤
I loved seeing that big ole doggie wearing a pink happy hoodie. What a cutie!
What a sweet pup! I could not handle that drool around my house - other than that - he's a gem!
He's so adorable. Look at his face.
Bodie is such a good boy!! Thought the short coat would be a breeze, but could hardly believe my eyes at the amount of coat that came off of him. As always, thank you for sharing your expert handling of unsure animals❤.
oh my goodness!!!!!!! Bodie is sooo precious!! What a wonderful, gorgeous, and well behaved young man!💕🐶
I have a friend who has 3 of them and a frenchie. Hers don’t drool thought. She had an old lady bullmastiff that has since passed away, but she was sooo protective of my friends kids. Also of the cats and the ducks they have.
He is gorgeous .... Love the shaking and the amount of hair you got out of that coat. He obviously isn't sure of the process but he became resigned to the groom. I think he liked his cuddle... He would live in treats but giving him a treat is like feeding smarties or M n M's to an elephant.... Thank you for letting us see Bodie.. Fabulous
He had the cutest, chubbiest toes EVER! They were perfection. ❤❤❤❤❤
It is unreal! How well behaved the bigger dogs are when compared to the smaller breeds.
it think there less afraid. After all, they can squish us like a bug. LOL
"You're drooling, I know you want it! YOU'RE DROOLING EVERYWHERE!"
maybe people who own bullmastiffs always have a towel handy to wipe the drool off their faces periodically?
What a big cuddle monster.
He’s so sweet ❤
What a beautiful, adorable, sweet and distinguished gentleman Bohdi (sp?) is!!
One of the few dogs I’ve ever seen that seemed to enjoy a hug, what a sweetheart
Such a love! I really miss my mastiff.
I think I have a new favorite dog on the channel. I just wanna hug him.
but the drool will get on your clothes.
@@SkyeID worth it. :D
@@redwitch12 mine didn't drool that much. Maybe there was a reason Bodhi was that day. They usually LOVE water, too. Mine would try and get in the shower with me. NOPE, not enough room. lol
He just needed a hug.
I've heard that the largest bullmastiff who ever lived weighed 340 lbs, straddling the fence between dog and horse.
I had a 200 pound bull mastiff. I scaled down to a 93 pound basset hound after that. They were both good dogs. Now I have a tiny soup bone of a basset at 45 pounds and another 60 pound basset .
P.S. My mastiff drooled like he had rabies.
@@lisabaltzer4190I love basset hounds. My grandma had one and he was the sweetest dog you'd ever meet. _Loved_ children.
Actually, the largest dog, which I believe you are referring to, was an English Mastiff. English Mastiff’s are generally much larger than Bull Mastiffs.
@@wdangelo3You are correct. My bad.
What a big boy. The amount of drool is insane as is the shedding.
Bodhi is handsome .my former neighbor had a Neapolitan bull mastiff and he drooled ALOT
a family member of mine had a bull mastiff he was really quiet and calm him and his owner passed around the same time (both were seniors)
He a THICC boy!
What a beauty. He was gorgeous. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
He's a strong, sturdy fellow! (Mr Murphy runs to the TV when he hears your voice. So cute!) I love him in his happy hoodie.
Oh that's so sweet!! ❤️
Lovely doggo, though I couldn't handle the drool. Props to the breeder/owner keeping the natural ears and tail, too!
Omg I love him. He genuinely just gives off nothing but pure joy and love. I want to hug him so badly (hopefully without getting dog slobber on me though)
Imo one of the best guard dogs on earth.
He seems like a well socialized boy.
One tough lady. You are super brave. We would be scared to bathe and nail clip these types of dogs, especially that are not ours. You have a nerve of steel.
Bodhi is a grand ambassador for the breed, such a good boy ❤
