Many years ago we adopted/rescued a wonderful Great Pyrenees. His name was Noble. We loved that dog, and the lady we got him from was reluctantly giving him up because she lived on a busy city street, and the fence around her yard was less than 3 feet high. If you know anything about this breed, you know that was no obstacle for Noble We lived in the county, and we had a 6 foot privacy fence around our yard. Unfortunately, we learned after a couple of months that Great Pyrenees love to roam! This breed has a lot of floof, but they also can wiggle through a fairly small opening. Noble would butt his head against the fence until he knocked a couple of slats out. All the neighbors knew who Noble was, and I would get calls while at work that he was going walk about. We managed to rehome him to a friend who lived further outside city limits, and 10 years later we still miss him
God bless you for recognizing the need and finding him a good home! And you are on the nose! I've rescued many and the brother of one of mine lives next door and does the "if I can get my nose under, I can get my 110 lbs through" amazing thing! Mine have always had respect for a fence AND are not left out for extremely long periods. And after 15+ years with no issues my 10 yr old has decided to climb the fence. She now has a tracker so I am alerted immediately and she hasn't gotten farther than 4 houses. (She will go weeks doing nothing and then make breaks 2x in one day! I'm so saddened to read of your loss. He had you, too. Don't forget that. Think of how many doggies don't have someone to love them. You had Gabriel, you were both fortunate to have the relationship. Take care. Give yourself time. You'll know when another fur baby needs you...
Great Pyrenees are notoriously sensitive about their paws. Every time we bring home a GP puppy to watch our animals, my wife makes it a regular thing to massage their paws when they are little to desensitize them so nail care is easier when they are the size of dump trucks 😅
My pup gets foot and pad massages daily while she's draped over me to help with de-sensitizing as her feet are very ticklish. She loves them...the messages I mean lol.

Me too!
What a handsome boy! Even before his bath and "spa" treatments!! So beautiful. ❤❤
His tap-dancing just helped.. style his paws! I love this video as a pyrenees owner, especially the "buddy, you're too strong for me!" part. I deal with that every day. So lucky they're gentle giants that let us mini humans live in their presence
Can dogs get ticklish? That's what his reaction to the paw shaving reminded me of.
You don't tell pyrs what to do you ask them nicely.☺
@@hawkrolla 💯😂 and then you HOPE they think it's a good idea too.
What a STUNNING dog❤
Congrats on the New Course🎉
We lost our Pyr a month ago, his name was Gabriel. Nigel reminds me of him, especially with how fluffy he is and seems to not like having his foot messed with. I miss Gabriel. Great Pyrenees are so beautiful
I'm so saddened to read of your loss. He had you, too. Don't forget that. Think of how many doggies don't have someone to love them. You had Gabriel, you were both fortunate to have the relationship. Take care. Give yourself time. You'll know when another fur baby needs you...
Nigel seems so sweet for his 1st bath his white just came out unbelievable how beautiful he is thank you
Can peroxide be applied to his stained areas?
"Why are you so strong" Vanessa asks? Nigel has to be a strong beast to carry all that fur around!!😁😁
He looked so casual about it too 😅
Nigel, in a modest tone: "Models have to be strong."
What a beautiful dog with an unbelievable temperament, a credit to his owners.
I wonder if their paws are ticklish?......... so when the hair/fur is moved slightly, it tickles them?
He is magnificant!
Mine are ticklish between the pads
Great Pyrenees are notoriously sensitive about their paws. Every time we bring home a GP puppy to watch our animals, my wife makes it a regular thing to massage their paws when they are little to desensitize them so nail care is easier when they are the size of dump trucks 😅
You have a very sunny attitude so lovely
My pup gets foot and pad massages daily while she's draped over me to help with de-sensitizing as her feet are very ticklish. She loves them...the messages I mean lol.
@@SagebrushRambles Oh! I never thought about it before...... Lucky pup!
Gota hand it to Vanessa she's a true hustler! Pet groomer, RUclipsr, business owner, pet products distributor, works with charities, now lecturer! I probably missed some stuff in her portfolio but I have no idea where she finds the time to do all of that! Your amazing! 🤯🐶💪
These big guys are great to see. The editor/camera operator likes their work. My late Yorkshire Terrier was one hour, in and out.
Girl, I salute you. That was a big job! I've never seen a Great Pyrenees that poofy! You need to go see your Nonna tomorrow and have her cook you a yummy meal! So glad to see the owners' reaction; priceless!
They love him so much, it tears me up to see animals so loved. I wish all dogs had a mom and dad like him.
Nigel is a sweetie. I bet I could spin enough yarn to knit a sweater with what you got off of him.
A first bath, with that amount of time taken... Nigel is as fluffy as a cloud both in fur and personality, his parents did a great job with him.
He looks absolutely fantastic and the owners seem to do a great job of maintaining him at home for his coat to loosen up like that after a bath and he is well loved.❤ Such a beautiful boy.
0:07 where's the dog and how did you manage to get a cloud to form so low to the ground?
Sweetheart and Poom Poom. Nigel really has his parents right where he wants them!!!
Wow!! A cloud was created and now walks amongst us! .... I hope your arms are ok! That was a long makeover! But, what a beauty! Loved the owners reaction!
This dog is absolutely magnificent! 💕I've never seen such luxurious fur before. It's like a white lion! I'm completely smitten!
He’s a giant, beautiful cloud ❤
As an owner of a Pyrenees marshmallow, you have my respect! It's time for me to do this and I'm so not looking forward to the backache. 😅
I hope there is a dog grooming station nearby that you may rent. It's definitely a back saver when I take my Great Pyr to the pet shop.
We live in the White Mountains of Arizona and have 3 Great Pyrenees to help guard our goats. The two 4-month old puppies are sweet and playful. We've had a 2-year old adult that we inherited from a friend who died about 6 weeks ago. They are not as big as some other dogs, but they are sweet with us humans and the herd animals. They are very protective and do a wonderful job.
The Cutest Cotton ball!!! Oh my!!! I'm laughing so hard at the brushing part.
I was literally thinking, "What would this cost if it wasn't being done for free?" the entire video! I'm glad she added that! This is wild! I also can't imagine how many 'sanitary trims' he must require. That's a lot of fur!
He is one beautiful boy!!! Look at that face! What a sweet face. I have to Great Pyrenees, a boy and a girl! I love them dearly. Such incredible dogs!!!
I'm retired now but use to work in a groom shop in South Florida called Miracle Workers. You are truly a gifted loving Miracle Worker. I've oftened wondered about the owners when picking up. Please share more of these reactions. It was always one of my favorite parts of my job! ❤God bless you.
Nigel did fantastic! He is so fluffy. ❤
One of the best I've ever seen! Such a great job for a grand, loved gentlemen!💕💕
Wow! How to turn a dog into a polar bear by Vanessa. 😲 Nigel is totally stunning.🥰🥰 Good job owners for bringing up a very beautiful, well behaved fluffball. 😍😍 Fantastic job as always Vanessa, miracle worker extraordinaire!! 👍👍👏👏💪💪
Wow that is one Sherman tank of a dog.😳 How beautiful you made him look though, and he was really such a good boy for his first time 💖
I'm thankful for my Great Pyr Mix, Sasha. Her other half is Border Collie and Springer Spaniel. She's a tricolor farm dog with a black bib that doesn't stain from drool.
Amazing job
God bless this creature
That was a MASSIVE and BEAUTIFUL Land cloud! ❤
He looks so good! What a gentle giant, he did great being his first groom for his age.
Nigel was being an extremely good boy! All those weird new sensations and noises, but he stayed very friendly and mostly calm.
You will be a great parent! Nigel is beautiful, love the fluff.
Nigel is gorgeous after your hard work! I'm so impressed that being a tiny little groomer you handled this amazing beast with courage and love. His Makeover is astonishing! Hugs. 😍
What a nice breed! A pillow for a dog. You are so well behaved Nigel!
Pyreneans are such sweet dogs when raised with a family. You did a great job today - Nigel is such a big strong dog, but so good natured.
Vanessa, I have to commend not only your outstanding professionalism, but also impossible endurance and patience. This one was one of your most impressive yet.
Agreed!! You might check out her 6 hour (edited, of course) malamute/husky groom on her Girl With the Dogs 2. She said she hurt for a couple days...and she is a strong little thing!
All this dogs you groomed , they are so bigger than you literally and you doing such a great work alone salute to you ❤
The owners should have given her something for all her hard work. I would have just because of how wonderful a job she did on him!!!!
I've often wondered if the owners who can will tip. It's none of our business if they do but this seems like the perfect time for a gratuity.
Or perhaps Vanessa asks them to donate the tip to an animal rescue... She seems the sort of person who would do that.
I helped a friend find a new home for their GP a couple of years ago. The new family has 5 children who absolutely adore her. She was a smaller GP and found her forever home. What a gorgeous cloud. Vanessa is an artist!
Wow Nigel's owners reactions were heartwarming, their precious, sweet boy washed and pampered and all cleaned up by you, they were so thankful for the care you gave to their lovely, fluffy Nigel, thank you for the video ❤
Vanessa, you did a wonderful groom for Nigel! ❤ He looks just spectacular! The before and after are just WOW!
The best part was that "where have you been all our life!" You completely transformed their beautiful cloud haha, they were so appreciative!
He is gorgeous! I will be honest. I started crying at his people's reaction. He is so obviously loved
$300 for the time effort, grooming products aside, your invaluable time and efforts, her owner could provide a donation of a donation to the charity of your choice Nigel came out looking absolutely gorgeous!
This lady is most delightful, sweet and smart host on RUclips.
Him such a gentleman. He deserves a cookie.
Oooh this is gonna be a good one
Right?! Nigel is so regal.
Right?! ( :
Such a big boy. Did a great job, looks fantastic
That was an amazing makeover. Nigel looked AMAZING.
What a sweet boy! The look of concern on his face when you blew the conditioner through his coat melted my heart. ❤️
I love how you take care of these gentle giants. You are wonderful!!
