Coming from Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster, I’ll say they’ve reworked a lot of things and made them worse in the process. Sure, there’s a lot of new additions that I like about it but unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives. So much that I don’t even feel like playing it anymore. I keep hearing it’s made for console players, but believe me it’s worse on console! I’d much prefer quickly navigating menus with a mouse rather than several different button clicks on a controller, just to do one thing! Overall, the game feels more clunky and overcomplicated and people will find this very frustrating when trying to craft their dream theme park. All the devs needed to do is fix certain issues in previous games and not create new problems.

The game looks beautiful but it manages to be even more simple than Pikmin. It's clear that this was designed for consoles. I didn't hate the demo but it's not something that I would put high on my wishlist or buy at full price.

I completely agree with the sense of boredom part, I tried so hard to like the game, spent 80 hours on it, and now nearly hate it. There's 0 to do and the more I played the worse the graphical detail of your city gets. The automatically placed districts are NOT tailored to each map and as such the buildings of districts love to clip into eachother, other special buildings and streets. The zoomed in detail is abhorrent, I hate it. Even the idiots running around in circles with their lights on, i wish they used that and put them into the districts, making them work. Same with the glowy streets, I wish on normal you'd see crowds on them, to really sell that it's people. Other than that, wtf is up with the whole Heat Surplus... I thought I HEATED my city, why is there still snow in my districts. Why are they all wearing thick clothes when the text told me they aren't. Why the hell are automatons now not using steamcores and hothouses non-exsistant? This game has hole like a swiss cheese. Also, why can we just build these mini-generators in districts now? Would have been cool if that was only possible once you get oil, with a whole new tech tree. But hey, oil is literally just reskinned, better coal from 1. "Ignore all the hype over it in the promotional material tehe!" - 11bits probably

The people who will enjoy Elite's VR mode the most are the ones who have already spent the required hundreds of hours figuring out how the game works and grinding a solid fleet, and have also already discovered that the on-foot mode is utter dogshit and not worth doing normally, much less in VR.

you cant do forward and back controls on zero turn equipment. You need separate throttle controls for left and right to do a zero turn, To spin left you reverse left and forward right. Haven't bought the game yet but I think im about too.

I loved the 1 one and hate the second one....lazy frontier....I refunded and play the old game. I`ll wait for the Gold complete Edition in 2-4 Years. :P

I never played PC1 so can't compare. But I'll say PC2 is great!

I have refunded Frostpunk 2 after 50 minutes of play.

I dissagree with fighting in vr not being the most impressive, for me its the one thing that makes playing it on flatscreen impossible. Being able to naturally look around and track enemies with my vision.

Ive ranted about this in videos as well, any videos bringing attention to this is good in my book.

Yea they c*cked up making this a full release. People would have been less pissed if it had been Early Access instead but I guess they got greedy and launched early before Xmas and Black Friday, now they're reaping the benefits of that poor decision.

Definitely the worst year in the past decade, maybe this century imo. I’m really not interested in weeb games whatsoever and the only two new releases I’ve enjoyed this year were the Elden Ring DLC and Balatro, both of which I had a few complaints with.

Thanks for the review, saved me time on buying & downloading a game that looks way worse than Empire of Undergrowth, I think the main problem this game has is the 3rd person view, dev has the same problem most do for the last 20 years , too much focus on graphics not enough on mechanics and tactics which makes RTS games flops, example play Dungeon Keeper an ooooold arse game you will loose lots of time on it because of the mechanics. That's an RTS!!!! Which BTW had an option (spell) to engage in 3rd person OVER 20 years ago! Actually forced you to think outside of the box and do it as some things we're designed unachievable without using that option. Sad EA killed it and the War for the Overworld focused too much on graphics so didn't have the same success. To finish off word of advice from a strategy fanatic to a strategy fanatic, if you know what C&C is and you don't know what Dark Reign is you haven't played all the good strategy games. Similar game engine YES has enough of different things to make it unique just like Ancient Conquest: Quest for the Golden Fleece ( I can ram my owns ship into others to cause damage??? YES PLEASE) ,KKND..... ever heard those titles ey? there you go, don't wait for new releases, GO BACK IN TIME do some research of just troll through GOG and check what series corporations have killed because 90% of new strategy games bring NOTHING new to the genre its copy+paste+new graphics just like the reviewer said rock+paper+scisors. HELL check out Beasts & Bumpkins that game gave me a headache when my people died out and had to restart the whole mission over and over !

As a console player who has been waiting all this time ,i thought perhaps everything wouldve been fixed by now, its not even out yet on console over a year later. But if its still getting bad reviews from pc players even after this extensive time period what hope does this game have on ps5

Its the lack of scenery for me. That could also be because i had all the dlc for the original, but making a theme right now for rides and what not is nearly impossible for me. Imo all the dlc scenery should have been in the sequel. Im playing the orfinal until they release dlc and squeeze me for wvery dime i have. Like they always have done like all that bs dlc for planet zoo

Everyone blaming us console players for the UI but let me tell you its just as annoying for us too. Was much easier/better in Planet Coaster 1 and Planet Zoo

i found 2 tornado's right away without a tutorial so apparently i understand something i never knew i did as far as the weather radar goes

elite dangerous is the one game that gives me literal goosebumps just even thinking about it or watching people play it like the legendary Isinona. no other game does that so it makes it special to me.

I liked the first game quite a lot... think its worth playing the second one if i didn't play the first one enough to really get bored of all the features?

Man i love this game but after 8 hours of me playing it crashed and won’t let me back in saying a EU error don’t know how to fix it lol.

At least for me, when I hear someone say they put in well over 1k hours into a game and then say they start disliking the game because they have nothing new to do it's kind of like... you still put in more then 40 days of your life into it. Like hell, a game is lucky if I get past 15hrs these days.

Windows Users: do you also have those loong loading times with your mods activated? I am on Linux Mint (running C:S 2 via proton on steam) and with my modpack I am getting loading times of 3-5 minutes! sure, the games runs good, but those loading times, omg!

Paradox will never get another cent from me.
