Lol, i do get the point of the rant. But after MSFS2020 launch and issues at the beginning, I just bought the std version of MSFS24 expecting an unfished game. I think the issue is because Asobo tried to add in way too much in this version. It does feel like a wide user Beta test. Which the game needed anyway. However If you use "free flight" or SIM mode, it works without a lot of issues and stunning in VR and done as advertised. It like GTA, Cyberpunk, Elite Dangerous BF2042, COD,XP12 and more....all software manufacturers 1/2 release games and fix later. If Asobo only added half into MSFS24 we'd be happy. Ao don't buy any of the expensive editions now. Wait to later, because you can upgrade later and wait to see what it will look like in 1 yrs time.

2 months later, the dust is settling, and unfortunately, I think it's more-or-less safe to say that it was a lazy cash grab, and despite updates, they are pretty meager ones. I think this one was just a flop. It's not going to pull a "No Man's Sky". It's foundation just isn't there. Player interest has dwindled with no signs of returning, more people are playing PC1 now than PC2, which means everyone has just gone back. And, it came out that it has been a financial failure for Frontier, which means there likely won't be much--if any--significant DLC.

Microsoft flight simulator is a game. Xplane and P3d are simulators.

All i want is for this game to get multiplayer cause it'd be so fun and chaotic with it.

Now that the year is over, yeah, this was a very weak year. Almost as weak as 2020/21. I think it may have had a lot to do with the gaming renaissance of 2023.

Came for Starfield. Stayed for the quips and laughs.

I heard great things about it a few years back and it was on psplus, so I tried it and I freaking hated it. Then a few years pass, I got it for cheap for my Xbox, started playing and something clicked. I enjoyed it so much that when I saw it on the ps5 for $3 with all DlC, I didn’t hesitate. Now I have a 100 hour normal play through and nearly 60 hours (so far) of a hard core play through. The hard core game is so much better to me. So much more immersive because you have to learn the lay of the land, and you don’t get to fast travel anywhere.

Money Making Scam... they give you a base amount of airport scenery, the rest is ALL generic (same view at every airport) unless you cough up 15 to 25 big ones just to acquire a few airports with scenery. There are more plain airports in the game than online 3rd party scenery vendors or the in the Market Place store . Worst... you have to purchase the Enhanced CITY Lighting for EACH city and separate airport markings software and separate is the runway lighting software or Enhanced Aircraft Lighting ...which should BE STANDARD software in the Sim. SMH

Medieval lasagna of gameplay lmao nicely put. Yeah I've always loved KCD, how believable and unforgiving it is, how it respects your intelligence. People who gave up halfway through the prologue raise my blood pressure more than I care to admit. Overcoming believable adversity is what makes it satisfying and fun. I think you missed one of the most unsung heroes of the game btw: the map itself. In hardcore you don't get the player icon on the map, no fast travel and you don't get cardinal directions or long distance quest markers either. So you have to navigate by landmarks and the insanely good - and historically authentic - quality of the map is just a superb part of that experience and what ultimately makes it suuuper fun.

This might be my most favorite game ever but the jank is the absolute worst kind and genuinely is unacceptable for a fully patched game.

I don't think it was ever meant to be a game and never will be. Like it said in the trailer it is used by real airports/airliners to train there staff, Aviar just wanted this simulator to be released to the public

I bounced off KCD when I first tried it some years back, but I admitted at the time it was a lack of skill on my part. I don't have the time/patience to deal with games with steep learning curves. But I tried it again recently & fell in love with it. It's up there with RDR2, Witcher 3, & Cyberpunk as games where I'll just wander around exploring, seeing what the world has in store. I normally wait for games to have a Definitive Edition, so as to avoid launch issues & drip-fed extras, but I've pre-ordered the Gold Edition of KCD2, & I haven't been this excited for a game since Baldur's Gate 3 was in Early Access.

I hope it's not so annoying as the first one. I uninstalled it after a few useless and boring quests with Theresa. On top of that the combat was very clunky and punishing and in the same time didn't give you the chance to learn it, while punishing you right away for not knowing it. Very bad game mechanics.

I’m replaying it for what might be the final time currently, and having a blast. Those future replays will probably be KCD2 honestly, it’s played out by now but I’m still greatly enjoying it this last time. My favorite game ever.

Welcome. Took a while, didn't you ? The opening doesn't get nearly as much love as it should. Have you any idea how powerful you can become just in Skalitz and later Talmberg ? Regarding Peter.......... he also puts poison on his blade. Did you run into the blacksmith father of his last victim ? It's a hidden quest.

the combat in the first game was just so inconsistent for me, sometimes it would take 2 minutes of being countered over and over before you could get a single good hit in, at other times you would beat the same enemy with 1 hit. hope its less janky in the second game

I tried the game once and quickly lost interest. Then one year later, I decided to give it another go. Started in hardcore mode and I had such a blast that I sank 100 hours into it in a matter of weeks. This game is a treasure if you can look past its flaws and I can't wait for the second one to come out

I've finished KCD 3 times. The last time was on Hardcore mods. And I've spent over 500 hours in the game. And I'll probably play it a fourth time, once all the DCLs are released on KCD 2 and I can enjoy Henry's story from beginning to end.

Late to the party as well. Gonna pick up the sequel somewhere this year. But I need to finish this one first before the new game comes out. There is no rush though. I stopped buying games on launch anyway. I can finish this one and wait to wear off the fatigue for playing the same game for so many hours.

I just hit 40 hours, never even thought about this game before the sequel trailer. Truly brilliant game.

like I did not want to start with kcd last year, because I though "I will play the game with better graphics in 2025" but since the previews have been shown on youtube, I am way too hyped. So last week I started playing kcd to tip my toe, for the kcd2 and it is indeed awesome! didnt know I didnt play it earlier, probably the negative press when it released (buggy etc)

One of those games I wish I could play again for the first time. My first (and hardcore) run was just one of the best gaming experiences ever. These next two weeks of wait will be torture.

New to the game, I ordered 2 already, should I buy 1 and give it a go?

I remember first seeing this game used years ago at Gamestop. I think I tried it and returned it, BUT ironically gave it another shot on the ugly Vaseline Switch version and put 50 hours into it! The world and characters and writing and gameplay kept me going. I don't have a Switch anymore but I am replaying KCD on a Steam Deck and I appreciate it SO much more! The HD Textures pack with low and medium settings consistently gives 60 FPS, too. Like you, I'm also way excited for KCD 2 😄

I'm the exact same tried about 4 times and never got far past the beginning bit. A mate recommend me to use a controller so giving it another go now!

Extremely ambitious game has a few glitches on launch - somehow makes it shambolic 🙄 I'm sure after a patch or two it'll all be fixed. Not to mention the best way to get these bugs fixed quickly is to release it so they get all the reports and edge cases from players. Chill out lmao

Thanks for this review! I've been really drawn in to the hype surround KDC2 recently but I was unsure about committing to trying the first one out beforehand. Luckily before buying it I realised I already had it in my Epic Games library so this video as really helped me decide if I fancy it or not. Fingers crossed!

Same as you, I played KCD a few times when it released but bailed on it because I was tom tit at playing it. I decided to give it another crack ahead of KCD2 and it was great but with the same issues you mention. I couldn’t hit a barn door with the bow

So If Someone Wanted To Use MSFS As A Tool To Familiarize Themselves With The Gauges And Controls Before Beginning In Person Flight Training Would You Suggest 2024? Or Would It Be Better To Buy A Version That Is 4 Years Older? Hoping To Practice A Couple Of Stall Recoveries And Other Exercises, To Get Them Figured Out At Home And Save A Couple Hours Of Training Costs With An Instructor
