Not TRUE doubles, but doubles nonetheless. Watch, listen rather, to a snare drummer play a double stroke roll and listen to this one. This sounds like trash compared to a proper double stroke roll. I’m not that good I wasn’t a marching snare drummer, but I can play them decently. With that said; she’s not teaching marching snare drumming she’s teaching kit drumming so 🤷‍♂️ it’s the quick way, but not necessarily the right way. Appreciate the content! God bless!

I learned to play heel down, so I do toe-heel ! But I learned not to keep my heel hard down on the pedal.

I have no 4 way coordination. In fact "independence" is the one thing that caused me to put drumming on hold for a while. I just can't get past the connection between my upper and lower body. SO hard!

Honestly that's the advice I always give, everyone wants to give up their first year.... Fight that urge, record yourself for the year, after one year watch your videos of you don't see improvement then you can quit if you still want, it you can find out why you haven't improved and change that

70 here. Learned guitar back in jr. high school. College was music major with voice principle instrument. I took a different direction in life, worked for decades and am now retired. Music continues to be a main love. Now having more time I got myself an electronic drum kit and am beginning to play drums. Found you on u- tube.
