Team werewolf all day!

Say vampire I automatically think "Castlevania" and Christopher Lee. I've studied some of the Eastern European legends of vampires,unlike Bram Stroker's novel,a vampire was a walking corpse that attacked and drank the blood of the living at night. Also the vampire could turn into mist or a wolf,not a bat.

It's interesting how originally vampires and zombies were similar, but they are now so different. I've often pondered on whether the modern views of the two - the vampire, being intelligent, seductive and often part of the nobility, and the zombie, being stupid and appearing in masses - perhaps reflect a middle-class anxiety relating to both the upper-class (vampires) and the lower-class (zombies).

My favorite portrayal of a Vampire in cinema was Gary Oldman in "Bram Stoker's Dracula" (1992) .. with Tom Cruise et al. in "Interview With The Vampire" (1994) coming in at a very close second. 🧛 And of course the hopping kangaroo vampires featured recently on this channel lol.

Funny enough, Carmilla is older than Dracula, yet they were lovers and he killed her in The Vampire Hunter D storyline.

Some say the 1st vampire was mentioned in Greek mythology by the name of Ambrogio. He was cursed by Apollo and Artemis...Google his story as it's a bit long 😅

In ancient societies this briefly touched on warriors would hope that embracing the animal spirit like a bear or a wolf they would survive a battle , shamans can transform spiritually into an animal as a teacher . But someone being a monster is the darker part of a human mindset
