I immediately felt guilty after I requested the Labors of Heracles, because I knew it would be an enormous project. But, as usual, you rose to the challenge, and I can't imagine how much time and effort it took to put this together! Thank you for all of the thought provoking videos Mr. Myst! That sure is one handsomely decorated throne! ☮
What? X-Force! Thank you! The super like wasn’t necessary (but it is appreciated 😅) And it was a pleasure to make, especially for one of my greatest supporters. Thank you buddy. I appreciate everything. Truly. 🙏 yeah, took a while, and banging my head on the wall for editing with new headphones because the musics too quiet, but like you say, a handsomely decorated throne.
First~ Yes, I did do that~ Hey man, loved the video, saw the title and was like “Is someone finally gonna talk about how he totally murdered his family?!” Love third channel, dude! Sidenote, a clip of a woman shouting “ *Ewwwww!!* “ is the only proper way to discuss Zeus’s incestual relationships.
Thought you did an excellent job with this, sir. Loved it. ❤ I'm fairly familiar with Heracles story, but learned a few things here. For instance, I didn’t know about the centaurs and the wine.
@@MystOfMythology I should add that Heracles is a victim with no real father figure to guide him. His inability to dominate his emotions is his real weakness and cause of much of his tragic tale.
@@MystOfMythology No. I read it from a book published in the early 1930's which referenced an older text as the source. It stuck with me because it seemed so incredibly brutal. Lol
That's really brutal! Perhaps, I've had a gander on the interwebs and not found a validated reference to it - but would be interesting if you do ever find it!
One of these days it would be nice if someone actually got the story of Heracles right. I know it's such a longshot given how Classical mythology - and history - is so often misrepresented not only in Hollywood but also their British and Italian and other European counterparts. But if someone could make a show like Rome or Black Sails, it's entirely feasible for someone to get Heracles and the other Greek heroes - mythical and historical - right. They just need the right attitude and vision.
At some point we have to leave the Disney nest and fly in the face of reality. These stories are a reflection of humanity, including our faults and foibles.
The Greeks are pretty but I don't know how that is w all inbreeding going on 😂. Good story though I've never heard the story of Hercules this way before.
1:16 That made me laugh by the way. Well done.
😬
Hercules was a true Greek Mythology Hero, flawed, headstrong, and all too human. Able to do great heroic acts or cruel acts out of anger.
Exactly Mike. I think that's why his story has resonated with so many through out history.

Very glad to hear it Leigh! I had to dust of the books for this one. Thanks for watching and the comment!
I’m only a quarter a way in, but I am LOVING THIS 🙌
Finished. Brilliant as always MOM! 🎉
11:05 are those deadpool arm rests?
You have a sharp eye 👁️ - answer in the description.
Imagine being so fearsome that the Sun itself descends from the sky to beg you for mercy.
Damn. That would’ve been a great opening. You offer any script writing services THE-X-Force? 🤔
One more thing. I deeply appreciated your usage of the proper Greek name. Heracles. The Roman version is so overused.
Sadly I had to add it back in to the title and description because very few search of Heracles.
Hercules, first Nepo baby.
lol 😂 Ain't that the truth.
Keep them coming. Rooting for this channel
Thank you Shawn!
What do I take away from the he story of Heracles? No god can be depended on.
Especially Zeus.

Great video!
Thank you Psilo_Sybin!
Isn't there a tale where Heracles ripped off the arms of the Amazonian queen?
The M. Night Shyamalan version?

Hey Ravens...you think this one missed the mark on this one? 🎯
@@MystOfMythology I'm only human. If I made a mistake, I apologise.
Not at all buddy! - I just thought you said that this had misrepresented the classical mythology.
@@MystOfMythology Oh! I mean movies and television. OK in retrospect my original comment did seem a bit too vague. My bad. ♥

That's just disgusting. I liked Hercules before this!

Pretty much how it was written. Don't think Disney wanted to use this version 😂
😂 lol!
