STIHL HL94, FS94 AND KM94 REVIEW AND COMMON PROBLEMS
We had 4 tripod jacks building a 12' diameter grain bin that was up about 20' or so. I was the lucky one that was using a crescent wrench instead of a handle. I company should have replaced the handle that we bought the grain bins from. The wrench slipped off the boat type wench. The only thing I remembered was the clicking sound as the tripod and the grain bin came down on me. The next day I still had the impression of a bolt that was in a culvert type building. Nothing broken. I guess the tripod fell against me and then bounced, then I fell down, then the tripod was against the building with the grain bin on top of it. Just one of the close calls I have had. You can never be too careful.

Naw man the welds overall look good. Bein too hard on yourself. Got good penetration, no porosity, only a slight wander on a few of em. This is a DIY Dump trailer bud. Looks great!
Thanks!
I feel like you live near me in Glendale AZ. XD
Close enough, 43av and Paradise.
@@wallysworkin823 It looks like it! I'm off of 47th & T Bird. Keep it up sir, great content!
Nice Job! One thing I would add is a few pieces of C channel or even angle iron to cover the winch cable, sort of belt loops on your jeans. This so if it where to break, it would be contained and not become a whip.
That is one thing I didn’t get to yet.
If it were me I would use a 3500 or a little bigger dually chevy truck frame the 1 ton dually van frame might to. Its going to look great either way you do it
That’s the plan, I prefer a van because it’s nice and flat front to back.
Since you added so much weight in steel to a single axle trailer, how much payload do you actually have?
About a ton safety. I have put 1.5 tons in it so far with no issues.
So tell us, what do you do in your spare time? Very well thought out and EXECUTED! You even got me to like and *SUBSCRIBE* Hey, it don't cost nothing so EVERYONE should *SUBSCRIBE* YES?
This is what I do in my free time lol. Thanks for watching!!
Nice trailer. My first thought is the hole should be a slot nor a round hole. That would give the pin plenty of time to penetrate the tower. IMO. Cheers
I would agree round was just easier at the time.
I had just seen ur dump trailer video. turned-out looking great. watch-out for ur fingers.. good for work around home or helping someone to move stuff.
Definitely have to watch all the limbs, pretty scary when it comes down.
Bom trabalho 😮😮
Yes i think you are on the right track with a frame swap, catch you on the next one
Thanks!
Cool old truck, heck of a road trip
Great video! Kudos for adding a saftey mechanism.
Thanks for the great vidio. My machine still stalls after I rebuild the carberator. Whats wrong wit my machine. Thanks.
Well done video. Thank you for producing it.
close ups are necessary here to make the video instructional. alittle too generic for me

Just picked up two 8550s they run one of them bogs down when i go full throttle... what do you think clean the carb
What about a 4 Door Panel Van?
That is a possibility.
Cheapest thing you can Buy is a C model Motorhome Van Front end n just put your Cab on it
I can’t find one reasonably priced. Plus it needs to be i believe 97 and newer, the older Chevy’s are unibody.
@@wallysworkin823 my friend used a Diesel Isuzu box truck n take cab off n box off n I'd use box for my parts storage 😆 n make it a Ramp truck or Rollback
I remember in the 90s you could buy those for $200 BUT NOT NOW huh
Yeah they seem to be all over the place price wise.
That's one of my Dream Trucks is a COE ROLLBACK TRUCK 😂😂😂
Show your wife what your going to build n show her how much they are worth when finished n builts like $50,000 & Up over $100,000 for like a Rollback style
She only sees money going out 😂
How much you pay for that
Free 99, my wife’s family member gave it to me but it cost me $1100 in fuel.
Oh that's Awesome huh n that's funny that she was laughing at it n it came from her family 😆
clean the dash up, put some phosphoric acid on it to fight the rust and do normal body work, a rust primer or paint and it will be fine.
Is the frame really that far gone?
The back rails are really rusted and thin.
What did you figure out on the 57 doors
I’m working on it, stay tuned.
Holy smoke, Wally was working! This should be cool build. Gotta love to hate the power of rust. 🫵🏼💯🆒
It’s worth it.
I had 2 of these. one XR7 like yours, the other was more basic. The basic one was my first car. I found it in a broke down state in a friends driveway. the second was going to be a parts car for the first but it had all its parts in the trunk also. (you could fit the whole car in the trunk im pretty sure)My dad fixed it up and I had 2. I almost feel like crying seeing yours running and looking so glamourous.
Put penetration oil on
Great project! I’m tackling something similar. 57 long bed Chevy Apache onto an 88 4x4 dump truck chassis. Question: What is that contraption that your chain hoist is attached to, and where can I get one?!
A piece of 2x6 and some tie down straps Lol, nothing fancy.
No no, the big cradle that’s straddling your work platform. The big steel contraption on wheels that the chain hoist is attached to. What is it, who makes it, and where can I get one?
@@mlarsen3795 Harbour Freight gantry crane.
The bottom numbers are the phone number from back in the day. Nice truck 🎉. Definitely a modern chassis with single rear wheels.
Fantastic idea o the driveshaft brake! Shes going to be a challenge for sure. Cheers Terry
There is a 1958 Mackemer calendar for sale on EBay. 🙂
If you have a similar vehicle close by, and a willing owner, you could make a shape pattern for the cab : ruclips.net/video/44tSonYPz-w/видео.html
That is what I was thinking about. Just need to find one around me, can’t remember the last time I saw one of these trucks in Phoenix.
I think you’re like me… When you’re recording videos, you keep your voice down so the neighbours don’t think you’re crazy, talking to yourself. Good luck with the truck. Looks challenging!
So true! I don’t know why they already think I’m crazy lol. Still trying to get used to talking to myself.
Morning Everyone! I am excited to see what You do with this wonderful Truck. When your Sister in-laws Truck is finished of course.
Class A motorhome chassis would work good too. Most you find are low miles. Its going to be a cool build. Cheers Terry
That’s what I’m looking for now. I have seen a few for cheap that are trashed on the inside but still run.
I bought an 82t late last summer. I was very impressed with it. It has been working fine this year until a few days ago when it started reving really high sporadically. Today when i was using them the problem got much worse and much more frequent. It didnt matter what angle i was holding them at. They idle fine, but when i hit the throttle even a little bit today, they surge/ rev very high until i let off. Any thoughts or solutions ? Still a carb issue?
Sounds like a carb issue, if fuel is leaking around the air filter or exhaust you may need a carb overhaul or a new one.
Nice truck I keep it all original
Really good the information I have a question My br800 is run but is not a lot power
Chickanic sent me your way. About to work on a PB 770T. So thanks for the video
You may have missed your calling. I’d be thrilled to have you working in my shop. Attention to detail is hard to find. Keep up the good work.
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching.
Nice work! A coupe pairs of Irwin Vice Grip c-clamps with swivel pad would really help you to hold your panel while fitting and trimming. Also, a possible alternative to the 3M roloc discs is Norton Blaze orange discs. Both are aluminum oxide and tough as nails. The Norton brand is sometimes a little more economical.
Thanks for the recommendation, I will check those out.
I have a 91 and 131 r. Not a single issue. Allot these issues come from operator abuse. Bad gas, not letting the unit cool down, lack of maintenance, etc.
Great video, one problem I have on a fairly new machine is the articulated head won't move beyond 90°. The spring loaded sleeve and pin seem to be working fine, what do you recommend?
Nothing.
I just bought a 91 today should I be worried and return it before the problem arises?
I have one at work that I use 6 hours a day without stopping every single day it'll be fine I'm sure some people just get unlucky
