The xdrive take 7.2 liters and the rwd take 6.5 liters. I got in to debate with my advisor 3 times until I proved to him with their own dealer data base. Xdrive has a different oil pan because the front wheel drive system goes through the oil pan.

In the U.K., the X drive F30 40I was not an option. RWD only, as was the M135i/M140i. Something to do with the right hand drive. X drive is what was needed here. Based on BMW’s decision to make the new M340I/M340D/M3/M4 X Drive, it shows that they went in the right direction. RWD is always more fun but around here from the line and on corners you just can’t beat an AWD vehicle.

i traded in my 2015 F80 (6-speed) for a 2024 G80 (8 speed auto) earlier in 2024, trust me it's next level. I was worried if it would pretty much feel the same. the acceleration is just amazing, go try it out before you trade your F30. Good luck and all the best to you in 2025! ///M FTW!

this project is not hard, it’s tedious. I found it a lot easier to have my weak yet small girlfriend help. If you really struggle try an allen wrench, the angle allows you to pull up or push down and get the grills out no problem.

Like I said to all of you commenting that year 340i is not everywhere! The 340i wasn’t out there like that until the new body change. And a fully loaded 340i with track pack cost damn near as much as a base M3! So most people just went for the M3. And I can tell him about it because I have the damn car as well!

RWD is dumb if you have more than 300hp or live anywhere other than California or the desert and never drive in rain and snow. AWD is inherently superior. It’s just physics

If I’m right I’ve seen this guy on i4 in downtown Orlando and in Apopka where every bmw owner comes to get there’s stuff done all I see is some sexy m340i and m440i always racing where I live I just can’t wait to get approved on this m340i sports that I’ve seen on direct auto on south orange blossom an mint auto has this sexy bmw m3 cs too I want both 😭

I don't buy a BMW to impress people i buy it because of the sheer driving pleasure of it very different from the Toyota and Honda power driving dynamics and great handling are some of the main reasons why i have stuck by my BMW in general ❤

Can a bad windshield cowl cause air/wind noises? I keep hearing a whistling noise coming from the front on the highway going 50mph and up.

I just hulked mine off got annoyed trying to release the tabs, Oem ones do not pop out that easy especially if your cars a few years old if you see two starting to release it most likely won’t break any if you just yank it

Did you experience any hesitation through the gears (3-6) before Xhp? I'm running a stage 2 BM3 map on my M140 without Xhp, and from what I read online, the hesitation could be a result of torque limitations on the stock TCU map.

@f30skrrt did you have to get a custom base tune for 93 octane first? I cant get the off the shelf maps to run this Florida gas with out timing pulls.
