    To take off the crank pulley, I used a 1/2 inch impact with 1,200 ft/lb loosening torque with a harmonic balancer socket and it took it right off. Initially, I tried it with a 3/8 inch impact with 600 ft/lb loosening torque but it wouldn't budge. I now have a new 1/2 impact for tough jobs ($200 spent).

    • @junkbucketgarage
      @junkbucketgarage Год назад

      it actually has solenoids under the center cover that that shut of oil pressure to special lifters and collapses them. when the computer wants the car to be a v8 again it sends back to those lifters and they pump back up. problem is they fail and stay collapsed causing all sorts of problems. thanks for watching 👍
