Hello!
My name is Michelle, and I love knitting. I am an advanced beginner knitter, particularly when it comes to garments - I only started knitting garments at the end of 2022.
I started this channel to document my thoughts, but also to share ideas and inspiration with other knitters online. I also want to share my lessons learned, to (hopefully) help other beginner knitters as they move along their crafting journey.
So if that sounds like your cup of tea, hit that subscribe button and let’s talk!

My Ozetta obsession continues, plus the Harris Hood, Moby Sweater Man and other WIPs
I started knitting a few larger, aran weight projects, and was flying through them when I realized I hadn't told any of you about them yet! So here I am to remedy that. Enjoy!

Knitting Anti-Haul: You Don't Need this Stuff!

I'm back with a fun little video, where I try to save you money. I used to watch the one-and-only Kimberly Clark's anti-haul videos when I was still into beauty RUclips, so I decided to make a knitting-themed version. If you love any of these items, you do you. If you're trying to save money and have someone talk you out of spending it, you've come to the right place :)

I'm back with another pattern round up video! Guys...this one was a real bummer. I'm so sad this yarn didn't perform the way I expected it to - it's SO soft, and I really wanted it to work. I guess we can't win them all.

Knitting Podcast #1: Folklore Cardigan, Peggy Sweater, & more
Thank you for sharing some Japanese Knitting designers. I have been looking for Japanese knit designers to knit.
Your Bruno Vest looks incredible! Especially the twisted rib details, so neat and crisp. Beautiful.
That vest is 🔥🔥 so neat. I love your videos!
Thank you so much!!
Hi, you really must love your father-in-law…what a huge commitment! I will cast on the Moby slipover, for me, I tend to be more or less an ”ego-knitter”.😊
Same here. And then every year I have a sudden flash motivation to gift knit. And come January I tell myself “never again” 😂😂
I am just finishing the Miles jacket, one more pocket and buttons is all! I made mine about 3 inches above the knee and I love it. Used Woolpaca and it is very cozy!
Yaaay! I can’t wait to wear mine. We just got snow so I’m feeling really motivated now 😄
Love your Army green 💚 You cannot go wrong with green 😉
I love all shades of green. Such a great underrated color
So nice to see other local knitters! I’m in Boston MA. Great work and really enjoyed your videos!
Hi from Westchester NY! Did you guys get snow yesterday too? I’m feeling very motivated for winter knits now 😄
I really like your lighting now 😊. Would you please consider expanding your description box with the name of each pattern and the yarn you’re using for each project? I’m loving your projects, but I have to scroll back through the video to find pattern names and yarn choices. Just a little suggestion, as I’m enjoying your channel and insights.
Hello! I always enjoy your episodes.😊 I’m pretty sure you have mentioned that you have young children, do you ever knit stuff for them? I’m always looking for something cute in a child size to make for friends and family. I’m not a grandmother yet, but I want to be fully prepared for when I am! Lol.
I knit the Harris Hood - I love it but would recommend to knit the neck part longer. I am considering redoing that part on mine because I find the length a bit on the short side
That’s great to know. Thanks for the heads up - I have a big head so a little extra length probably won’t hurt 😂
the moby sweater looks so good! I love the color. I might have to make a family matchy matchy set !
You should! If I were a faster knitter and if I could get sweaters for the boys done quickly I would do it!
OMG your voice...could you record meditation podcast please 😍. Thank you for your job !
Hahaha thank you! Maybe ill launch a new channel
There is something about those dark red cables that are really getting me.... Beautiful knits as always. Thanks for sharing.
Loving your Moby so much 🤎
Thank you🥰
Loved this type of content. Bravo
Thank you for watching 🥰
Love the knits, your style is mostly my style as well, so I love seeing my favourites list coming to life 🙌🏻 as another commenter said, love the makeup, inspiring on multiple fronts 😃😃
Yay, thank you! And thanks for watching 🥰
Your love for Ozetta has inspired me, and I'm currently at the same stage as your jacket with her Port Jacket. So far, the pattern has been an absolute joy to work!
The Port is also on my list, unsurprisingly 😂 maybe by the end of next year I’ll get through her entire portfolio
That PetiteKnit sweater is really coming a long. It looks great. I hope you have enough yarn to add length to your ozetta sweater/Pullover? The long sleeve version.
I hope so too…I can never get it right, either I have multiple balls leftover or I’m playing yarn chicken 😆
You’re such an even knitter, from memory you’ve only been knitting a few years, it’s impressive
Thank you 😆 Two years of garment knitting! I’ve been knitting other things on and off for longer but not in a very systematic way. I’m not a fast knitter but I have pretty good tension; I always tell myself I’m happy with that trade off 👍🏻✌🏻
Seeing the Miles Shirt Jacket in a color other than beige or gray is very inspiring. And that Moby sweater, just amazing!
Yes! Thank you! I am a big fan of almost every shade of green. Highly underrated imo
That slate green!! 😍 I have a sweater quantity of the mohair but now I want the heavy merino too! I am about to cast on the Miles Shirt Jacket with some Hillesvag unspun and mohair (still need to swatch). I am a big Petiteknit fan but also love Ozetta. I can highly recommend her Port Jacket. I knit it in a soft yarn combo because of the higher neck and it is so cozy. For the Harris Hood - the pattern recommends DK plus a mohair lace which adds up to worsted/aran on 5mm needles.
It’s even prettier in person. Beautiful heathering - I highly recommend it! Re the Harris - yes, I was just being so lazy and didn’t buy the pattern before buying the yarn. On Ravelry it’s classified as a DK so I foolishly decided not to investigate any further and just bought a DK yarn I liked 😫 oh well - I’ll use it for something else!
I so love your choices!
Thank you!
Love Ozetta! Her patterns are great. Always enjoy your videos particularly discussion of you FOs and WIPs. How is your Cardi Cocoon?
Me too - she’s amazing! The cocoon sadly is one of my dormant WIPs right now - I keep doing a row here and a row there but really not enough to show progress. I think my mohair yarn choice there was a mistake, it’s just too slippery and I find knitting too long on it quite tiring, since I really have the clench the yarn 😢
I have had a similar experience and it is unpleasant but I must say what you have shown us is really beautiful.
Always great to see you! All of your projects are looking SO great! The mic you had on worked great!
Oh thank you! Phew, I may just stick with this one and return the expensive non functioning one then 🤪
Your projects are beautiful. Great podcast.
Thank you so much!
This was a very enjoyable episode. Excellent audio! 👏🏾 Your projects look amazing. 🧶
Thank you as always! Hope you’re doing well❤️
I would knit the snow sweater without the trees....
Oh that’s an option!
Love the Bruno Vest🐻❄️
Me too. The more I look at the sample photos, the more I want one in that camel color too 🫣
Inspiring projects! Wonderful! Ps love your eye makeup! Very lovely!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for a great episode- your mic sound is very good. 😊
Yay, thank you!
I love your yarn choices, a “best yarns I’ve worked with this year” would be a fun video!
Great idea!! I’m planning a bunch of year end/year ahead type videos for December. So stay tuned!
I don’t know if it’s me or you but you keep freezing on me. Ok, it righted itself after a few minutes. I love your project choices. I just finished a Celtic cable pullover vest and loved it so much I did a cardigan version as well. I hate when the arms of a sweater make my jacket sleeves too tight, so, vests are perfect for solving the problem. That wine colored yarn is making me drool.😊
Oh no! I checked the video from my other RUclips account and it’s working ok for me 🫣 maybe a restart?
@ Oh, no, it corrected itself an d I had no further problems.
i have your same qualm about circular yokes lol-- my shoulders are just too big!!!
I know…it’s very hard to make it work without it looking like a sack
I LOVE this series! Please keep doing them if you like to! I screamed at the fake sweater scarf, and I agree with you on the snow sweater but I think I will do it at some point. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!!
I can do both the english and continental knitting. With the english, I tend to throw. With the continental I can do the knit but also the Norwegian purl knitting where the yarn is held in the back like as to knit. But I stick to the english because it seems to be less stress on the hands - the whole hand is move instead of just fingers. So when it comes to ribbing, I would do the continental where you can easy move the yarn back and forth. Another advantage in knowing both is that you can work colors easily without dropping the yarn to work the other color.
as far as I notice, ppl who use mohair yarn, always combine it with more robust yarn. I always felt, that some brands don't have a huge variety of their yarn and let customers combine two different types of their cough expensive cough yarn 😅 I also had a mohair phase in the 2010s, and sometimes, I combined multiple cobweb yarns. But nowadays, there is a huge variety of yarn at the big yarn company, e.g., Lana Grossa. I don't see any necessity to combine those yarns to get a certain effect. as for sock knitting, I also don't really like knitting socks. It's for a necessity. If you ever have a pair of wool socks you understand. It's warm, it won't be wet, it doesn't smell, it will be fit but not too tight. (and you don't need to wash them every day... hey! it's made from wool!)
it is unrelated to the content but I love the eye makeup! It looks so gorgeous!
Thank you so much 😀
Snow sweater in like a pink or purple or bright blue could be worn most of the winter …or taupe with white snow Or white with black or gray snow ( reverse what the sample is )
That’s a great idea, I like the idea of a taupe
I love this kind of video because it usually either has patterns I haven't heard of (the main reason I watch youtube) or it's talking shit about something annoyingly popular.
😂😂😂 you’re channeling my inner critic
The Daily News Hat: EXTRA! EXTRA! KNIT ALL ABOUT IT!
👌🏻✌🏻😂
Très belle inspiration 😊
Merci!
Great video! I also love Hannah Louise Poston ❤
The best!
Great video, I’d love to see more of this. And I like your cat!
Thank you!
Hi Michele, on the Agnete Cardigan - knitting brioche back and forth is actually easier, than knitting iit n the round. You only have to slip one stitch with a yarn over and knit one stitch together with the yarn over from the previos round, thats all there is.
I think the Snow sweater is more of a winter sweater. I don’t see Christmas or holiday at all. It’s just trees in snow. Id wear it nov-feb. or as soon as it starts snowing.
Yea please to more of these! I enjoyed this ❤
Love the way you mix up your formats and try new things. Also loved most of the patterns in your lineup. Newsprint hat and snow sweater are really appealing. Thanks
Glad you like them!
Great points! I print the pattern out and scribble notes and goes to town with highlight pens😂 In addition, I use regular tote bags. 👏🏻
I print and highlight too!
Japanese knitting is amazing! It's very innovative, and encourages developing good knitting skills.
I totally agree!
I love this video!! I'd like to see a "Would I Knit This" with all new 2024 patterns!
