I like ya. Great work. I just got my 2014 E350 ext. truck a week ago. It was a hydro work truck so body is well maintained and mileage is surprisingly low. I appreciate your no nonesense approach. Excellent points for consideration, especially the part about the need to focus on the lifestyle rather than the vehicle.

So you don't believe sound deadening can decrease the sound created by rain or hail falling on a van in the night? It feels a little hard to believe that adding a little extra density to the van walls and roof wouldn't decrease the amount of sound pollution from rain and hail. Although I do presume insulation material that is in contact with the metal surfaces would also decrease vibration waves created by rain and hail.

Love the idea of simplicity but I gotta say sleeping in a van in cold weather sucks if it’s not insulated. It gets colder than the outside it seems, and condensation from breathing builds up on the metal, just a bad scene for real

One thing that worries me on behalf of van lifers is the soon coming digital currency which will be programmable, allowing governments to limit how much money people can spend on petrol/diesel each week. I realise this subject is a bit off topic, but I'd hate to see van lifers (and others) freedom curtailed in this way. Especially by people who fly everywhere via private jet. 😔

Fixing my Vanilfe Van of 13 years, now. First major job on my Dodge. So I can leave L.A. County, disconnect, from the internet with good books out in the desert. With a simple nomad job and forget about all the nonsense. Can't wait.

I gotten bad skin from my van, maybe hidden mould behind the panels 😐 , any one else suffered bad skin in van life ike exzema ? Thx 🇬🇧
