I fell victim to scams that started on Instagram and then moved to Google Chat. A (women?) messaged me on Instagram and wanted to be my friend and about a week later was asking me to open bank accounts to deposit an inheritance. Then it moved to Bitcoin transactions and gift card buying. After that this person has me receiving money from random people so I could send this person the proceeds of the bitcoin and keep opening numerous bank accounts. I stayed too long before I realized all of this is a scam and fake. Now, my financial abilities are ruined for the rest of my life. I am no longer doing any of that and learned my lesson the hard way.

It's not just WhatsApp these scams are on Facebook as well they pose as women seeking friends but al they really want is your personal details countless times I've had to report & block them because they want give up asking for gift cards

You know I have gotten 1 last night on text message and have gotten several of them in past year I say wrong number and they try to introduce themselves I say not interested. And if they text back I introduce my self as an law enforcement agent lol they never call back

Most scammers were people stolen other people Facebook pictures then they used free temporary phone numbers scam others, because one of my sister in law, her Facebook profile pictures were stolen by someone else too

As an IT guy, I keep advising my friends and family that NEVER load any amount to any of those foods and drinks perks cards, if needed, only load the amount needed for that transaction if needed for the perks but NEVER preload, NEVER auto reload, NEVER attach your CC and debit cards to any of their apps. CC companies have strong mechanism to trace the fraudstars but these food companies don't care much and most cases they outsource their IT to some third party offshore who also don't care much about IT security.

recently I received a message that it was a mistake and she started apologizing to me, I replied ok but she still apologized then she started asking me about who I was and gradually we came to my earnings I don't earn much money so she broke off contact with me she also sent me photos of herself with a beautiful Asian woman I'm warning everyone because it is a serious manipulation, especially for lonely people who may believe that something will come of it.

You are a decent guy for trying to warn and educate others. Some people only think that stupid people get scammed, but they are getting better at tricking people acting like they already know you. As someone who lives in a rural area with no family in my state and no new friends I almost fell for it thinking it was a potential new friend I met recently and hoping it was her reaching out to me, but then I knew it was a scammer and blocked her. I hope I am still okay. She asked me to go to Whatsapp but I blocked her. She got my first name and age. I hope I am okay I am scared now. LOL we are all human and its best to keep up with the newest scams. I clicked on her photo and had a bad feeling immediately and blocked her. I hope that I am safe. Thanks

Miss Morsono of Indonesia is famous on interpals for being the queen of scammers. She claims she works for SSI in Montana state. Claims she has lived in 48 different states. Claims shes on the run from other past men. She claims she's abused and needs a place to live and needs help moving. Nine different men i know have been scammed by this person. She is well known in the women's Indonesian community as someone with expensive taste and likes to share her money with her friends. Interpals is one of the most well known scam sites. Be careful.

I recently listened to a text message scam identical to this scam. The information there was - don't EVER reply. Once you do they know they have a live phone # and don't EVER download the picture they send you - they are encrypted with a virus that can read every keystroke you do on your cell phone and can easily get your passwords on your phone!

What if you bought in late 2023 and just received you 2024 real assessment and the previous real market value is listed as 874,010 and the current year fair market value is listed as 740,000 (purchase price)? Should you still appeal and try to freeze for 3 years? How much lower do you go on the Owner's Value Assertion? The house did need various repairs, etc.. TIA!

Weeks after this happened to me, my friends wife had to take an HR exam. She chose to do it at home and I warned her not to. Guess what? She took it at home and now she experienced the same thing. So, I believe that this is definitely a money pit, and the vendor and Pearson Vue are involved. I will not be using the in home proctor again. I will go to a local testing center. But, I’m still going to continue to see how we can sue the dog crap out of somebody. If not, ask least get the Consumer Protection Bureau involved because this has to be some kind of consumer fraud. They hit our pockets now it’s time to hit theirs.

I am just curious if the mobile 📱 number is displayed on their profile, surely you can report the scammers and original mobile number can be traced and reported to fraud police?

Capitalism kinda killed this family dynamic in the 70s - I would love to make enough for my wife not to work but it would cut our retirement plan in half and severely affect our financial flexibility
