    Very perceptive, especially when it comes to your observations on the lack of morality of the scammers themselves. I have never given them any money but did interact with them during a period where I was especially busy at work. Texting them was some company and relief for me. However, since I would never give them a penny, they often became angry with me. One even admitted, despite sending pictures of a cute Asian female, that he was "a member of the Chinese gangster organization in the United States." These people are criminals, make no mistake. They are not your friend.

    Just got two more "friend requests" out of the blue... one on FB, the other on LinkedIn. Did not reply to either. This "Asian women scam" is getting such a bad rep by now. The scammers should come up with something new already.

    • @MattCommand1
      @MattCommand1  Год назад +1

      Actually, it is better if they don't change their ways. That way people know they are being targeted for a scam.

      @@MattCommand1 True. I just wish they don't associate the word "Asian" with this scam. Stuff like that just "adds more fuel to the fire" that could impact Asian Americans.

    • @MattCommand1
      @MattCommand1  Год назад +3

      @earthman99999 I am an Asian-American and I thought like you did and the impact. However, there is no getting around the fact that a lot of these crypto scams are using photos of Asian women! There is no way to dance around this fact. I hate to say it but anytime and Asian woman photo comes up, my guard is immediately up.

      Some men are just stupid and desperate and believe that these gals are real and genuinely like them. Like as if a real Chinese model who has dozens of real men throwing themselves at her every day is gonna go to some lame ass dating site to meet random strangers.

    • @ActiveAussie2024
      @ActiveAussie2024 Год назад +1

      The friend requests can be out of the blue like you said, or men on various Asian dating sites will be targeted. Then switch to WhatsApp. It's why I always mention the dating sites in response to these ( excellent) warning videos by Matt.

  • @ActiveAussie2024

    Great advice. Most important thing is to shut down the scammer as soon as you suspect a scam. Anybody on a dating site or who randomly contacts you on WhatsApp and talks about cryptocurrecy, currency trading, or gold and silver trading, is a scammer.

    • @MattCommand1
      @MattCommand1  Год назад +1

      I absolutely agree with you. It doesn't take much for me to get suspicious anymore. I am shocked that this talk about "investing" from stone-cold strangers is a thing. I could dedicate my RUclips channel to this topic because there are always new stories coming out on it.

    This happened to me, too, just recently. Pretty Asian woman "Lisa" who accidentally messaged me. Going through a separation/divorce, I was lured into the temptation. I lost only $150 but almost got scammed for $2000. This woman would teach me how to start my own e-commerce TikTok website. Thank goodness my bank denied my involvement with purchasing crypto via my bank account for a second time at a larger amount. I still talk to her just to waste her time now to hopefully deflect her or his total attention finding the next victim.

    Good on you Matt. Doing a great job as usual. You might remember I ve had a lot of experience with these gals.
    Just another warning to younger men: if you are on any dating site and there is a very pretty (beautiful) Chinese gal 28 to 35 with one ( glamour/photoshopped) photo and profile not filled out or barely filled out, it's a scam. Nearly ALL girls from HK or Shanghai on dating sites are scammers. The photo might be of a real genuine Chinese girl, a model for instance, but pic is stolen and used for misrepresentation/deception. Often it's actually a guy. However, sometimes it really is a beautiful girl who is the scammer.

      Hi Silverboy, welcome back. I recently did a video about how they are coming through professional sites like LinkedIn. If it is a female Asian, I am automatically suspicious. There have been a mixture of reports that some photos are copied but I have since found out the one of the original Asian women who contacted me uses her own photos. I found her Instagram and FB accounts but have been sitting on the info... for now. There are some Asian women impersonators but there are actually Asian women engaging in the scams themselves!

    honestly i don't blame them for falling for it, it's the most impressive scam out there. The biggest red flag happens only at the start of the scam, in my case i knew immediately because the girl wanted to buy an house in my country's city but the guy she was buying it from didn't have a name that's commonly used in my country, other than that it legit looked like a normal girl interested in making friends

    • @MattCommand1
      @MattCommand1  Год назад +2

      I respectfully disagree with you. I don't think it is that "impressive". But many of us are unaware or naive. In the U.S., women have no shortage of opportunities to meet men without resorting to random messages. Women generally are worried about their safety and creepy men. But younger men are oblivious to what normal women are like because they are so inexperienced. But older men are gullible because they are so lonely and want attention. Normal women simply don't send out random messages and then start talking about financial transactions. If they reach out, they reach out to professionals.

      @@MattCommand1 i agree with what you say but usually a desperate man isn't thinking straight... but yes some do realize that it's too good to be true

    The women often contact men via various dating sites. Then they get them to switch over to WhatsApp or WeChat. Or it's just random contact of WhatsApp numbers. But dating sites are used as an initial portal for potential victims.

      Yes, you were one of the early commenters who brought this to my attention. No matter the initial contact, it seems most roads lead to WhatsApp as the preferred communication app. I have no experience with WeChat so I can't comment on that.
