Rellor/Rabsca are memorable for being so annoying to evolve and for Revival Blessing. I feel like Veluza and Squawkabilly are more forgettable

As a tcg player I couldn't disagree more about Comfey, thanks the the lostbox engine lol. I'd probs go for Naganadel or Stakataka. Especially outta the ultra beasts just those seem so forgettable imo

Beehem was a great pokemon because of its great move pool and its analytic ability mixed with its low speed stat. i often use it when possible.

I've never had any problems beating Cynthia 😂 My guess is that she was the first champion of a ton of people that they fought as kids. I was a teen and had played all previous games as they came out and had no problem whatsoever.

I'd say the most forgettable character in Kanto is Blue's sister Daisy. She's always had a unique sprite, but all she does is give you the Town Map and groom your Pokémon in the Johto games. I don't think it's technically required to talk to her, but nobody besides speedrunners is going to want to skip getting the Town Map. The Isle of Armor also has Mustard and Honey's son Hyde, who gives you the Exp. Charm and a Porygon.

Another note on RSE rival 2 - if you ever wondered why Absorb was only 20bp in gen 3, it's to make sure that during this fight the rival''s (primary) STAB move -talking about Water Gun on Marshtomp here - always had the same base power when used on your starter. This is why you are given the Bullet Seed TM and Miracle Seed to buff Treecko at the start of the game. Didn't make this fight any easier for me as a kid though.

If it's only about forgetting their names then almost everyone in gen 3 and 4 and literally every single character beginning with gen 5 is forgettable to me. Beginning with gen 5 I wouldn't even be able to remember the rivals or local professors without having to think for a longer time. Everyone else I might remember how they look like or when they are encountered but don't ask me about their names.

Like that one guy said uhhh helioptile line was used by Clermont and the gym trainers, also helioptile was one of the first gen 6 Pokemon shown off in the trailers it's super memorable. Furfrou is fuckin forgetable asf

I think Clemont's is genuinely one of the worst in my opinion. The quiz itself is embarrassingly easy, almost insultingly so. That says a lot in a generation known for being too easy. But more frustrating on a personal note: its a slog to get through, because they try to build suspense for each answer, and it takes sooooo looooong. I like fighting all the trainers in gyms, but this gym makes me not want to do it because it eats up so much time. I hate it, one of my last favorite gyms

Everyone always mentions Holon as a TCG-exclusive region but never the Southern Islands, Puzzle Continent and Parallel Worlds. Also when it comes to forgotten spin-off locations it's not just Almia. There's also Fiore, Oblivia, Pokémon Island (which in spite of the game's popularity, is a name I doubt anyone even remembers), Mintale Town, Ransei (wonder how many people even played that one?) , Ferrum, Lental, Carmonte Island (it was taken from us far too soon), Tumblecube Island and while it's still relevant, I doubt anyone even knows that Unite takes place on Aeos Island.

I'm shocked Dark Cave in Johto didn't come up more in this video, because I'd argue it's easily the worst cave in Johto in the early game for the following reasons; 1. It's dark, and you don't get flash for another hour of gameplay at least. 2. While I'd argue being able to get Zubat this early is actually pretty good (Poison/Flying is a fine typing for early game in Johto and while it's weak, having a Crobat before (potentially) Whitney is incredibly satisfying,) it's pretty much all you can encounter in there, with one exception... 3. Even if you want to stumble around in the dark, good luck getting anywhere, because the entrance you just entered is actually pretty much the exit. There are short cliffs you can't cross over, and the rest is water you can't surf in. The rest of the cave is entirely inaccessible, and there's an item you can see that you can't get, if memory serves. However, there's also Dunsparce; I'm of two minds about this. On the one hand, Dunsparce is easily the worst part about Dark Cave. It's a 1% encounter, and it's arguably worse than even the hordes of Zubat you find in there right out the gate. Its moveset basically tells you it lives in hatred of everything beyond its isolation; Rage, Leer, Spite, Glare, etc. While it gets marginally better in later gens and eventually gets a good evolution, it's still... Dunsparce. But... I also legitimately adore Dunsparce/Dudunsparce, because it's so unabashedly itself. It's bad, but it's the best kind of bad. It punished me so hard for hunting for it, that I ended up falling in love with it to the point I used one in my last playthrough of Crystal. I named him Duke, and I eventually found a shiny version of him in Sword that I brought with me and evolved in Paldea (two-segmented, which I honestly prefer.) That one is Duke prime, now, and he still lives in bitter begrudgement of everything beyond his den in the Crown Tundra. Except me. He loves me, and I love him.

I wanted to say which Pokémon I think is the most forgettable but I forgot what it was.

In the Galar section you completely missed Hyde, Mustard, and Honey's child who built the cram-o-ramic, and because you forgot about him, I think that shows how forgettable he is. Alot of the pokemon storage system makers are forgotten too with Bill and Jacq being the most well known

I completely disagree with Tangela. Mainly due to R34. It was literally the OG R34 Pokemon. Tangela and ditto.

Tangela everyone remember it becouse no one know the real face so gave sense of mistery in all of us, gen 1 is definetly lickitung pink bad design and no evolution, gen 2 definetly sunkern, they did try to spam him here and there with grass type but if peoples don't look on internet no one know his name becouse no one ever cared even to learn it for how much is forgettable, mantine at least is the only ray pokemon so 100% thinking about water type it will come to mind
