I imagine Weezing and Drifblim getting Mega Evolutions. Weezing Pokedex entry states that there be sightings of 3 headed Weezing, so a Mega Evolution can make Weezing get an extra head. As for Drifblim its name has blim in it which is taken from the word blimp, so a Mega Evolution can make Drifblim look more like a blimp
Gen 1: Jynx - She deserves something after getting shafted in Gen 4 Gen 2: Yanmega - Because Mega Yanmega sounds funny to me. Gen 6: Gogoat - It would give them an excuse to show off the prototype for rideable pokemon Gen 7: Tsareena - Popular and would give an excuse to make a merchandisable design Gen 8: Toxtricity - Same reason as Tsareena but would appeal more to male audience. Gen 9: Flamigo - Unties the knot in its neck and unleashes untold power like energy wings or something.
Making a Mega-Dragonite sounds like a balancing nightmare, ESPECIALLY if it gets another ability. Imagine if it gets shit like tough claws or somethimg, it uses Dragon Dance, you break the Multiscale and it just Megas and runs through your team.
I love a lot of these ideas but you honestly convinced me moreso that Palossand needs a Gigantamax moreso than a Mega. XD I would say go ahead and give it both though, haha.
My hope is that most will get a Beedrill-scenarios; where a very underbeloved or weak Pokémon gets Mega-fied. Like Spinda, Watchog, Chimecho, Klinklang, Maractus, Druddigon, Sunflora, etc.
for gen 6, i believe they will add many mega evolution the most. To think abt it, all 3 starters of the land that gives us mega evo don't have it (it's kinda weird tho). I also believe GF will give mega evo to legendary pokemon and it can be gen 6 legendary too since all three legendary pokemons: Xernas, Yveltal and Zygarde have been forgotten a while. It's gonna be great to see them again. for gen 5 I think it's gonna be Victiny as GF definitely give mega evo to mythical pokemon, and for gen 2 i hope it's gonna be blissey because that's my fav pokemon and GF might give healer pokemon a mega evo like what they did to audino, very random and out of nowhere. For gen 7,8,9 I don't think they will give any of pokemons from these gens a mega evo, feel like they still kinda new.
Falinks could turn into Falegion. I'm imagining a design similar to the enemy "Legion" from the Castlevania games. The small Falinks could join the Big Falinks as in a Hedgehog or Testudo formation. Could be also similar to the "Army of Sparta" skill from God of War 3. I don't know if it can be a Mega Evo, a Giganta Max or an Evolution.
Just for fun, the Pokémon from each region I most expect to receive a Mega Evolution in PL:Z, as well as the ones I would most like to get one: Kanto: Dragonite (honorable mentions Fearow, Arbok, Hypno) - Tentacruel (channel your inner C'thulu, little jellyfish!) Johto: Lanturn (honorable mention Magcargo) - Xatu (now in even more ominous!) Hoenn: Flygon (honorable mention Masquerain - Cacturne (Mega-Cacturne has the potential to be incredibly badass) Sinnoh: Luxray - Lumineon (just give me a beautiful light show) [another fun pick would be Porygon-Z because of the name and because they could go crazy on the corruption and give it a ridiculous ability like reversing super-effectiveness] Unova: Musharna (honorable mentions Leavanny, Krookodile, Beheeyem) - Liepard (simply because it is one of my favourite Pokémon) Kalos: The original starters - Talonflame (go full Phoenix with it) Alola: Komala (honorable mentions Palossand, Bruxish) - Komala (could be very fun to have a woken up version that is a savage beast) Galar: Falinks (honorable mentions Eldegoss, Dubwool) - Stonjourner (make it form a circle and do even more weird stuff) Paldea: Scovillain (honorable mention Spidops) - Tinkaton (dual-wielding hammers!)
I swear to god Bidoof if they don't give us Mega for the Kalos starters. Make the same mistake a third time, no Mega starters in X/Y, no Gigantamax starters in Sw/Sh (at release), I swear they just couldn't come with a good reason for S/V starters not Tera.

Ursaluna was introduced in PLA, and it still received a new form in the Teal Mask dlc. Anything's possible.

My pick for gen 8 has to be Duraludon, even tho he just got a new evo the idea of his Mega form being the Prism Tower is just too good to pass out :3

Its so unfair that all the Kanto starters received megas (and Charizard has 2!) but none of the region's own starters received one
Arbok and Ariados are Pokemon I hope get mega's since them getting evolutions seems very unlikely.
