Thank you Thank you Thank you for making my Sunday morning- you make me laugh so much just by keeping things so real - getting so bored and fed up of cooking vlogs where everything is measured out and put into individual bowls even a half teaspoon of salt gets its own individual dish - please please don't ever change telling it like it is love you loads BTW feel exactly the same about the grandchildren 😂 xx

This was a such a fun video Linda I really enjoyed it. I love seeing other women pottering about in the kitchen. I seem to spend my entire life in mine! Yes to grated cheese, I can't be arsed to stand there with a grater. Food looked delicious, I'll be over with a bottle of dry white later this afternoon . xx

You’re my kind of Chef Linda. After 50 years of being the only cook in this house, if I can cut corners and knock up some lovely food like you just have then I’m happy. The lighting was fine, your food looked REALLY tasty (I’m waiting for an invite lol) and thank you Linda for all the laughs along the way.❤

Loved the cooking video. Nice to do something different. I’m nearly 70 and just started using grated cheese🙈 now off for frozen onions. Quite agree, anything to cut down time standing cooking. The food all looks lovely x

Bit late finishing this video but enjoyed it none-the-less for that. I got distracted by life. (Sigh). I'll be really interested to see your finished open wardrobe, as I want to do something similar myself. I don't know about those ready to stick wallpapers, but maybe that's a nice smaller area to try them out on? Here's a vet story for you. I was caring for my daughter's cat one time a few years ago and sadly, on coming home one day, found him in the road, alive but run over. I scooped him up and took him to our local vet. They said they'd try to save him and phoned me every day with progress reports. Sadly there seemed to be no progress and my daughter was shelling out £200 a throw ad nauseam. Eventually I said to her that, she'd tried her level best to help him and maybe it was time to let him go, if he hadn't improved. She agreed and I imparted this sad news to the vet. Hallelujah, it was a miracle! Next morning, said vet called me and told me there had been a remarkable recovery in the night, and he was going to pull through. With no more money being forthcoming, the patient was rapidly discharged from hospital a day later and lived on for another 10 years. I fear that dentists, vets and sadly, increasingly, GP's are caving in to sheer greed! Linda, you look really lovely in today's video. Don't panic, I'm not after your body or anything, but your hair's looking great and your white shirt is contrasting your skin in a really flattering way!

Brave Linda, very brave to cook in front of a camera! Good for you, and yes it's special if you are making it yourself! Funny, husband and I were just discussing non stick pans prior to watching, and saying how it's possible to destroy any and all of them. I do, frequently. Really enjoyed your 'session'. You are a girl after my own heart. Where once I did absolutely everything from scratch, I use any shortcut I can these days. I learned a few years ago that I quite like the taste of the jars of Italian herbs and that's all I buy these days. They go into anything needing 'herbing' up. And what's available frozen has to be the freshest of all, doesn't it? A certain company is always telling us how it goes from field to bag in a couple of hours! Good point about filling your pies with cold filling. Never too old to learn and I'll do that in future to prevent 'soggy bottoms'. You are indeed worthier for doing your own béchamel for the lasagne, Linda.... you do make me laugh! Glad for your tips as it's one dish I manage to mess up really often. You're a natural for this. No nervousness and you chatted to us quite happily while cooking and what I especially love? Not one ounce of pretension in you. So yes, please do more, but only if you enjoy it too. It a 👍👍 from me!

Great job as always Linda I’d come over for dinner anytime I’d even bring the wine 🍷 😂. I see you like mustard a quick recipe for you cut up all your veggies chuck them in a roasting tin with some chicken breast spray with oil and lots of black pepper cook for 20 minutes or so then I chuck in cherry tomatoes and asparagus. Mix whole grain mustard, lemon juice and maple syrup together chuck that all over pop back in the oven easy but very tasty I do it with salmon as well. Anything for an easy life these days .xx

Hi Linda That egg dish you made looks gorgeous and I will make one myself minus the cheese as am not keen on feta cheese . Maybe mozzarella. It’s strange you say you can’t make pastry my mother couldn’t either so I did it and she told me it’s the best pastry she had tasted. My secret was a third butter margarine and a small amount of lard as pastry is half fat to our as I remember. Her cakes were better than mine but it’s the flour grading that’s most important in cake making as I learned from chefs I cook my leeks in milk and water and leave them in the mixture until soft . My grandmother used Sir Gar butternut that is very expensive to buy. Hated it as a child as it was very salty. I used the milk and water from the leeks and made a white sauce with it but put that in at the end. I have made loads of lasagna I buy fresh pasta as I prefer it. The lighting was perfect . I put some chives in the white sauce for lasagna but yours will be good am sure All the best and have a nice weekend and will see you in the Next one xx

I watched your ‘chucking everything in’ video (just how I cook) all the way through and enjoyed it very much. Well done you on cooking three meals in hit. Everything looked delicious and I’m sure it was. I don’t mind watching you cook it makes a change for me to watch and not cook. I agree Linda if there’s a quicker easier way then go ahead. This was a great video to watch, I look at recipes then follow to some extent but do my own thing. Hubby will eat anything with chocolate in ( so cakes) son will try things I cook but will tell me if he likes it or not, if he likes I can do it again. But hubby cooks most of our meals. Keep up the good work love watching you as you make my day😊❤

It takes years of practice yo cook with no recipe so us ladies of a certain age are a wizz at this ...great vlog Linda im with you all the way make it as easy as possible & plenty of veggies in there too ..looked great all cooked ! Im sure it tasted good too ..have a good weekend x

I think you're a good cook, you made all that without a recipe, which is very instinctive..... I won't see you in heaven cos i buy a jar of white sauce for lasagne - i do pimp it up with extra cheese and nutmeg though😆

Would not want to be without my dishwasher! I load it and my husband who is always up first in the morning empties it and puts it all away!!😅 magic.

Hi. Just to help you with your cheese fix and cutting corners. When you do lasagne use a packet cheese sauce and add extra cheese with a bit of mustard. The pie looked very nice as well especially with the design on the top. I think you did very well on all these dishes and it’s nice to see someone being normal about cooking. Many people lead busy lives and don’t have 10 hours standing at an oven.

Your pie looks delicious 😋🥧 I do love a pie 😃🥧❤ I'm not a fan of lasagne but I'm sure it's excellent.👍 I agree with you about vet fees, so very expensive😦🤨🐾 Also agree about fruit, it is often disappointing; oranges that look lovely are usually all stringy and weirdly dry on the inside. 🍊 😮 For me strawberries are always the most disappointing though,🍓 they are always quite sour nowadays. My childhood memories are of strawberries being lovely and sweet, 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓what happened to them?🤔

I don't use white sauce for my lasagne my current other half doesn't like it he's so fussy 😃 I sandwich my dried lasagne sheets together with soft cream cheese got that tip from my daughter 😁. Every now and then I batch cook when the mood takes me 😂. Your meals look lovely I'll be round for my tea any time 🤣🤣🤣🥰
