It was my mother’s salt pot and I remember as child about 80+ years ago🤣my mum would buy a block of salt about the size of a brick for 6d and break it in this pot and she would grab a handful and salt all the vegetables boiling in their saucepan.( they tasted so much better then than the ones salt free we have today) I always wondered how she guessed the right amount. I liked the black and white dress and would style it as you said, perhaps with a longer length cardigan or waistcoat. The Orange bohemian style top is really pretty and fresh Linda….I loved it! The shaped tunic style top is always a flattering one for us plus size ladies! Great pieces from Roman! X

Like you, I thought the dress too short and the third top was OK, but for me the second was the star of the show! Lovely summer dress, which suited you very well. I watched most of the Olympics... and enjoyed most of it. We had a guy from my home town (Halifax) in the 800 metre final... he did come last though! 😂 Nice little haul... hope you keep the second top! 😊

Hi Linda nice to see you again. My favourite item was the last one. I don’t think you would get your wear out of the dress, the tunic my eyes were drawn to the orange bands around the arms but maybe they wouldn’t have been in real life. Ohh I felt your pain with dropping your keys in the car. Why is it when you drop them in a confined space they seem to go into the abyss? I lost the remote control for the tv this week I hadn’t moved from the chair I was watching a film, my hubby had to almost take apart the recliner mechanism and reupholster the chair to find it, it baffles me how that happens. I have 6 Grandchildren so will be interested in that chat. X
Love the blk & white dress on you,think the length could be a touch longer,but overall it's lovely..The orange floral top is nice,i think it would look nice with White leggings tho.Not really sure about the striped one,but yes its an easy wear top..love your patchwork dress,very nice on you too.❤
Sadly Linda I have to agree about that black and white dress. In theory it should look smashing on you, but there's something off about its proportions and any dress that's only going to skim your body loosely, definitely needs more length. I'd definitely send that back if I'd bought it. Loved the colours and the florals in that first top, but again, I think it's a bit off. Maybe too much detail with those lacy insets and a bottom border too. the florals alone would have been lovely. Do you think you might be oversizing? Maybe you are less than a Roman 20? I love the 3rd top though. Really flattering and the colour way suits you! That one's a winner! And the dress you were wearing too! Now that's a proper dress length. I loved it.

Hi Linda 👋🏻 I like the dress you are wearing 😍 With Revolution , they have a really helpful”shade finder”. You put in the brand and shade of a foundation that suits you ( colour-wise), and it gives you a match with their foundations. Also, ( not sure if it’s on the website only,) they replace/ refund if the colour isn’t right 😀Handy for future reference! Also, you could “ warm it up” using bronzer, that can work ! Mahogany wardrobe 🫣😮😲 😂😂 hopefully not 😂 The black /white dress is nice on you,but I always consider bending over when a dress is knee- length , and full skirted ! You may show off more than you would like !The orange boho top looks great 😀, and so does the black & white tunic! The only thing I can think of is, when we had our dog,every time she shook herself(often), we used to sing “ shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your booty, shake your booty … not quite the same I know 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry for the long comment🤭😂

Quite liked the clothes haul but have seen better on you. The dress is only too short if its uncomfortable when you sit down otherwise that was the best. The dress at the end was fabulous really liked that one. Like the no nonsense reviews on products 😊 the songs I get and was answering lol but cannot think of others tho I know theres got to be loads. Think the dress would look nice with some black leggings. Both tops looked good too. I’m in my 40’s so maybe you do have a younger audience than you thought. Enjoyed the video thanks. My husband lost his AirPods last year and thought he’d lost them when visiting family up north. Yesterday he saw a flash of white in between the door and the seat in his car and after both of us fishing about with a long ruler managed to get the item out and discovered the AirPods, which as they’re expensive was a good thing. So I know the trauma of losing something in your car. We do “I love you baby and one of us will reply and if it’s quite alright I need you baby”. I’m sure there’s others too 😂
🤣I'm glad it's not just me with the car thing! I can't remember if I said this in the video, but I took a speaker on holiday with me to use with my Spotify app (trying to sound trendy here!) - I used it, packed it to come home - zipped it in a bag with clothing and it's disappeared into thin air. I'm so hoping I find it cos a replacement is £80!!!! Could your husband look under your car seat for me just in case (it's not under mine)!! x
Given todays styles I wonder if the dress was meant to be worn with leggings, it was a bit short. But the orange top, sorry Linda, it looked like it had been made from Grandma’s kitchen curtains. The black & white top looked nice though & would work equally well with smart black trousers as it would with jeans. 🎉🎉
Hi Linda, I was about to do an order for the first time from Roman. Then discovered the £3.50 charge for returns, I presumed it was for each item as it did not state otherwise. Therefore did not check-out my order. 😏
Hi Margaret. I've just looked online and it says £3 per order. If you have a branch near you, you can return there, but you will only get a voucher, not cash or back on your card. The online fee is taken out of your refund, not at the post office. Do double check, though x
Hi there Linda Thanks for this Roman haul. The black and white dress to me makes you look bigger imo . It’s too short and it’s not you . The floral top is nice and would look nice with some brown cords but look nice on with jeans. I Love the colours in that top The Aztec print top and you could wear either black or a white pair of jeans or leggings with that. I am a few inches shorter than you so I could wear that as a dress lol ( just a joke ) I love that dress you are wearing now. You could also wear long shirts with long sleeves with jeans as I do and am 70 myself. As long as you are comfortable in them that’s all that matters.. tend to co ordinate colours with leggings as they are comfy All the best and have a nice week. See you soon xx

Hi Linda, I'm sorry I didn't like the dress on you, yes it is too short (for my liking) and I think it made you look wide, please forgive me but you did ask for an honest opinion, I loved the last top on you that's a keeper. I order from online Roman quite a lot because they have more stock than in my store but if I need to return anything I take it back to the store free of charge, they never give you the money back but they give you a credit note that lasts a year that you can spend in store xx
Hi Georgina. I appreciate honest advice - I always say, if I didn't want you to tell me, I wouldn't ask! I think I looked awful in the dress. The nearest branch of Roman to me is about eight miles away, so I return via post and just pay the return fee. I think more brands are starting to charge for returns now. Thanks for your feedback x
A well respected dog owner/vet says dogs should NOT be walked betweem 11am & 3 or 4 pm. If You personally cannot walk barefoot on the pavement due to the heat then your dogs shouldnt either!
O Linda uou do make me snigger. As much as open wardrobes usually store loads, I find them very depressing! It's SO much nicer to close everything off. If it's out of site it's out of mind as the professionals say! I wouldnt have open robes for love nor money! We are very big on music in this family - hubby was dj. We certainly don't have anything like your aside comments. Think you might be on your own on that one.

I like both of the tops and feel that you really suit the round necklines. Hope you don’t mind me saying as I think that you favour the V. I personally am now favouring a high rounded neckline. With Revolution , they have a really helpful”shade finder”. You put in the brand and shade of a foundation that suits you ( colour-wise), and it gives you a match with their foundations. Also, ( not sure if it’s on the website only,) they replace/ refund if the colour isn’t right 😀Handy for future reference! Also, you could “ warm it up” using bronzer, that can work !

The black /white dress is nice on you,but I always consider bending over when a dress is knee- length , and full skirted ! You may show off more than you would like !The orange boho top looks great 😀, and so does the black & white tunic!
The only thing I can think of is, when we had our dog,every time she shook herself(often), we used to sing “ shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your booty, shake your booty … not quite the same I know 🤣🤣🤣

Quite liked the clothes haul but have seen better on you. The dress is only too short if its uncomfortable when you sit down otherwise that was the best. The dress at the end was fabulous really liked that one. Like the no nonsense reviews on products 😊 the songs I get and was answering lol but cannot think of others tho I know theres got to be loads. Think the dress would look nice with some black leggings. Both tops looked good too. I’m in my 40’s so maybe you do have a younger audience than you thought. Enjoyed the video thanks. My husband lost his AirPods last year and thought he’d lost them when visiting family up north. Yesterday he saw a flash of white in between the door and the seat in his car and after both of us fishing about with a long ruler managed to get the item out and discovered the AirPods, which as they’re expensive was a good thing. So I know the trauma of losing something in your car. We do “I love you baby and one of us will reply and if it’s quite alright I need you baby”. I’m sure there’s others too 😂

I can't remember if I said this in the video, but I took a speaker on holiday with me to use with my Spotify app (trying to sound trendy here!) - I used it, packed it to come home - zipped it in a bag with clothing and it's disappeared into thin air. I'm so hoping I find it cos a replacement is £80!!!! Could your husband look under your car seat for me just in case (it's not under mine)!! x
Given todays styles I wonder if the dress was meant to be worn with leggings, it was a bit short. But the orange top, sorry Linda, it looked like it had been made from Grandma’s kitchen curtains. The black & white top looked nice though & would work equally well with smart black trousers as it would with jeans. 🎉🎉

Hi Linda, I was about to do an order for the first time from Roman. Then discovered the £3.50 charge for returns, I presumed it was for each item as it did not state otherwise. Therefore did not check-out my order. 😏
Hi Margaret. I've just looked online and it says £3 per order. If you have a branch near you, you can return there, but you will only get a voucher, not cash or back on your card. The online fee is taken out of your refund, not at the post office. Do double check, though x

The Aztec print top and you could wear either black or a white pair of jeans or leggings with that. I am a few inches shorter than you so I could wear that as a dress lol ( just a joke ) I love that dress you are wearing now. You could also wear long shirts with long sleeves with jeans as I do and am 70 myself. As long as you are comfortable in them that’s all that matters.. tend to co ordinate colours with leggings as they are comfy

Hi Linda, I'm sorry I didn't like the dress on you, yes it is too short (for my liking) and I think it made you look wide, please forgive me but you did ask for an honest opinion, I loved the last top on you that's a keeper. I order from online Roman quite a lot because they have more stock than in my store but if I need to return anything I take it back to the store free of charge, they never give you the money back but they give you a credit note that lasts a year that you can spend in store xx
Hi Georgina. I appreciate honest advice - I always say, if I didn't want you to tell me, I wouldn't ask! I think I looked awful in the dress. The nearest branch of Roman to me is about eight miles away, so I return via post and just pay the return fee. I think more brands are starting to charge for returns now. Thanks for your feedback x
