That was so interesting Linda as often when magazines feature so called average people you often wonder if it's just a couple of women that work in the admin department and they just build a story around them but this proves that it's not the case at all, I've got to say you look lovely on all the shots and what a lovely article for you and your family to look back on over the years.

Hi Linda That was a blast from the passed I had hair just like that lol must have been a nice experience on the day I’m sure. Around that time I worked on cruise ships. We had a week off as our ship went into a dry dock to get something fixed. So me and my friend went to Barbados $349 flights hotel everything not a bad price you are thinking well that was because it was Hurricane season. Yes one did hit so after 2 days of being stuck in the room watching tree’s getting turn up, sunbeds flying around we went out. It was very windy but sunny. Went into Bridgetown sat at the harbour out side at a bar with a cocktail looking at a map . Then my friend says take my photo with all the yachts in the background it was a fancy camera so she’s says just focus on the mast with the flag. So this lady sitting by us comes over and says no focus on a button on your friends shirt. So I took the photo she told us she was on a photo shoot of the island. So about 4 weeks later we picked up our mail there was this internal package with our names on it. We opened it up and it was a fancy brochure of Barbados with a note saying page 9 there was the worst wind blown photo of me and my friend you’ve ever seen omg it was terrible hair standing on end . One of the girls had been transferred picked up the book and got a shock when she saw us. So obviously this lady had taken a shot of us and it got published so that’s my claim to fame lol. X
Oh a lovely walk down memory lane Linda, I use to read this book at work during my lunch hour and C&A was my favourite shop in the world at the time, thank you for bringing back such lovely memories, wish someone would bring back C&A or any other decent high street clothes shop really 👚🤣

I was a model in Dublin when I was 15/16 ...in the days when you didn't need to be 18 feet tall and built like a stick insect. I was an odd time as I spent most of the time very hungry. Unfortunately, although the pay was good, you didn't get paid for about 3 months after the job had finished so I had very little money for ages, and very little food. Great video Linda, I'm already looking forward to the next one. Imogen x
God yea, maternity dresses not that I liked them..I remember Prima,I used to have a night job packing them out in the sticks in a aircraft hangar in late 90s,lol..C & A was a fab shop,got everything in there,they should come back.. thank you for an interesting video linda😊👍🏻
The fashion back then was very 1920s I thought... long skirts, drop waist dresses and flat shoes. I think we all looked a bit shapeless. I remember I had a relaxed permed bob hairstyle, which was so easy to style... wash, towel dry and run an afro comb through, simple. Thanks for sharing your experience and well done, be proud you beat all the other girls! I must say, you haven't change much 😊
This was so interesting, how lovely, what an experience!…………my Mum passed away in Feb and she was still having the Prima magazine, when we were clearing the house, had loads of them!❤x
What a smashing video that was, nostalgia and laughs what more could we want. How lovely to have those model photos of yourself in a mag, your claim to fame!! I had a bit of a claim to fame myself with a sting in the tail! I was asked to be an extra in a film in the 60s….I couldn’t wait for the film to come out I thought this is it Fame!, but when it did it only showed my back view😂😂. The film turned out to be a classic but can you image the complex I’ve carried around with me all these years. I found Jean by the way as Tina had also mentioned her with a link. Hi Maree. I see that a lot on the 'dead people' channels I watch, also stones are left, too. One creator said the stones were a Jewish tradition to 'keep the spirit in the grave'.... ? Maybe coins are for prosperity in the next life in certain religions?? I'll have to Google it! 🤔
