Congratulations on your first 1000 subscribers 🎉🎉 well deserved, hopefully many more to follow. I like the Q&A people do lets you get to know people a bit more. When you said at 58 you were too old for a job. That happened to me as a hairdresser . I went to work on cruise ships when I was 28 came back at 35 .Went for 2 interviews, salons both owned by men I’d say in there mid fifties but I was very nicely told I was too old for there salons. Didn’t bother to ask me to anyone’s hair to see what my work was like . These salons were not particularly trendy or upmarket so a bit of a shock really. So I thought sod it I bought myself another salon I’d had one before I’d got itchy feet. I had that for 6 years till I got married and moved. I still did hair part time up until I got my pension at 66, 2 years ago. X

Oh, Julia, I don't remember sharkskin petticoats, but on the subject of nostalgia, do you remember wearing liberty bodices? - lots of my school friends' had them. Not sure what the purpose was !!? A layer of warmth maybe? Thanks for the message x

Pet hates ill keep for later as too many of them (!!), but my favourite holiday destination is Nerja on the Costa del Sol, Spain. My Aunt married a Spaniard and they retired there, so it was on my radar and it was featured on A Place In The Sun and I saw how beautiful it was. We can't go this year because our dogs are a bit old and we don't want to leave them, but hope to again one day ☹️ We've been about eight times - there or the Algarve x

Hi Linda, good to get to know you. I would love if you could list some British YT’s. I could not catch who you mentioned. I would love more videos from England about 70+ women. It does make for a great community to cheer us on with this aging game. I got tickled about someone asking you if you were into the monarchy. I have to tell you. Cherish the tradition. As an American, I feel Queen Elizabeth was an amazing woman. I didn’t agree with all her decisions….i.e. Margaret or Charles wanting to marry Camilla, back in the day, but I think she was following guidelines set down by very strict, conservative tradition. All that seems to be loosening up now. I hope it can go forth into the future with a more human friendly philosophy. Much love to Charles and Kate as they continue to heal. It is pretty darn scary about Kate, in particular. It’s a wonderful thing to arrive at 70 and realize we are lucky. We got this! Hugs, judy

Hi Linda, good to get to know you. I would love if you could list some British YT’s. I could not catch who you mentioned. I would love more videos from England about 70+ women. It does make for a great community to cheer us on with this aging game. I got tickled about someone asking you if you were into the monarchy. I have to tell you. Cherish the tradition. As an American, I feel Queen Elizabeth was an amazing woman. I didn’t agree with all her decisions….i.e. Margaret or Charles wanting to marry Camilla, back in the day, but I think she was following guidelines set down by very strict, conservative tradition. All that seems to be loosening up now. I hope it can go forth into the future with a more human friendly philosophy. Much love to Charles and Kate as they continue to heal. It is pretty darn scary about Kate, in particular. It’s a wonderful thing to arrive at 70 and realize we are lucky. We got this! Hugs, judy

Some other channels I enjoy: Alternative Aging with Susi Grant; Mudlarking with Nicola White who is younger than us, but excellent nonetheless; Itchy Boots with Noraly - she's very young, but she riding a motorcycle around the world alone and it's brilliant; Helen Wells Artist - Helen is younger than us but took up painting full time in her 50s and is lots of fun and very encouraging; lots of other women artists, also vegan channels, and humour... But I do very much think you would enjoy Susi Grant.
