Hello, I like watching decorating videos - I find it motivates me to 'think' about decorating my home. We need to revamp our dining room, downstairs cloakroom and our bedroom - it just fills me with dread the whole process, because on each occasion the whole house gets disrupted because of one room getting decorated. 👍

Tbh, it is hard work and one job tends to lead to another that you didn't expect, but it's so worth it when you get a totally different feeling from the same rooms you've used for perhaps, years. The downstairs loo's taking longer than I thought. I did all the tiling and now Current Husband says he's not keen on the colour. 😵💫😵💫 Oh well, what can you do! x

I’m looking forward to seeing the finished cloakroom! I have a grandson who started school this week and luckily has settled in well but I know what you mean about secondary school when they seem to ‘disappear’ as far as school is concerned - living a more independent life and becoming their own person. And it all just happens so quickly! 😀

Hi Linda You can use Essential oils with water to clean your surface tops just a normal 500ml spray bottle. 10 ml of essential oil and water in the bottle should be enough for a month. Geranium, Ylang Ylangetc all have nice smells or you could mix whatever you like in there. For ironing I use another spray bottle with water and some fabric conditioner in as it gives the clothes a nice smell. And I use a lot of white vinegar to put in with the fabric softener to give your towels a bit of a boost and fluffs them up a wee bit more. Hi Linda Current husband did a great job on the open wardrobe and looks like the downstairs loo is going to be very swish . You did a great job with the paper. I’ve always hung the paper and done most of the painting but unfortunately now I’ve got very bad sciatica in my leg so can’t do it any more . I’ve got someone coming in October to the lounge and hallway not cheap I’m afraid but needs must . He’s done the 3 bedrooms a few months ago .does a great job. Only moved in last November can’t wait to get rid of the crazy wallpaper in the lounge it’s a big job . I think the lady who sold us the place thought it was lovely lol she’d get the shock of her life if she came in now as literally everything has been changed even the bathrooms . It’s nice to make the place your own. Don’t worry about your videos being to long there not at all. I love your sense of humour. I think is nice your not trying to flog expensive vacuum cleaners, jewellery, handbags have the time looking at some vlogs it’s like watching QVC 😂 I fast forward them and car vlogs hate them. I like your hair tucked behind your ears Linda! Gives you a whole new look. Doing a room up always brings a lot of indecision with it and it's always really hard to be decisive about some of the ideas we have. I've always wanted to be like one of those TV style gurus who waltz into a room, and do something amazing, seemingly first go..... (or is that just clever editing on the part of the production team?). It's all quite exciting anyway, and I'm really looking forward to see what you finally settle on and the end result. You must be so proud to see your younger grandchildren going off to school. I just love being around the tinies when they put on their productions and come home with lovely paintings and things they made for you. So endearing. And school seems like far more fun now than when I was a child. No-one was cruel to me, but I was so emotionally attached to my mum it took almost all of my two infant years to reconcile being separated from her every day. Charity shops have added another hazard to dropping things off in my area. Ours locally often say 'not today thank you'. Luckily we've fostered good relations with all of ours so they will often take ours but I've seen all sorts of frail people lugging heavy bags from shop to shop trying to donate it! I think it's a bit short sighted. I wouldn't care if they tossed out anything of mine that wasn't selling, if they were able to get something else that would. You're very lucky that 'current husband' is so knowledgeable and helpful! Thanks Linda, great catch up!

There should be a screw that goes into the fan cover. Remove that & the case should come off. We had an internal loo at one of our houses. Yes i love changing & moving furniture too. A change is as good as a rest! As my Nan said x Paper looks good but i think you need some bright red in there!

Done a good job upto now
My daughter decorated stairs and hall in London paper paper
It was beautiful and interesting every time i went upstairs
You seen more in the paper
Ladies in 70s clothing every now again was London red double deck buses
But the rolls of paper you had to re roll
Shes very retro
the fan should be able to click of and clean
It will tell you on Google ❤❤
